From the eerie silence on this forum is this the end for Palace in the Premier League? I am afraid if we can’t beat Middlesborough next week we need to sack Sam and bring Tony Popovic over from Western Sydney and start again. Hopefully we would have learnt our lessons, then again I doubt it as once we hit the dizzy heights delusions of grandeur takes over.

Enough of that! You have been the only one positive! Nobody is writing cos. there is nothing to write about, besides Jabbs is probably off on a cruise somewhere the cold gets to his old bones and the rest of the lads are having a nice weekend without being ruined by results. The next match will tell, if Sam is going to turn it around it will be then. Middlesborough are hard to penetrate but do not score. Hard but possible. How is Popovic doing over there?

Well I for one will be enjoying watching Soccer Saturday for once without hiding when I hear Jeff shouting out “There’s been a goal at Selhurst Park” and thinking Oh God please just for once be us that’s scored!! Lol

If the worst happens and we lose against Boro I cannot see Sam being sacked as we can still mathematicaly survive.

I for one would love to see T Popovic as manager. I watched a piece on him last week on Sky Sports and it was obvious he still has love for Palace and said he would never rule out a return

As for results with the Sydney club I’m not sure, I’ll leave Perth to answer that one!

Thanks Punch, I am trying to stay positive but struggling at the moment. As I have posted regularly everyone knows I believe we can win every game on our day but our day has failed to materialised this season, yes while we are only a win away from safety that win is still coming. Sam is struggling and although the team at times puts in a good shift they need strong leadership. Hence Popovic as a good strong leader, well unfortunately this year has not been the best for him as his team sits 6th but the past couple of years his team Western Sydney Wanderers have been a major force in the competition under his astute guidance.
