I don’t like all these topics you have to click in to, to air your views so I thought I would create a General chat like the old website
Moderators Note: thanks to Amz for the original idea of a General Chelsea Page which in memory of our much loved former poster Kangaroojack has been retitled ” The Kangaroojack General Chelsea Page”.
October 20, 2015 at 1:55 pm #673915Good call Amz.
October 20, 2015 at 2:14 pm #673933I prefer this I think, the old your say was way too fragmented. Ok so this is not perfect either but now the your say sections are all in one place rather than on the home page and every team page. Grouping topics is less messy than a infinite stream of comments but then its hard to find certain people you like to read. Lets face it though Teamtalk didn’t do a good job with the site in general. Should of hired me im a web/wordpress developer.
October 20, 2015 at 2:17 pm #673939Nice one Amit – I think everything is a bit too fragmented, so it would be good to have an all purpose thread. Right, has anyone seen the news stories on the fine levied on Bolton manager Neil Lennon? Apparently, after their game against QPR earlier this month, he said the referee was an “absolute disgrace” and added: “I’ve never seen a more biased performance from a referee in a long time. “He gave QPR everything he possibly could, I was so frustrated with that.” He was fined £3,500!
Good luck to anyone trying to tell me Mourinho is being treated fairly after that. Even former referee (you know, one of the ones who’s integrity Mourinho is accused of questioning) has lambasted the FA for the size of the punishment and their lack of consistency, also questioning how Wenger got away with his recent comments about Mike Dean.
October 20, 2015 at 5:53 pm #674188Mourinho has seemingly killed off the Falcao going in January rumour but without something truly dramatic happens in the second half of the season for him I can’t see him being at Chelsea past next summer.
October 22, 2015 at 12:31 pm #676294If you had to choose one to stay, would it be Hazard or Mourinho? If Hazard went, who would be able to fill his shoes? If Mourinho went would Ancelotti be welcomed back by Abramovic, and could he get the best out of our creative players? Food for thought!
October 22, 2015 at 1:24 pm #676390as a real blues supporter(birmingham city)i would like to say i hate seeing all this negative publicity morinihou and chelsea are getting at the moment.jose is a top manager who has not been in this position before so had to learn quickly what to do,i think the result against villa was the turning point and now you can look forward to top 4 finish at least
October 22, 2015 at 2:32 pm #676516Amit, Hazard staying and Carlo coming back as manager would be a dream come true for me. Said it a million times, biggest mistake Roman ever made was sacking him. Great manager – wins trophies, his teams play fantastic football and a decent bloke – Basically everything Roman seems to want in a manager, what the hell was he thinking when he sacked him?
October 22, 2015 at 6:06 pm #676837Roman himself decided that Ancelotti had to go because he was considered too soft which apart from the estimated £30m plus it would cost to pay off Jose makes Ancelotti coming back to Chelsea very unlikely imo!
October 26, 2015 at 11:59 am #681931Would love to know everyone’s thoughts on what is happening with us?!
It really is hard to put a finger on it, I mean we have had a woeful start but we are only 11 points off top spot?! Title challenge is out of the question because our form is terrible, unless we can turn around now.
Whether Mourinho has lost some of the players trust remains to be seen. Personally i hope we stick it out with Mourinho and see what he is really made of, and hopefully it’s not by getting the cheque book out, but changing our philosophy a bit more to be more attacking/free flowing and be less critical of our best attacking players for not tracking back (although this has to happen against the better teams).
October 26, 2015 at 12:04 pm #681943Unfortunately I think the absolute last thing Jose will do in a difficult time like this is change to a more free-flowing, attacking philosophy. Quite the opposite, I would imagine.
October 26, 2015 at 1:51 pm #682204Amz, here’s a few reasons to start the ball rolling I am sure some posters can add others.
As BL said very unlikely that we will revert to a free flowing attacking game given where we currently are, time to baton down the hatches and build a run of results imo. The evidence of the last two games v Kiev and WHU does not point to Mourinho losing the players.
1) poor pre season
2) too limited pre season
3) poor summer transfer window
4) players not up to speed fitness wise at the start of the season
5) the Carniero Saga
6) Jose’s regular poor reactions and flare ups with match officials and the media
7) Courtois injury
8) complete loss of form by a number of our key players
9) persisting with Ivanovich
10) not getting the rub of the green on decisions
11) 3 players bring sent off 2 of which probably cost us pointsOctober 26, 2015 at 1:53 pm #682216…..and finally the 12th reason a total lack of confidence resulting from our poor run.
October 26, 2015 at 2:13 pm #682267I cant think of any to add to 999’s list, and I agree that I would not expect too much in the way expansive football and youngsters being introduced. Its back to basics, be solid and well organised, work hard and eliminate the opportunity for mistakes by keeping it simple. Get that right, and then hopefully the forward players can then add some sparkle to create some chances and even better, convert one or two of them. I don’t see any other way forward. If we are in the second half of the season with no realistic prospect of European football or being relegated (!), maybe bring some youngsters in then, but I hope things don’t reach that stage.
I think next Saturday is a great opportunity to turn our season round. Applying all of the above, and taking a decent scalp in that of Liverpool. With the recently improved performances (if not results) and hopefully another decent performance tomorrow night at Stoke, the confidence can build. A lot of ifs, but you have to optimistic, don’t you?
October 27, 2015 at 8:24 pm #683707It never reigns but it pours Costa off injured in the 33rd minute.
October 27, 2015 at 9:59 pm #683797How is it that whenever Mikel makes a pass, the ball seems to roll at half the speed it does whenever anyone else kicks it? That’s quite a skill, being able to mess with the laws of physics like that.
October 27, 2015 at 10:03 pm #683800” rains” ! Lol.
October 27, 2015 at 10:34 pm #683830We are truly shite at the mo:-(
October 27, 2015 at 10:37 pm #683833What is happening at our club? Something has to be done or addressed (I’m not saying sack Jose). What’s happened to Hazard? Another penalty miss tonight. The guy is seriously lacking in confidence. I don’t know what the answer is and I hope Jose stops the constant whinging and moaning and concentrates on sorting this mess out. At the moment we’re a laughing stock. Is Jose acting the way he is because he hasn’t got the answers to sort this out?

He is indeed acting like this because he doesnt know how to sort it out. Jose is rattled, scared, and has no idea what he is doing in the current climate.
Apparently he is already sounding out a return to Inter, or a move to PSG.
