Dr ian. To me today was more than just the result. It was a display of inept lack of direction, tactics and a blind faith in a crap goalkeeper.
In years gone by I would always support a good employee going through a bad patch if I felt he/she would come through it. However on few instances this did not happen and you sadly have to remove the employee.
    Bravo – he must go
Pep – end of season review. Not impressed so far.

For goodness sake City….go and get a LEADER at the back and buy a new defence…..have seen lower league defending better than ours, or I should say absent defenders….but this is the plan and it needs to change. To day we lost any hope of the title, you can expect one/two teams to drop points but not them all and City will certainly drop more points. pep has to do better than this Spurs Chelsea leicester now Everton all show how easy we are. I want Augerro in the middle and he needs Silva KDB Yaya to feed him We do not want Sterling keilichi clogging the middle I do not mind be patient Pep but we are going backwards

What was that substitution all about – Iheanacho in the middle but deeper? Dear me!!!! His touch isn’t good enough to play there.
The obvious one was Sane, on the left, Sterling on the right and KDB in the middle (his best position). We shouldn’t be relying on ageing full backs to give us the width required – the middle was far too congested and we needed to stretch then across the pitch.

I hope people don’t get on stones back. I’ve said it before the lad is class. Rolls Royce of a footballer and would get into barcas team no problem.

His problem is the fact he is actually surrounded by shite which isn’t helping him

For me i have to say that i´m begging to have serious concernes about Silva and Aguero
i Think Silva is starting to get to old and Slow both in his feet and in his mind it hurts to say but i don´t think he is right player for us to be in the middle and be the magician i used to be. De Bruyne should be in the middle and where do that leaves Silva? maybe try and use De bruyne besides Fernandhinio when he comes back.
Aguero got zero coanfidence he does hardly makes runs anymore what has happend?

we do have the players to score goals why not play Sterling and Sane on the sides we got speed and flair in those two
    Aguero
    Sane-Silva/De Bruyne-Sterling
    De Bruyne/Gundogan-Fernandhinio/Yaya
thats should score us goals but sadley it does not.
the confidenc is so gone we desperatley need our captain back.
And add som speed inte defence for god sake we need fullbacks if we dont reinforce in this window we surley is missing champions League next year

And i have not even mentioned the keeper but maybe with a new keeper we get a hole new team. A defensive line who knows that if we do let a shot passed us it´s a goal can not defend has they are used to they are running scared as H..l knowing one shot is all they need

Well i´m just Writing all the shit that i´m thinking trying to calm my self down and try to understand and get som reason why we played that bad, so bad i can´t even find one positive thing that happend in this game not one, not even a player that played nearly as good as they can.
i have not saw City for a couple of games and i was so looking forward to finally get the time and finally the showes us on the tv hopping to se the debute on Gabriel Jesus also but boy i wish i did not see this game

Before a ball was kicked I said we desperately needed to remove Kokarov snd Zabs snd bring in 2 lightning quick full backs. What happened, nothing, Sagna n Clichy backing up 2 class young kids but ones who are QUICK!!! I also said Fernando, Yaya, Boney, Navas, Nasri and Willy needed to go immediately.

I don’t see any change in what I said, especially the full backs. There has been 2 other killes for us, 1st Vinney injured over and over again, that’s bad luck. The second, Hart replaced by a, erm, eek, err, well, sorry about this but kin donkey!!! That’s nothing but bad BAD management. Leicester and Everton had 8 shots in the entire games, they scored 8 times!!! Just how is that acceptable? Just how does he sit there happy that he got rid of one of the best shot stoppers I’ve ever seen and one that helps communicate and organise the back 4 and replaced him with a lettuce. What Spurs will do to us doesn’t bear thinking about.

oh snd last point, PLAY KDB STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE, ITS NOT DIFFICULT TO SEE THATS WHERE HE DOES HIS BEST WORK FFS.

You guys are free to have your doubts about Guardiola that’s fine but I’d urge caution about getting carried away, as we have the chance to create a legacy with a long term approach for once.

If we had some more athleticism in the team it would have been different today. The fullbacks aren’t good enough and the centre of midfield is too old and slow without Ferna

Kdb and Silva are like Gerrard and Lampard atm, can’t play together unless Silva goes to 6 instead of Yaya, alongside Ferna when back. We’re trying to fit out best players in, when a clear structure: 2 wide, KDB 10, would mean players know where they should be, we’re imbalanced atm.

Kelechi needs a break from the first team squad, like Rodgers did for Sterling at Liverpool at one point.

Otamendi is pathetic throwing himself down in front of Lukaku, I don’t want to see that at our Club

Main difference that Pep is struggling to adapt to for me are: no utility players of high ability and referees letting other teams kick us off the park, he’s used to favourable refs protecting his players at Barca and Bayern

Not having it personally, would rather not scapegoat. The shots Bravo faces are when players have waltzed through our midfield and defence, other keepers will face more speculative shots

Spurs need to know they only have to shoot at the goal to score, the rest of the time they can sunbathe in own half because we have no punch. It also helps if you play without a goalkeeper!!!!! We will be very very lucky to qualify for CL next season on the basis of what we are seeing. The same plan, the same selection, the same tactics, the same result. The reason I say this I cannot see ANYTHING changing to reverse our backward steps….we need players in this week. I bet the Brazilian lad wishes he was home now if he watched that non performance. It is no good saying we had possession, lots of chances but it is the failures that matter…no end product i.e. goals and a defence even the ordinary fan could work out how to score against City. The whole defence just freewheels leaving desserts behind them, now, if our coaches cannot see that, we have the wrong ones. If the argument is we need better players, then, for now, at least, we must be more compact What about the goalkeeping coaches…what on earth are they doing?

I said at the beginning of the season that if you’re going to replace an international keeper, you have to make sure that the goalie coming in is at least as good as, if not better, or the decision will come back to haunt you. Needless to say, that time has long come and gone but it seems that Pep still fails to recognise the folly of his ways.
The second point to make from the School of the Blindingly Obvious is that, in the EPL at least, teams playing possession-focused attacking football (particularly ones with what can only be described as ‘non-defence’) are there for the (easy) taking – Everton are merely the latest in a string of teams that have shown that defensive, savvy counter- attacking football wins the day; it’s not like their managers all had a ‘Eureka’ moment to rival Einstein – all they have to do is look at any of City’s previous matches against reasonable opposition to see that City play Plan A and they’re easily beaten with Plan B. Pep has got to wise up quickly and, in the short-term at least, play as the opposition plays – City need to shore up, concede more possession and hit teams on the break – if we don’t, we continue getting thrashed by teams who only have 30% possession and 4 shots all game

Keeping possession is valid and does work provided you have somebody other than just one player to put the ball in the net. Aguero is playing too wide and is overloaded.
Barca and Bayern have players to put the ball in when, as usual, they dominate the opposition.
I also agree cityboy that Pep was watching a different game from me. Perhaps he sees us with the ball the majority of the time and that is what they train to do.
My theory is that in training we probably do score goals but then it is our attack against our defence.
There is a good article in the Times by Henry Winter, the jist of which is that many of our problems are as a result of getting rid of Hart. I know that isnt news but the analysis is sound. Only one person doesnt see it.

Whoever said a weeks a long time in politics, west ham crushed then its our turn. The system does need tweaking, but really its the players who are past it. Sure there’s the odd performance two out of three, but that’s not consistent enough I’m afraid.
I just hope pep already realises this, hence his discussion with senior management.
The keeper hasn’t worked and although stats might defend his on saves ratio. I only see bread and butter stops, no great saves and no blocks. And importantly he has no presence whatsoever!
The club needed to recycle most of the squad two seasons ago and I include everyone, that didn’t happen and now we are where we are.
This will result in a disorderly fire sale in the summer, similar to Stratford. It might work and hopefully pep will see out his contract and not do a Coppell?
