Tuesday has gone, back to bread and butter games.

Can’t say i’m overly looking forward to it, best we can hope for is a draw I think. Even a poor Chelsea team last season raised their game against us and this year they are playing very well indeed, can imagine them raising it another notch too.

Where do we start. I think it has too be 3 at the back like the Arsenal game Dier, Jan, Wimmer. Wing backs walker and Trippier Imagine seeing Rose and Davies both out.

If 4 at the back i would go walker wimmer jan trippier and push Dier into his better position off holding midfielder. Dier with Wanyama and Dembele further up the pitch behind Kane. Alli doesn’t look fully fit, hopefully Lamela maybe back.

    Come on Spurs

When’s Toby back? Anybody know? He brings such a calmness to the team (and us fans too!), hell, we should make him Captain!

Dier looks, quite frankly, dire at the moment, I’d go with Wimmer/Van as CB’s and leave Eric on the bench, he looks shot right now. Wanayama and the Moose as DM… no idea up top… depends on who’s fit I guess.

Banjo i hear what your saying about Dier but I think it’s just the CB position which is making him look poor. He needs to be in the middle of the park. We need a fully fit Dembele further up the pitch causing havoc.

Luck… maybe, I’m no expert, but Dier’s confidence looks gone at the moment. I like the idea of both Dier and Dembele on their game, with the Mooseman higher up the pitch causing havoc. With out first choice back 4, Dier and Vic in the DM roles, and an on-form front four of Erikson, Lamela, Mooseman and Kane, I think that’s our strongest line-up!
Maybe at a push have Ali for Lamela… hard to call, they’re all playing pretty badly at the moment.

Hi Guys – looking forward to the game tomorrow as regardless of form this is normally good entertaining match

Although you had a disappointing midweek I am sure that the players will raise their games for a top derby but it sounds as though injuries and suspension are going to cause you selection problems – which obviously is good news for us

We are playing well at the moment and I am pleased and equally surprised at how quickly the players have adapted and adopted the new formation with Conte bringing the best out of the players. Although not conceding is a bonus and breeds confidence we all know that in football these runs will finish and with the form of Kane in derbies I have my fears

However, from what I have seen you have not been playing well as a team, even though you are unbeaten, and I am surprised at some of the selections made by Poch. Based on this, plus the selection issues and of course that record we have at the Bridge I am going for a home win in what will still be a tough game

Just hope that it lives up to expectations and that the officials are on the ball so that the game does not degenerate like it did last year. KTBFFH

Hoping Lamela gets a look in maybe as sub as Sissoka seems like a waste of space.

I don’t think three at the back is enough! Walker, Dier, Wimmer and Jan, even though it’s not the best role for Dier.

Erikson needs to pull his dammed finger out this season, but with the beasts Dembele and Wanyama, Son working his socks off, almost fit Alli/Lamela and Kane connecting to something we should get something out of the game. Mainly we need to show some desire and determination like last season.

Many have pointed out the connection between our best players signing new contracts and their form dropping off, which seems to be true. Surely these contracts are performance related no?

Barely dare to watch today! COYS

WTF .. Twice Dembele lost the ball in midfield , and the goals came within 30 seconds. Dembele is hugely skillful, but he gives away fouls or goals almost every time he loses possession.

I thought we played very well yesterday, bossed the 1st half and first Chelsea goal came from nothing. Obviously second half Chelsea had to improve but it was that first goal that was the killer.

Dembele what a great player, he just looks amazing on the ball.. The way he glides past players and makes them look like little boys. We all know Dembele is strong and can hold off 2/3 players at the same time and sometimes I think he purposely invites the players onto him, by attracting the players and getting out of the situation by playing the ball he’s created space for others to take advantage off. That’s the chance he takes and when it works it’s beautiful and when it goes wrong like last night you have to make sure your defenders are alert and ready to clear the mess up and last night they weren’t. No sure how Moses managed to get all that space.

Like I said we we played well, the aggression was there last night, we moved the ball quicker and far less messing around at back with the place kicks. Problem is we pick and choose our matches, we need to keep it going now with Swansea next week, anything less than 3 points would just be disgusting and embarrassing. Apply ourselves the same way as the chelsea game and all will be good in da hood.

Hi lads, i hope it will be a good game tonight. both teams are terrific and are on a fantastic run. i have always admired your teams although i admit wasn’t my favourite and that is understandable with me being a fan of one of your arch rivals. the ways you press teams higher up the pitch is fantastic, and when you are in the mood not many teams can live up with your game. with the quality on display from both sides, i will be disappointed if we don’t witness goal fist tonight. Tonight is our biggest test so far. and if we come out unscratched then i don’t know who will stop us. but my prediction is a score draw say like 1-1 or 2-2. or on a selfish point view without upsetting you, we nick the points. Pochettino has done a fantastic job.

What a game. Great win for the Spurs. Not only did we close the gap but it was sweet revenge for last season. Wanyama was by far our man of the match and Toby at the back was majestic.
Great goals by Alli and Eriksen has found some form.
    Long May it continue.

Spurs were brilliant last night.Eriksen crosses for the goals were strainght from Heaven and Delle was unstoppable. Wanyama was an intimidating enforcer to Dembele’s skills. Walker and Rose were great and Toby was commanding at the back. Hell….. everybody was good. We outplayed the most in-form premier league side, and leapfrogged City and the Arse into 3rd.
Altogether a magnificent night for us!

Congratulations. think the best team on the day won

We were not at our best and not sure why. Was it tiredness, pressure of the record or simply the way that Spurs played – my feeling is probably a combination of both

Totally agree that Wanamaya was your best player and commanded the middle very well (is that his best game or does he play like that on a regular basis..?)

Have to admit to some disappointment in the way that we conceded the goals but also accept that the movement of Ali was good and both goals were well taken

Not the end of the world for us so long as we can pick ourselves up and go again but it does open up the league a bit more and certainly puts you guys firmly in the frame as well. KTBFFH

CFC1905… Wanamamayaa pretty much does that week in week out….close game overall, simply a case of us taking our chances and your boys fluffing their lines when it mattered.

Well done boys. allow me to congratulate you for your impressive win and performance last night. you had been by far the best team of the night and deservedly took the 3 points. although i was disappointed that we lost the game. but i had to salute your performance. you are now third and i can’t see many teams displacing you.you have a very good chance to win the league this season than last time. i will be surprised if you finish lower than 2nd or 3rd and not win a cup.

For us ? its obviously back to the drawing board. we had been very poor last night and couldn’t cope with your pressing and energy game. there is no shame in to losing a top team in Tottenham. i was disappointed but not disheartened. because i know we have lost to one of the toughest team in the league. i was happy to have played with you even though we have lost. because i would rather face you now than later. i can’t see City stopping you. and if results go in your way you may finish the month in second place.

Are you lot on a wind-up? Another sensible complimentary Chelsea fan? 🙂

Joking aside, it was a cracking game (or so I thought!), no naughty’s from last year, ref was pretty decent with no real “complaints” for/from either side…

Don’t know about finishing 2nd, although I think that was the first time what I would consider to be our strongest side have played together this season… just hope that 11 can stay fit and who knows?????

Banjo, I need to tell you that, we are always gracious in defeat as we are gracious in victory. there is no dispute that Spurs were the better team on the night. and deserved the 3 points. put the rivalry aside. you were fantastic that night. whether you can sustain that kind of performance is another matter.
