Who should we buy in January? Who is avaiable?
I am pretty sure the majority in here wants incoming players in January.
Or do you want to wait for the right players in the summer?

Reading that Griezman may be avaiable in January and Traore is a good right winger.
    What do you think?

I don’t think we’ll be signing a right winger in January as we’ve lined up Soler from Valencia to come next summer. That’s his position, right? If he looks to fill any role it would have to be left back for me but I couldn’t pick out anyone who looks remotely available as a long term solution and the last thing this squad needs is an expensive stop gap.

I don’t like the idea of January transfers unless it’s

1] Player that unexpectedly becomes available ie an opportunity we can’t miss
2] A target we wanted last summer or eyes on for next summer.

IF we get offers for players who are hard to sell then I’d welcome offloading them asap. JM said end of last summer words to the effect that when other clubs are buying in January he wouldn’t be.

    I don’t expect any movement.

In January we should lay the foundations for our Summer transfer window – go all out to sign Sanchez on a free, try to sign Ozil on a free too. Identify our left back and right winger that we want to sign and ensure that they’re well scouted and that we know how much to pay in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Next summer we desperately need a left back, right winger and probably also a right back so if we can get those players on average of 50m each and then get Ozil and/or Sanchez on a free then we’re good to go.

Stay away from Ozil by all means, what a lazy twat, can`t be bothered in most games.Griezmann will surely not move in January, but there are always gems to be unearthed, have been linked with Soler of Valencia and SMS of Lacio, both midfielders.Hope a defender/wing backs coming in and @ least couple of departures.i.e.Shaw and Darmian!!.

I keep reading that both Draxler and L.Moura are available this January!.J.Draxler would be an amazing addition to most clubs, and especially ours imho.

I don’t think January will see much movement. Neither Mourinho nor Manchester United are known for January transfers. As MacGuffin has mentioned, the only reason for a January transfer is if an exceptional player becomes unexpectedly available (including free transfers) or a long term target becomes available.

In any case, for me I think the return of Zlatan, Rojo, and Pogba in and around the December/January period will definitely have a similar effect to new signings.

Squad building should be done in the summer. For me that means two top class fullbacks and a worldclass midfielder to replace the position currently shared by Herrera and Fellaini. Shaw, Darmian, Young, and Valencia need to be shipped out.

H.Herrera and D.Perera of Porto seem to be available, keep getting linked with L.Dendoncker of Anderlecht again!.We have to be active in January, even it means just moving players on.i.e.Shaw,Darmian, etc.B.Traore is another player we are being linked with.

I don’t think we’ll buy unless an exceptional player should come available, Meunier at PSG might decide to throw his toys out of his pram but I can’t see it happening tbhm I don’t really know how good he actually is either, a relatively young supposedly gifted 26 year old player like him shouldn’t be displaced by Dani Alves who is 34 now and whose powers should definitely be on the wane.
I’d expect that one or two players might go but the ones we, as fans, want gone are generally playing because we don’t have cover in those positions. Unless Rojo comes storming back or Shaw plays himself into place I can’t see Darmian going. Blind is too useful due to his versatility. I could see Carrick leaving as even with Fellaini and Pogba out he didn’t see any game time.

Draxler would be a good shout for me but have a feeling he’s headed to the Arse!

I’d take Evra back as a five month stopgap in a heartbeat. Should have done that last January in my opinion. Be a novelty to have an actual left back in the side.

Evra would be half decent as a player coach to teach Shaw how to defend properly

Benefit of signing players in Jan is that they are usually up and running come the start of the new season.

Given Mourinho’s recent comments on Shaw needing a run of games which he’s not likely to get at United I think he needs to be sent out on loan asap. A club like Swansea where he’ll get regular PL football would be good. Even if Mourinho doesn’t want him anymore it should at least put him in the shop window. If we are replacing him I can’t look beyond Tierney at Celtic. Young, British, a natural left back who can defend and put a cross in. One of their youngest ever captains and doesn’t look out of place when playing in the CL.

Also, will never happen but sell one of Smalling/Jones and give Rojo a run of games alongside Bailly when he returns from injury.

homerjay-Forget Bale mate,he is so injury-prone he makes D.Anderton injury-record look non-existent.Very worried about reports that Jose wants Mata,Herrera,Fellaini,Blind,And Young signing new contracts!

Don’t worry about those contract extensions redblood, that is just the club protecting their assets. Instead of any of them leaving on a free at the end of the season, now we will get a transfer fee for any of them Mourinho decides to sell

I see Real are “prostituting” Bale around Europe, hope to Almighty God we stay well clear of him just like we did from James!.In fact, apart from Kroos,Isco, and Asensio, stay away from Real players period.Either too old-Marcelo,Ramos,Modric,CR7,Benzema,or made of glass-Varane and Bale.
