Personally i’m alot happy with how Conte is shaping up our club as a team to fear once again. and i never ever pay any slight attention to those nonsense rumours. because those kind of rumours never make any sense at all. Chelsea has no intention of parting company with Conte anytime soon. and Conte has no intention of walking out this exciting project he is building.
October 27, 2016 at 5:10 pm #1288338I think that many would have wanted Simeone before the decision was taken to hire Conte
I believe that Conte has done well under difficult circumstances and especially as he has been hindered by not getting a CB of his initial choice. However, he has made the best use of what he has and although not top opposition (based on current form anyway) the last 3 EPL results clearly indicate we are moving in the right direction and that Conte is able to impart his desires on the team and they are adapting well
Whether or not Conte was Roman’s first choice I would think that he is happy with what he has seen and will stick by Conte for the forseeable future, especially if a top 4 spot is achieved. KTBFFH
November 2, 2016 at 7:50 am #1297725Can’t help but smile!! Pep who basically failed to better Bayern Munich is now a world beater with his City Team because they beat Barca!! We have played Barca 12 times in the CL Lost 3, Won 4, Drawn 5. Yet never got this type of hype in the media, not even when we dumped them out at the semi!!
November 2, 2016 at 7:54 am #1297728Ah but NI we are Chelsea tarred by Roman’s millions and Mourinho’s success and some of his silly antics.???
November 2, 2016 at 8:34 am #1297836Personally I would not worry and notice that no one seems to care that Iniesta was out as was the majority of the Barca back 4 – but hey Pep just walks on water doesn’t he…!!
If this allows Conte and Chelsea to slip under the radar and let the media focus on both Manc clubs then I am more than happy….? KTBFFH
November 4, 2016 at 11:33 am #1302093Have you seen Traore’s comments on being sent out on loan and the lack of opportunities for young players? I have to say I understand his frustration and thought sending him out on loan was the wrong move.
Having said that, I did think we would be playing with two up front this season. As we are just playing with one, he would barely get a look in. Even Michy hardly gets any minutes.
November 7, 2016 at 12:24 pm #1307307BL – at the time, I felt that putting both Traore and Ake on loan was a mistake. Conte obviously knew what he had in mind and from what I read neither of the 2 are actually having good seasons in their respective if getting many games at all
I thought Traore had done enough but obviously there were question marks and so he should be taking it on the chin and looking to prove the management that they were wrong rather than just whinge. But as you say, even Michy is not getting game time but with Costa in such form why would you even consider dropping him….? KTBFFH
November 7, 2016 at 5:23 pm #1307853Costa is 1 yellow card away from a match suspension and if he makes it through the next game against Middlesborough then I don’t see Costa going 90 mins against Spurs without a yellow card.
So I think Batshuayi is either going to get his chance to play either Spurs or Manchester City, which will be very tough for the lad considering his lack of minutes and scoring form.
November 8, 2016 at 8:23 am #1308345BORT – to be fair, how many people felt that Michy would have got his chance a few games ago based on the start by Costa
He is playing well and but playing under control and so far since he reached 4 cards (which all teams will be aware of) he has done well and not got involved in any spats or issues
Agree that the Spurs game is going to be very confrontational simply because of last season plus the fact that Spurs, although unbeaten, are slipping away from the title race so Costa will be put under immense pressure. The best way to respond is simply to continue to do what he has done so far and put the ball in the back of the net. KTBFFH
November 28, 2016 at 10:39 am #1337488lovely innit – top of the league, all week to prepare for City and Costa still remaining disciplined and available to play them. No tougher match than City away. This will show where we are at.
November 30, 2016 at 6:56 pm #1342093It’s like a morgue now. Nothing like as good as it used to be under the old set up. At least you got a response to most comments on there. At least our football club are doing some talking.
November 30, 2016 at 11:39 pm #13425641967, hear what you say but try the City thread mate its slightly more active and that will accelerate as we get closer to the game. Cheers 999
December 1, 2016 at 7:56 am #1342696How good is Niklas Sule? i have been reading today that he is linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge although the transfer is far from fetched according to some papers because of the competition for his signature. he must be highly rated defender. the information they have given is that, he is a CB who specializes on playing back 3 similar as our formation. he is 21 years old, a full German international, and 6ft tall. boy ! is he the perfect replacement for J. Terry? i pray that we succeed in snapping him. anyone with more information?

These guys would seem to provide more than adequate cover to allow both JT and Ivanovic to leave but then asks questions of whether or not Conte makes changes in his current back 3 to accommodate either (or both) of these 2..? KTBFFH
December 4, 2016 at 8:50 pm #1351096Hey chaps, wishing you a very happy festive period,a marry Xmas and a very prosperous New- Year.
December 4, 2016 at 9:54 pm #1351180Cheers RB. Right back at ya broski 🙂
December 7, 2016 at 9:23 pm #1356850Eden Hazard cost Chelsea only £28 Million not the £32 originally quoted if thats correct hats off to the board thats a steal for a player of Hazards ability.
Im guessing Kalou going the other way if memory serves possibly played a part in that.
December 23, 2016 at 11:53 am #1385053crazy market when we can get Hazard for 28 mill and buy back Luiz for 30 mill after selling him for 50 mill. Hazard would go for near on 100 mill now if not more. 60 mill for Oscar, they’ve got to be kidding!! Merry Christmas all and a happy new year. It’s looking good for us at the moment. I’m supremely confident we will be Champion come May but there’s a long way to go.
January 30, 2017 at 8:17 am #1425339nice page in honour of a great friend to many of us for years on here. Let’s try and make use of the thread more often as they do on the main page. Surely people have non topical things to have a discussion about from time to time. Probably a good meeting place for those that like a good chit chat 🙂
January 30, 2017 at 8:28 am #14253491967, kind words for a great bloke who is forever in our thoughts how Jack would have enjoyed Chelsea FC playing a game in Perth next summer. Cheers 999
