Pretty nervous, no idea what to expect from us nowadays but hoping for the best as always. They’re missing Pogba and Zlatan which might hinder them, even though Pogba has been mostly anonymous this season (against us at OT). We’re missing Silva so I would put De Bruyne is his favourite #10 role. Come on City make us proud.
April 27, 2017 at 2:22 pm #1470679I was going to come up to watch the match but a heavy cold and chesty cough have put an end to that – cancelled the train journey and hotel and will watch with a mate of mine who has Sky. I just don’t have much faith in the team these days – we can’t seem to hold a lead what with the chopping and changing of the team, not to mention the obsession with playing Bravo. Anyway I hope all those City fans who go tonight enjoy themselves as we get a much needed win. Incidentally, United also don’t have Mata but one has to note that they are the form team in the league. I hope Sergio is selcted as well as Kompany and Ottamendi. Yaya must play and I agree with Maxwell that De Bruyne must play the number 10 role. If only Guardiola had given Gunn a chance perhaps we could have a proper goalkeeper between the posts. Please can the forwards shoot when they get a chance instead of trying to walk the ball into the net.
April 27, 2017 at 2:26 pm #1470680When we beat them at Old Trafford Mourinho had Rashford on the bench – this time he’ll play. Kompany can control Zlatan – Rashford is pretty quick so we’d better be careful. It wouldn’t surprise if Guardiola breaks the partnership between Kompany and Ottamendi – be another big mistake if he does.
April 27, 2017 at 4:02 pm #1470746If they play a front 3 of linguarrd, Rashford and Martial and we try a high press, it could be an uncomfortable evening. Please PG play to our strengths allow KDB the 10 role and PLEASE PLEASE no Bravo.
Lets do the double over the swamp and secure top 4 to boot!!!April 27, 2017 at 6:33 pm #1470814I expect them to play with energy up top and cloggers kicking lumps in the midfield. If Bravo plays it’s as much as mismatch with Rashford as it was when Demichelis faced him
Kdb has to play 10 if Silva is out as expected, front 3 of Sane Aguero and Jesus, Yaya Ferna holding please…
April 27, 2017 at 7:06 pm #1470820At last we have identified the Old Trafford mole….
It’s chuffing PEp Guardiola
Bravo again ffs!!!!April 27, 2017 at 7:07 pm #1470821Team ok…apart from bravo..will give little turd sterling benefit of the doubt …..for abit!!
April 27, 2017 at 8:52 pm #1470872Watching at home. Half time. Pretty poor stuff from both teams. Bravo gives me the Caballeros. Nearly presented them with a goal.
We have had about 10 attempts but nothing looking like a goal. After 58 years watching still cant stand these games. Too nervous!April 27, 2017 at 9:18 pm #1470886Jesus on sterling off please….why are the shots blasted over the bar most frustrating
April 27, 2017 at 9:58 pm #1470921Jesus on with aquero rest season plz
April 27, 2017 at 10:00 pm #1470924I think Mourinho won the tactics. 10 behind the ball. Works against us. Didnt really look like scoring.
April 27, 2017 at 10:07 pm #1470931Never really had a clear cut chance, Jose clearly got what he wanted. Good to see Bravo still get a standing ovation, I was skeptical for a second. Again I thought Sterling was poor, losing the ball far too often. De Bruyne tried the hardest, Kompany fantastic, Jesus exciting and Aguero unfortunately still not himself. a point isn’t a terrible result, we’re still favourites for 4th..
April 27, 2017 at 10:13 pm #1470939You’ll finish third. Don’t need to worry about 4th
April 27, 2017 at 11:22 pm #1470990Thought both Sane and Sterling were poor. Always running inside into a red brick wall. They defended well. Good to see Fellaini sent off.
April 28, 2017 at 12:09 am #1471008I’ve seen countless derbies over the years – mostly up until recent times when city have a vastly inferior side, yet I can’t remember one where a team was so utterly negative – time wasting in the first half, fouls to break up play and 11 players behind the ball. Valencia was awful every time he got the ball. – BOOT, up and under. Yes credit where it’s due, well organised, stubborn and well drilled but those I’d not associate with any united side I’ve ever seen – reminded me of Liverpool under Hodgson a few years back (when Mansour watched paid a visit)
Thought the game was poor – united so negative and city really ran out of ideas after 70mins. Disappointed city didn’t make a lot of run to unsettle uniteds back 10 and Pep was slow to change it (could have easily got away with a back 3). It’s times like this we really could do with a focal striker target man to play off.
Felt if united attacked the space behind Zabba and Kolorov with pace we could have had some serious problems but you have to venture in the opposite half to do that. disappointing all round really
April 28, 2017 at 4:43 am #1471019Crosses going in around six yard box..no one running in….
April 28, 2017 at 5:49 am #1471024Disappointing game, pity that firstly Aguero missed that early chance, secondly no Silva and thirdly why did Pep wait so long to bring on Jesus? Both our wings were poor and Sterling needs to practice shooting both for power and placement. Obviously Mourinho came for a point and succeeded, if only Aguero had scored it would have opened them up. At least Bravo did not make a major cock-up this time. We can’t afford to drop any more points.
April 28, 2017 at 9:48 am #1471153Agree with you Bluefen – I was surprised by Valencia, played like Huth – no Utd player ever got their head up to try to find a teammate, it was embarrassingly negative from such a team but it was up to us to break them down and we didn’t mix it up enough, Silva would have made the difference or if Aguero could finish but why no subs sooner, or change of shape.
Peps interview after sounded like he was also scared to lose it. I’m guessing the sports scientists said Jesus could only do 10mins!
Mourinho should be charged for his comments after the game, the Fellaini incident was a proper headbutt (at least in football terms), not one of those aggressive nudges like Nolito does
April 28, 2017 at 10:05 am #1471179Dissapointed we had a great chanse to claim the cl spot. Both our wingers where poor United Always got 2 players to help eachother out when Sterling and Sane got the ball it´s a shame we don´t got any wingbacks that can help them out to make runs to create spaces.
one thing i got really botherd about is why does not anybody make runs?
we Always play the ball to a players that comes and meet the ball not the opposit, when they run towards the goal it´s the same all over the pitch. we play with no pace and speed in our passing the ball Always comes back not forward.
I now many of you guys like Yaya, but i really Think he holds up the pace and speed in our play he does not fitt in Pep style at all to slow with the ball.
we really missed Silva atleast when he has the ball other players now if we make runns we have a chanse to get the ball without him it looks like the players doe´s not belive they will get itPep have alot of work to do so doe´s our scouting team.
April 28, 2017 at 10:09 am #1471182One more thing i´m getting sick and tired to hear “we did Everything to win” then why don´t we? it´s been like this almost every game ít´s about time we do anything about it.
