For the £52 million, i had been expecting precision finishing. All i hear is devastating laugh all the way from Lyon. Le monsieur professor understands how to pay a flop.

Bit harsh mate ffs give the lad some time. In the current market it’s no surprise we paid that much. Least give him a season not the community shield
Jesus do we have the worse “fans”??

Of course ill comment again when the season ends. On the worse “fans”, lets thanks monsieur le professor. He had the chance to reinforce the defending positions during the summer. But the transfer time for him exist during 1 july and ends at the first preseason friendlies. The others who he enlisted is because he was under pressure to make some action. Last season it was Perez. He also is responsible for dividing the supporters into two. 1 for him and 2 for not him.

On the bright side. This is our first trophy in Tottenham home stadium.

I would’ve preferred someone else than lacazette, but if he shows a bit more desire and aggression he could prove to be a top striker for us.

I’m not saying he is the best in the world or we shouldn’t be getting more in but your statement after one game where most of our attacking creating players were missing is more than harsh it’s dumb. Yes wenger has screwed us but we are stuck now so get behind our new men and give them a chance.

Wasn’t enthused about him, to be honest. But I have a feeling that’s more to do with value for money than anything else. Maybe I have to get up to speed with the craze of valuations in the current market! I still wonder why we didn’t get it done last season, if we wanted him so much, for what would’ve been less money AND it would’ve saved the issue with Lucas Perez! What if Atletico had been able to tie it up?

At the very least, though, let’s at least give Laca until after the season starts, eh? He will work hard, and I imagine our “natural” game plays more to his strengths than, say, Giroud’s. That’s something that fans will hopefully appreciate, in addition to his touch in front of goal. Plus, Atletico knows a thing or two about strikers!

But I have to say, I still look at Danny and shake my head sometimes – take away the indecision and profligacy in the final third, and he has pretty much every other ingredients to be a top striker!

15 matches left to go. Lacazette is just overpriced mercenary passenger. Alongside with Xhaka they are just a waste of potential players who are eager to play for arsenals first team.
Is there some how to find a solution for those players? I mean could we salvage anything from this mess, eventually sell those 2 players.
I had enough with the clown to wenger with his stupid tactics. How many times we were counter attacking and just in the final 3rd the players just have to deliver it backwards? Im would be glad if we ever end up outside top ten this season.

Oh yeah i still hear the thunderous laughter from lyon for £52m

    Indeed Muffler, indeed.

If Sanchez denies to move to some club this window and just walk away for free in summer. It will be the icing of the cake.

Near end of the season. I still think it was £52 million too much for that guy. Do we have the receipt somewhere?

The above pretty much sums up most of our fans. Quick to jump on players backs. not everyone is a ready made superstar we are quick to point out the rare players that hit the ground running but forget players that other clubs have bought for more and have been performing to a lesser extent add the fact how poor the team are playing as a whole we feel the need to lambast players at the first opportunity. lacazette although not everyone’s cup of tea is a proven goal scorer and given a run in the team will guarantee goals his only problem is that we have auba who is prob first choice but what a problem to have as the new arsenal manager shame we don’t have that luxury in other positions elsewhere.

Not to say he isn’t a good striker, but he’s far from lived upto his price tag.I said that at the start of the season, and will say it again he’s not good enough to lead a title challenging team.Infact,my prediction on his season has been absolutely spot on.I said he’s a good striker, and he’d score a few goals here and there which he has.But in terms of really stepping up when it matters, not seen much of that if any.
He’s scored goals here and there, many unimportant ones. Most big games,he’s failed to step up.I think signing auba says a lot about the club’s decision to sign laca. And I’m all for having maximum amount of quality players in each position but i’d rather have had giroud and laca.I knew it,that if we signed both auba and laca,Giroud would leave and that’s clearly turning out to be a piss poor decision.
And as for people who live in this fantasy world that laca and auba can play together, they can’t,aren’t and they won’t.They both are typical centre forwards.

I don’t hate laca, not at all.Just giving out my honest opinion. There’s still hope for him,and he has to has to really perform in the only saving grace, the europa league even if it means single handedly. If he plays well and we win,it will be an acceptable season from him.

I think we need to have a new way of playing in the last third. These two strikers are of a different mind set. Not tappy, tappy in and around the box. Use them to their strengths.
The present set up, is wrong for them.
As in defense. Yesterday, it could be seen West Ham had a game plan and it nearly worked. I have heard the phrase, “No spine, really evident yesterday”. Long ball through centre exposing both centre backs.
The new manager will have to change the way we are set up, as well as players mindset. We are predictable and cannot adapt. Easily unlocked, both tactically and mentally.

However, pleased with win and prospect of a new dawn for Arsenal.

    Gooner for life.

Laca’s got 13 goals in 30 games, in his first season in a top league, in a team that’s been absolutely shit. It’s not great but it certainly compares to any of Giroud’s seasons. If he gets a similar return next season, that’ll be the time to start getting on his back, but give the guy a chance.

That said, a lot will depend on whether the new guy sees a place for both him and Auba.

Al, I agree. Let’s also remember that Wenger at one point tried to demolish his confidence when he dropped him in big games. I’m actually excited at the prospect of Laca and Auba having a full season together under another manager! It is so refreshing to see what may happen! Jury is out for me on Laca until end of next season but I believe there is promise there.

I tell you what, laca giving bellerin a beating(sort of) in training is one of the best things he’s done at the club this season.Headlines read “lacazette and bellerin square up in training”,but from the images it seems bellerin shit his pants and is trying to move away from laca.
This guy bellerin,I don’t think any player could become so immature or so unfocused.A year ago I said he was the best right back in the world, forgive me for saying that. He’s just a soft player overall and dosen’t have the right mentality to suceed.Talent,yes.But he’s become so unfocused, spends most of his time on social media modelling or posting immature images of himself. He needs a real beating to toughen him up.

On laca,I actually think he can be a real success under a different manager.Someone needs to make him more hungry for goals and more serious and we can have a player on our hands.
