Naby keita will be our player in 6 months time whatever happens. I rather we put that extra 12m-15m we’re suppose to pay leipzig to get keita in january on someone else like sanchez mahrez etc.
January 14, 2018 at 8:16 am #1583067Reds it would have to be both for me. Our midfield is very inconsistent and to pay up to another £10 mill now to get him in makes complete sense. That being said yes we still need a replacement / addition after losing Couthino.
January 14, 2018 at 9:40 am #1583093I can’t believe that no one is looking towards Jamie Vardy. He scores goals in the box as well as from breaks. And Leicester played a high tempo game when they won the league so he’d be used to that. Maybe he’s the mystery man.
January 14, 2018 at 10:42 am #1583117As expected Lamar price of £90m is way too high.
Liverpool apparently value Lemar at £60m, and if they can’t get him for that price, will look at alternatives such as Pulisic. Also still trying to convince Goretzka to join us instead of Bayern
January 15, 2018 at 1:47 pm #1583731The Gelson Martins rumour mill in overdrive. Is he the type of player we need? Looks very similar to what we have and I would much rather we spent the kind of money being quoted on a world class keeper.
January 16, 2018 at 2:36 am #1584040I will be very very disappointed if we dont sign anyone else this window. We’ve just beaten the best team in the league, we sold one of our best players. We still in the CL and the fa cup. Its time to push on get 1 more quality player.
January 16, 2018 at 9:44 am #1584147January 17, 2018 at 1:05 pm #1584710Well it looks like we miss out on goretzka. Disappointing news.
January 17, 2018 at 2:36 pm #1584763Marko Grujic to Cardiff for the rest of the season, let’s hope the lad does well and comes back ready for the first team as I rate him quite highly, has the physical attributes to be a very good LFC player in the future….time to prove it Marko.
January 17, 2018 at 4:50 pm #1584821People can keep dreaming and fantasizing but nothing will happen regards transfers IN, FSG have scammed us yet again in a window! Might as well open up a summer window debate and hope that more players aren’t sold. We are being raped and pillaged and many fans sadly are cheering on the owners, making excuses for them etc, very sad. Believe me Klopp is very angry but happy to take his pay until a better offer comes along, now fulfilling the bullshit role of Ian Ayre. Letting Couts go before the summer window was crazy and will cost us massively but the yanks don’t care, more money for Red Sox transfers and the fans have past glories to remember
January 17, 2018 at 5:03 pm #1584823Go and support another club then if FSG piss you off that much. Nobody will miss you.
January 18, 2018 at 2:16 am #1584961Should studge go? Apparently inter want him. I feel a loan move is good for him BUT what about Firmino and the need to rest occasionally, is Solanke and Ings up to filling in? History suggests not. However I feel with Solanke once he gets that first goal his confidence will lift and we will see a different player, he has the physicality to be a good player looks like he is affected by not scoring. Haven’t seen much of Ings in reserves so not sure if he could fill in for Firmino either. Do we need to buy someone if Studge goes?
January 18, 2018 at 5:30 am #1584964Mwake would be a risk to let Sturridge go unless we get a replacement in then by all means as he needs to move on much for the sake of himself as the club.
However Ings is coming back from a serious injury and imho needs to go out on loan to play regular so we can see if he can regain his sharpness (both mind and physically).
I like Solanke and think he will come good but he needs a lot of work with his finishing, ability to get into positions and think about it if we are chasing a CL game and Firmino is injures or has to come on would you really be comfortable bringing Solanke or Ings on for that matter ….
I think we are light up top and this needs to be addressed and that doesn’t mean bringing Origi back before anyone suggests that.
January 18, 2018 at 7:52 am #1584997Sturridge can not be relied upon i would not loan him out as it is highly likely he will get injured. If someone comes in with a decent offer sell him but i doubt anyone will take the risk.
January 18, 2018 at 8:21 am #1585008Sturridge isn’t any good as back up as he’s not available when need, but he’s handy for the apprentice physios to try their hand on
January 18, 2018 at 9:10 am #1585024Hernandez on loan for the rest of the season i know west ham want to move him on he is the perfect off the bench player he could help us in certain games plus could play in the CL.
January 18, 2018 at 1:21 pm #1585162The James Rodriguez rumour seems to have too many ifs and buts connected. Actually need Real and Bayern to agree. Not so sure about him. Another World Cup wonder who fails to impress after.
January 18, 2018 at 1:36 pm #1585177Hernandez? No pls no. We got £100m from barca lets get the best players available.
January 18, 2018 at 2:45 pm #1585212Hernandez on loan! how is that spending out transfer budget
His goal scoring record per minute played is fantastic + if Sturridge does go then we need another body for the busy schedule coming up in Feb. Then we can look to buy someone in the summer.
January 18, 2018 at 5:13 pm #1585294Bob good points! Definately need to have a decent strategy before loaning or selling Sturridge. I forgot about Origi, but not sure he has been pulling up trees at Wolfburg so I dont think he is an option.
You’re right Ings needs games. I agree to an extent about Solanke and his finishing I just think its his nerves, he looks over eager and it affecting his confidence. Once he gets that first goal his confidence and focus will reveal that he is a good finisher.
The problem with strikers is that Klopp is looking for a specific type of striker, not many around specially at this time of the year. And since we dont rely on striker unlike teams like Tottenham Klopp probably doesn’t see it as a massive priority. Salah could probably play up front if we are really pushed. I expect us to get a solid striker after the world cup though!
