oracle – I guess I can include you in the list of nomad’s as well.So this is what you’re famous for doing, you put words into people’s mouth somehow invent what they said and then you go scout on different threads and try to insult the poster.

And for some reason or the other you seem to think that this squad is so poor and wenger is the worst manager in the world. Why don’t we wait and see what happens once we get a different manager under this same board. You’ll be shut out like always, fool.I have to keep playing the waiting game with you guys, and the funniest part is you still don’t realize after that even if you understand you ignore it.

The Stupid One. Have you ever wondered why no one takes you seriously. It’s quite simple, your posts are nonsensical gibberish that contradict themselves throughout, you know nothing about football, in fact you know nothing about anything. In summary YOURE JUST THICK. I know it’s half term and you don’t have any mates to play with and your homework is too difficult for you but just run along will you and give it a try but most importantly of all STOP POSTING YOUR BRAINLESS NONSENSE YOU CLOT, no one cares what you think due to the fact that thought seems beyond you.

guys seriously! wind your necks in, dont start back down that road, differing opinions does not mean one side is thick or knows nothing just state your own cases, disagree with others and leave the other bullshit out

Shut up you thug,It’s you who knows nothing about football you absolute cretin. The only thing you know is blame wenger for each and every single thing.Next you know you’ll blame even global warming on wenger. You’re so ignorant, and you can’t take the fact no one can have a differing opinion. You’re a stupid loser, who certainly dosen’t have common sense.
You love to invent sentences and say this is what he said blah blah, that’s what you do to win an argument you embarrassing cactus. If you were twice as smart you’d still be stupid.

steveo – I think you should tell that to that patronizing fool, who thinks he’s above everyone else on here. And only his opinions matter, and that they’re right no matter what.
    Ban that idiot.

steveosnakeseye, even on this thread alone it has been ruined by nothing but insults to Al, Jeff, me and just about everyone who has posted. Couple that with the fact the thread has been ruined by his uniformed drivel the Arsenal page is being destroyed by incoherent badly written tosh. Most on here have tried to ignore TSO but as with that fool not too long ago we can’t all be wrong. It’s hardly surprising no one bothers with this site anymore.

i see both sides and points and thats why i say you BOTH need to wind your necks in, its like a playground, he said this and he said that cry me a fecking river….the most annoying thing about this rubbish is both of you have good points to make and think and truly believe in what you say and credit to you both, just dont see why posters need to result to name calling and saying people know nothing etc

we all know MUCH we ALL love our club and we ALL want whats best and are unhappy we should be united for the most part, disagree and argue points and leave it there, come on lads its not hard

i want sanchez to stay but another part says whats the point under AW? doesnt matter if we sign messi it WONT be enough, AW will play him in the wrong position and system and still not have a defense worth shit.

we have more chance of a new manager than a new manager AND OWNER. i think we need both but will settle for a new manager IF that manager is of high standards. fresh blood and thoughts given to the board may be enough to help change there attitude, if not, not much we can do other than protest and we are so bad at that as a club we may as well sit quietly in the library and watch and not get bothered

Steveo, we often hear the old “careful what you wish for” line about getting rid of Wenger and we all know that’s b*****ks, because we know exactly what we’re wishing for. However, when it comes to the board, I would be a bit more cautious.

My one and only gripe with Kroenke and Co is their failure to get rid of the manager. What I like and always have liked about Kroenke is that he let’s the manager get on with it. Our problem is who that manager is but with the right man, that’s exactly how I’d want Stan to act.

The main job of the board, of any club, is to run the business side and we can’t argue that our board are doing badly on that front. That, in turn, provides cash the manager needs to compete, which, in our case, is where it all falls down, because we have a manager who is reluctant to spend and when he does, it’s far too often on players we either don’t need or he just doesn’t know how to fit into his system.

The reason I would urge caution, as far as the board goes, is that there are very few fans, from any club (at least in the top two tiers) who will sing the praises of their boards. City maybe – an ambitious owner, with unlimited funds, who does seem to strike the right balance between letting the manager get on with it, but only for as long as he’s doing a good job and while the way Pellegrini was treated was a bit shameful, it was in order to get Pep and you can’t knock that ambition.

Chelski fans will obviously always love Roman, because he’s turned them from a sh*t club with no history into an above average club (with no history), but my Chav mates have had their issues with him in the past, despite all that.

I know, to many Gooners, that Usmanov seems like the perfect owner – our very own Abramovic – but I’ve always been a bit wary about the guy. There’s something very untrustworthy about him and I can’t help feeling that we’d ultimately regret it if he took over.

But there are a lot of examples of new management taking over even some of the biggest clubs, with loads of fanfare, before it all goes pear-shaped very quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, our current board need to stop sitting in their comfort zone with Wenger, but all I want to see from them is to get rid of him and show some ambition with the replacement. After that, I’d be happy to see them crawl back to the shadows because that’s how the people running football clubs should be – a side story and not the main show.

Al, you sum it up perfectly. The Arsenal BofD whether it’s due to fear, lack of knowledge (quite likely), apathy (unlikely) or just laziness have handed over total autonomy to Wenger. We are long past the stage where they can wrestle it back, it’s a case of letting him get on with it, sacking him and having to start again, or allowing him to leave when he chooses and starting again. Some Arsenal fans want Wenger to stay, the majority want him to leave. He isn’t going to be sacked so it’s a question of him going at the end of the season or alternatively staying for another 2-3 years. The less cerebral amongst us and we all know who he is thinks you can snap your fingers and the BofD will disappear overnight when the rest of us realise they can stay as long as they like and there is nothing anyone can do. Fans can boycott games which is the equivalent of losing money unless you know of others who will buy your seat, give up season tickets, you will never get another one, but what difference will that make. There are people who seat around me in Club Level who don’t know the players names. We have probably got to the stage where only Wenger understands the workings of the club, they say information is power and I doubt there is another person at the club understands how it all works and runs to the extent he does and he won’t share that information. The BofD have really only committed 2 sins, they haven’t sacked him already and they have allowed him too much power but they have certainly given him money and a free hand, the more money he has spent the poorer the team has become. Wenger is the problem and he has to go, there is nothing that can be done about the BofD. As for Usmanov he may or may not pump more money into the club but if he had some control I’m far from sure it would be a good thing.

steveO – I think the biggest problem and something that what most fail to actually understand and accept is the lack of ambition shown by the board. How can some numpties on here keep on blaming wenger, and saying so simply “the only thing the bofd are guilty of is not sacking manager”.They make it sound so simple, but in reality that’s the biggest problem at the club.

I’m repeating myself for the umpteenth time, the fact that this board have tabled him a 2 year extension(After years of failure to win trophies, the major ones atleast) proves that the board has set the target for merely achieving a top four spot, and that wenger has been achieving it.We simply have to presume that.As common sense prevails, that’s the only reason he’s still kept his job.Otherwise and again as common sense prevails shouldn’t he have been sacked a long time.

The board is the one to point the finger at, for setting the bar so low.And for all we know they will do for the next manager in line as well.
And again, as that numpty who thinks he’s above everyone else in opinion and only whatever he says is correct as apparently is making false claims about me(it dosen’t take a genius to realize he was referring to me) that I said “the board will disappear overnight”,when I specifically said that “the board won’t disappear overnight”,which is yet another proof of him inventing words and putting it into people’s mouths(which is all he does).

I realize it will take time but this board has to be forced out. There’s no guarantee it will happen and I never said it would definitely happen but we as fans have to take up that responsibility.

the point is we as fans wont even if we could which we couldn’t….their lack f ambition sucks, taking us to the next level but not finishing the job. Once you have a decent team/squad/stadium and some money in the bank it should be no harder for us than Chelsea to change managers and KEEP/GAIN success. the board SHOULD not be offering a new contract they SHOULD see our manager as sackable and have the balls to do this, but AW has done what THEY want how THEY want from austerity to prices and wages paid….BOTH parties are to blame but with the boards failure it is still down to AW to pick the team and new players and he has done shit at this for a while now….so as I said both of you are correct
