that was a comfortable win,but why oh why does it take
us the first goal to wake up.swans were the better team
and although they didn’t create anything,it still bugs
me why we start so lethargic and slow.

we have scored more goals than any other away team,so it
must make you wonder why we aint doing a lot better points
wise.i hope leichester can take points of chelski, but we
need to step it up now and be at it from the start.a couple
of own goals but i don’t care because second half we were
so dominantwatching the game i still feel 100% that wenger
or ant top manager can get more out of this team.the ability
    is there,no question.

Truth be told, we do not have a team that is capable of winning the league.

As far as I am concern, we were horrible but lucky today.

Steve, it felt easy by the end mate but can’t help feeling it could have gone very differently without those two own goals. It was only once we were 3-0 up that we even looked comfortable – against a team that will almost certainly go down.

What worries me is that even when we get a decent scoreline, we rarely look convincing.

Al.morning.i always felt we would win the game pretty
comfortably, and had gears to go up if needed.the swans
are of course a very poor team and i can see them going
down, although,i hope they don’t because they have done
    very well.

the problem i see with us is we start so slow and if
we do that against chelski in a couple of weeks, then
we aint coming back.really hope we can go up a level
or two because we are going to need too,but i always
felt we could have scored more yesterday if push
came to shove.now we need to do that in the very big
games if we are to get back in this title race.

Steve, I wish I could share your sentiments about going up gears. Too many games recently would support your statement but also go against it. We have looked comfortable in so many games recently only to allow the team back in, score and then we have either lost or drawn!!
fortunately we are entering the part of season now where results typically pick up for us, we go on a run and everyone ‘believes’ again. Last season at this point saw us become the form team for the 2016 (pretty sure that’s correct) last 17 or so games we were awesome!!

I couldn’t watch the game against them, but it is so frustrating to hear that this is yet another game where we’ve failed to dominate giving a performance that has not been in line with the result.

I say again and again, judge the team on the performances. And it is ever so worrying to see us not perform well.I genuinely worry for this club, the other clubs are becoming so much more better(in terms of performances especially) that it is only a matter of time before we’re truly found out.

hulk.i thought that was the most comfortable we have looked
for a while, but totally except we were playing against a poor
team with 0 confidence.every time we attacked second half i
thought we would score or create good chances to score.

the truth is we still start so poor in games and my fear is
we could be out of the chelski game come 30min if we don’t
shape up from the start.i still think the team that hits form
come feb/march will win the title, and we must go up a level
or two and hope chelski lose a few.let’s hope we can make a
fight for the title and close the gap.

At this point and with how tight the race is for top four/title its all about the results. We did not play great and still won 4 – 0 I will take that every week! Swansea or us wont be poor every week. Not a great performance and 4 – 0 is a great week !

Stev2 – on the face of it, you’re right. If we play poorly and still win 4-0, that’s a good result.

Problem is that we haven’t been convincing for months now and, as happened at City, Everton and Birmingham, we get found out and end up getting the result we deserve, not the one we want.
