    JC, you had to go back to February for your idiotic “mic drop” moment but I need only refer to this actual thread. . .

    You should consider unplugging it 😉

    Folks, for what it’s worth, I think the bigger picture is possibly being missed here. My own analysis, for what it’s worth is that FSG plan on getting out soon. I posted this a few times (not that my opinion necessarily counts) but I’m fairly certain that they’ll be gone in 18 months.

    Personally, I believe that they’ve done a great holding job with the club but that’s all it ever was going to be. They’ve run the club like a good accountant would do, minimum risk in investing in players and the stadium. They’re not going to throw a fortune at developing the club. Everything is invested for optics, not to turn us back into the greatest club in the world but to turn us into a club that they can sell so that they can maximise profits and to me, that’s just business.

    They’ve hit the jackpot with Klopp, or at least it seems, so the on-the-field results now match the off-the-field ones. We’re now one of the most saleable clubs in the world and they can walk away with a fortune and that’s their prerogative as they have developed in plenty of areas and have done a good job,

    My guess is that we’ll be sold by next Summer and everything else will be done to a minimum in terms of expenditure. They’ve brought the club to the point where going any further will involve spending big with little return… now is the time to sell… they’re investors, not football people.

    They won’t develop the grounds any further….. as they don’t need to… their work at Anfield is almost complete!

    Sad state of affairs really when a subject like this is in full throttle given the much more important issues in my book as to why young players and the academy of players don’t break into the first team for many a year;

    The ‘seat’ I’ve resigned to; even though if I was to be a member; there’s no way I’m going to get any tickets and that’s my resentment;

    Sky and BT Sport equally are fleecing the fans; so I’m glad for anybody being able to pick up a live stream and enjoy it.

    I have nothing against FSG. They saved us from the brink of administration. Given how they’ve run the club since they came in I don’t think anyone can complain. Net spend or whatever aside we’ve forked out huge sums of money for players every summer. The stadium has been expanded significantly. We have a proven manager and a proper philosophy with regards to players and football. On the pitch we’ve won a league cup, reached 3 other finals and almost won the league. Right now we’re widely regarded as the most exciting team to watch. Sure, a lot of their strategies haven’t worked like a director of football or a transfer committee but at least they’re taking action to move the club in the right direction and they have done. The whole idea for increasing stadium capacity is to increase revenue. It makes no financial sense to invest in a project that will take the next decade or more to reap the benefits.

    We’ll always have twats like JC to drag up post from ages ago when context was very different but on the overall (as I’ve said before – I cant wait for JC to post all these comments btw) that FSG have been great owners. They really did steady our ship and set us back on course.

    I do wonder if their project was set to end and that maybe Klopp might make them take another look at their numbers. What he has done so far in our early season, is show the world that you dont need to be the biggest spenders to get success and also that you can play intense and attractive football at the same time. Its a double win.

    Klopp hasnt won a single thing in England, yet I don’t even need to look at figures to know that he’s at least the 2nd most admired manager in this league right now.

    FSG have really pissed me off regards ticket prices 2 times now but besides that, they have in one way or the other led us to Klopp. They had the sense to bring him on , so if they were to leave us tomorrow, I’d always be thankful of that. . on top of the H&G corrections.

    All that said, I do wish they took the temperature of the fans a little better. JC aside, he can flex his arm and get into any seat. .

    Ginger had a go at me for a small mistake I made concerning the positioning of Gerrard, well JC has been exposing his blunders can’t say I feel sorry for him.

    Pax and Sands pointed out a coupla things which I freely admitted too.
    JC has done nothing but be an ignoramus who created fabrications and lies.

    Gerrard hasn’t played for us for over 2 seasons now. I’m not sure what the context of our interaction was, perhaps I was correcting a mistake much like Pax and Sands did with me, but clearly you feel hurt so I apologise.
