I wonder if Guardiola has yet realised what he’s let himself in for.

We all know that UTD have a long way to go before they can be called a ‘good’ team, but today they were far superior in every department to City. Pep must know by now that there are a number of players on show today who are simply not good enough.
Whether Pep has the management skill to get more out of those players remains to be seen, but it looks as if City are going to spend BIG in the summer which means they could be up against UTD in attracting players.

Fraudiola to take over city who will be involved in the Europa League next season. If that was to happen I think we would attract better players than them. But also, if we make top 4 would that mean LVG stays??

‘but surely, this topic doesnt concern manchester united?’

It concerns all football fans, whoever they support.

Only City fans would consider it no business at all of any other fans.

City fans seem to be only interested if the fortunes of their own team. So I’m telling them they’re in for a rough ride next season – continually nearer the bottom of the table than the top.

Concerned Fan, I’ve read some drivel, and a lot from our fans, but your contributions really do take the prize.

The City team is old and unmotivated. Guardiola will have a lot of support in the transfer market but make no mistake, this will definitely be his biggest challenge.

I am interested to see how he does in a league where possession isn’t king.

‘Why is this topic on our page guys n gals?’

Because it was an observation taken in a game in which UTD featured.

Or do some fans only watch their team?

I don’t believe they do. I believe most UTD fans have a general interest in football and what goes on in the football world.

well said @kingjaziri, concerned, you are trying to make a general footballing topic a Man Utd topic and last I heard, PG has nothing to do with our club other than he is another opposing manager. I would expect to see that question on City’s page mate, not Uniteds. Fans come on here to discuss Uniteds issues as we have more than enough at the moment bud.

I don’t see a problem with a Utd fan wanting to discuss our closest rivals and gauge our opinions as Utd fans on how they’ll do under their new manager next season. He may want to post this on the general page but he may not want to hear the opinion of other fans. I’m sure there was a thread about Klopp on here when he joined Liverpool and I don’t think there was any issue with that one but I could be wrong.

I think Guardiola has a massive task on his hands and kudos to him if he can make City anywhere near as good as Barca or Bayern.

He’ll have 4 centre backs, 3 of which are clowns and the other struggles to stay fit for more than a week at a time. He’ll have 4 full backs all on the wrong side of 30. His holding midfielders are bang average and then there’s Yaya Toure who will be first out of the door. The only area he will be strong in is attack with Aguero, Silva, De Bruyne and Sterling although Silva is also the wrong side of 30 and Aguero is susceptible to an injury layoff for periods of a season.

I agree with KingJazin. In fact the inro on the old forum said it was a place to “chew the fat” about United.

But to comment on the original post, its a dream job. Pep will have obscene salary and almost unlimited funds to build his own team. Managers want to build their teams. It’s better than inherit a successful team and winning trophies with the team his predecessor built.
