Kind of agree with mcfcpsycho, then I got to the last sentance. Bony will probably stay?? Why? Pep may be a great manager but he isn’t a miracle worker. He will be first out the door, no point in keeping him at all. Far better to bring back Dzeko or even balloteli!!! than have Bony in your side.

No matter what we think, Pep will already have made up his mind who he wants to go,importantly..when . He will also have fresh blood brought in, not anybody but players he knows will play to his system. He maybe new to the PL but the reality is…it’s a game of football….played at different levels…Pep he will be determined to have them playing from day 1. As to MP, I hope he finishes at City with some thanks from the City fans, Mistakes happen every week in football. I have found his des ions hard to understand at times but then again, I do not have all the facts. For the rest of the season we must support the Manager and team

My faith in Pellegrini was lost after the Barca games last year – to go 4-3-3 in those games showed either how inept or arrogant tactically he is.

Respect to the man for his calm approach pre/post match – I’d much rather have that than the egotistical Jose, LVG and Mancini’s balling of players out publicly after a bad match. But tactically he has proven time and again he is clueless.

Could never understand what why any club would hire someone like Pellegrini, never ever rated him, cannot speak proper english except for the words “a very important player”, has no tactical clue, brings in the worst player I have ever seen in any position in Demichaelis and still plays him despite his weekly horror shows. It proves what many suspect that when clubs hire managers they are taking a chance and hope for the best

Trebor, whoever you are. You are talking nonsense. Two league cups, one EPL title, still in the CL.
ALSO do not insult his English. How is your language.

Unlike Pellegrini and yours my English is almost perfect, what he won is simply cause of what he inherited.

Trebor….nonsense…it is how you play not what you inherit, that also assumes you inherit well. MPs failings are putting trust in players who have not responded. maybe, just maybe our owners value dignity differently, our club is seen in a different light now, in part, due to MP. His English is OK to me, being a mancunian, I can understand it, maybe others cannot. He has one over used word “important” but in context he is right.I am sorry to see him go but the time was right. I also do not put any significance like the media do to the timeing of the announcement. If I was to guess, he knew before he signed the contract extension but also knew Pep has been on City wanted list for years. Where is the surprise….only the media do not know

Good points Brian as always. But the question is are you really sorry to see him go? The reallity is he will probably see out till the end of the season, I think we would do better with a caretaker manager for the last two months who could see holistically!! Remember that word the club banded arround after sacking Mancini?, pick the right players and formation and motivate the team. All factors that have been severely lacking this season. Jim

Respectfully, Brian, in my opinion Pellegrini should have been let go last season when it was apparent to most that as nice a guy as he appears to be, he is clueless when it comes to making the correct decisions regarding team selection, team tactics, player substitutions, etc, etc. By lacking miserably in the areas identified above, he has single-handedly cost us, the fans, and the Club generally, success in the League and in the FA Cup. Why the owners have put up with his ineptitude as a coach, beggars belief. Like Jim, I believe that he should be let go NOW, with an interim manager (Kidd could not be worse) till the end of the season. If not, I can see him dragging us down below fourth spot and wouldn’t that please Pep who will be trying to attract worldclass players to the Club next season……to play in the Europa League!!!

I can’t see us letting MP go before the end of the season. IIRC Kiddo wasn’t that impressive when he filled the void between Mancini and MP and with PSG looming I think the owners will stick rather than twist.

Wondering if we lost the Carling Cup would he have been let go then

He should fall on his sword and do the honourable thing. He might turn it around in the league but knowing city he will leave after we lose to psg and too late to retain 4th place.
The kind of club that charged £60 for European tickets and asks fans for £5 texts for charity….insanity goes hand in hand with reality.
Thinking really hard about next season, whether to bother, maybe sense will prevail and prices will drop as entertainment certainly has.

I’m curious what others are being charged… I sit in the family stand, level 1 with my two sons… We are in the Champs League cup scheme… City have just taken payment from me for the PSG games for the tune of £60 for the three tickets.

I am not disgruntled by that price – it’s the quarter finals and I think the last time we went to the pictures together in central Manchester (IMAX) it wasn’t short of that price?

I’m sure there are more expensive seats than ours but for me I don’t feel ripped off

We are not in the cup scheme, but might as well be as I think I have missed a total of three cup games including CL games the last four seasons. I am going to join next season with Pep coming. For PSG We will be paying £40 for mine, £30 each for my eldest two 16 and 19, I upgrade my youngest 10, so her elder sister at uni can go instead, as her mum isn’t keen on her going to midweek games in school term time as we get back too late. So that’s £100 in total for three tickets, I’m not over the moon about it but won’t boycott the game in protest. We sit in north stand tier 1. The downside of being in the cup scheme is you cant get to pick your seat in other areas of the ground which we like doing at times. Jim

Pellegrini services should be dispensed off immediately and bring in an interim manager for the balance of the season, I am not a big City supporter but in all honesty I would rather they qualify for the CL than any other team up there besides Leicester or win the EPL which of course is not now possible and in fact their is real danger of falling out that top 4 place and Pep will really be
p-off if that happens. Pellegrini is a manager I would never hire for a whole lot of reasons and also just about any manager could have won what he did with the resources he had or received when he first arrived.

MCFC – Psychology. I still disagree mate, I absolutely believe this squad will be completely done from the ground up and we will see a huge turn around of players.

With regards to Pellegrini, I shut him down the year when we played Barca away and he played 442 or even 433 or what is 4 1 5, I cant remember, all I DO remember was shouting at the TV for the entire game telling him he is blind and useless and stubborn and arrogant to the opposition. We all thought he wouldn’t make that mistake again, but he has, over and over and over and over!!! Is that enough overs??? Now we are here this season, we have the announcement and form hasnt been great since, id argue we weren’t that great for months before it. The start we had this year was amazing, take that away and we are sat around 8th guys. So for any Pelle lovers, what then? The team he inherited won the double that first year not him. Am I negative? am I ungrateful? Call me what you want guys, season ticket holder for 28 years so ive been through the mixer like most of you but we are were we are and what im seeing is a joke with these players and hopefully Pep has seen it. Pelle should be let go and whoever takes the reigns and ensures he gets the players playing for the last 8 or so games.

I agree with what you say Goatistuta, but I can’t see it happening : theres never been a team to my knowledge that has signed more than 5 players to impact the first team in one go and went on to any notable immediate success. PSG bought 13 players during their takeover and didnt even win Ligue 1 that season, nor did Monaco after signing 16 first team squad players the following year. Its the same as with Bony, of course I truly hope we can shift him, but if we do, that leaves us with one senior striker at the Club and I think we all agree that we need 4 top strikers in order to challenge, including Kelechi, we then would need to buy 2 top class strikers, but how can you do that when we generally only play one up front? one or both of them will likely be joining as backup, and so how do you sign good enough players in that case?

Good points mate re the striker side. I used to think 451 was the way forward but Leicester have destroyed that this year with 442 so is 4411 or 424 the next way forward? Who knows all I do know is Sergio and Kel plus at least 1 more absolute class act not a joke, donkey who doesnt have 1 single attribute that he can use and the team can work to.

Re the team, I honestly totally get it that mass change could be an issue but if you look at PSG and Monaco they both didnt have an original nucleus that was class, we do so it could work. There is a skeleton here that wont change, Hart, Sagna, Clichy, Ottemendi, Vinney, Fernandinho, Silva, Delph, Super Kev, Sterling, Aguero and Kel the rest should be gone. Kolarov and Zabs out and 2 young quality lads in to work with Clichy and Sagna. Demechelis out and a worldy in with Denyer back. Fernando, Nasri and Navas out with 2 class wingers and a worldy for central mid, hopefully 2 if Yaya goes also, thats with keeping Silva. So thats 8 changes if they all go, thats very very doable mate.

I totally agree with goatistuta maybe keep zabba instead of Sagna but it´s not that importent in who we keep of those two whats important is who we bring in.
but i Think you are very spoton in your analysis in what we need.

    GK: Hart
LW: Jose Gaya (from Valencia) and keep Clichy
CB Kompany,Ottemendi,Denayer,Stones (From Everton) Laporte (from Atleticco Madrid)
    and Adarabioyo (from EDS)
RW: Bellerin (from Arsenal) and Keep Sagna or Zabba
CM: Silva, Fernandhinio, Delph, KDB, Zuculini, Pogba (From Juve) and James Ward Prowse (from Southampton) or if it´s possible Delle Alli (from Spurs) Isco (from Real Madrid)
Strikers: Aguero, Sterling, Kel, Lewandowski (from Bayern)

Read somewere that Guardiola have used 9 different fomations this year in Bayern so he is going to need a lot of players and he probobly wont be Abel to sign that meny so think we can se EDS players in the first team next year and we sure is going to se some roatation between formards and midfielders in the starting line up i wouldent be surprised if we are going to se Aguero in the shadow striker role part and Sterling and KDB next to him so Lewandowski or Cavani would be Yummy to have at the topp.

Really like the idea of a back 3 especially when at home and teams defend deep with a lone striker
