It is a concen a thigh/groin problem sufferee v Everton allegedly and Hazard went off injured in the Belgium game too.

But you can’t play football without the odd injury sensible to get Costa back to Cobham hopefully with over a week to go both will be ok. Fingers crossed eh!

Not heard much about Hazards injury, heard more about Courtois burst eye vessel so Hazards must be nothing.

Costa’s doesn’t seem too bad either probably more precautionary than serious.

Costa apparently got injured in training with Spain, was assessed immediately by their medical team and sent home. Sounds precautionary but it will now be down to Chelsea to asses the extent of the injury but indications are a thigh injury

Good news is that Costa will get at least a 2 week break assuming he is fit to play against Boro and longer if the injury is worse than thought. Plus side of that is that Michy would get to start a game (or possibly more) so we can all have a better look at him

On the Chelsea web-site it is reported that Hazard played the full 90 minutes the other day and that Courtois was rested and no mention of any injury to either player. KTBFFH

this is of course not good news but also not totally unexpected as with so many players involved in international qualifiers and friendlies someone was bound to get injured. On another note we need the relative back-up and to be fair to Bats he has not really had enough game time to see what kind of impact he could produce. If Hazard is also injured then I am afraid we have no-one else as a decent back-up, not even close.

Blaze – when you have a player like Hazard when he is on form then I think that the vast majority of teams would struggle to provide decent cover if and when they were injured

Lets hope that the guys on here are wrong and the official web-site is more accurate…? KTBFFH

Injuries at international break are now part and parcel of the game. What is disappointing with respect to Hazard is that they were cruising and so no real reason for him to be on the pitch as the manager could have taken the opportunity to look at other players

Lets hope this is not too serious and possibly just precautionary…? KTBFFH

if we are getting injuries… let us get them in early.. so we can try other players with this formation… so it won’t be a disaster… during the tail end of the season.

Although I would not call this a bonus but at least it is only Boro at the weekend so out of the next 3 games if we had to play a weakened team then I would much prefer it is this weekend

However, lets wait for the update

I saw some panicking here on Friday regarding Courtois and his red eye but he played down any problems at the weekend and also played so maybe things are not as bad as first thought…? KTBFFH
