Actually Borussia Dortmund want Michy as a replacement for Arsenal bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. i will be baffled if we help Arsenal land that talent. let us not forget Arsenal is a top four rival. we need to make life difficult for them as much as possible. and they are making every effort they can to prevent Sanchez from joining us. let us pay them back. we should offer Michy to Dortmund and sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from them. he is similar age to Carroll and is proven goal scorer. are we missing a trick there?

Personally i think tammy has been awful this season. We are clutching at staws with him.
Christiansen is the example of how a loan should go. Take your chance and prove you are good enough at the top level. Tammy and rlc havent done that. I can see one if not both been sold in the next 2 year.
I think tammy has looked lost all season

Chelseaman… so essentially you’ve written a load of conjecture on chalobah which is waffle or hot air.

All we know is that chalobah went seeking assurances he would be played. Conte couldn’t give him those, Southgate rated his performance and said get regular game time and I’ll pick you for the full England squad.

Christiensen has said at all points while away he would consider joining gladback. That was up until as recently as this summer. Again you raise amoadu as a case study. He will be sent out on loan next season… has only played cup games so he’s not a great example. Gael kaukuta played in those… as did x, y, z… so your point is?

For all young players there comes a time when they correctly see sitting on the bench continually as harmful to their development, you only learn by playing. I think all Christensen indicated was a reluctance to return if the expectation was he would warm the bench and from his perspective he was quite right. Fortunately he got his chance, took it, and looks a future star.

Pointless getting too stuck into the Chalobah situation he’s gone now and is a Watford player.

Southgate allegedly told Chalobah he would go to Russia if he was playing week in week out and although Conte wanted him to stay and the club offered Chalobah a new much improved extended contract and Conte told him he would be well utilised Conte to be fair Conte couldn’t guarantee anyone that they would play week in week out.

Chalobah looked decent when he came on and has potential but the fact that Watford where the only club to chase him perhaps tells us something.

Bakayoko’s poor form having cost £40m has amplified the situation with Chalobah. Truly hope Chalobah recovers well from his injury and goes to Russia as I understand it the door is not completely closed on a return one day to Chelsea if he progresses. Time will tell.

As i said before Chelsea is a global brand, and winning trophies is the order of the day. What assurance did Chalobah wanted? to be given that he should be in the starting eleven without hard work? all that has been written about Christensen was just a rumour. i can’t remember him giving an interview an criticizing the club. he consistently said that let us see what happens when i return to Chelsea. whereas our loan army now are busy giving interviews rather than working on their weaknesses. Conte gets more decisions right than he gets wrong. i think playing for Palace is one thing and playing for Chelsea is another. here at Chelsea you are expected to produce your best week in week out. that is the minimum standard, and mistakes are unforgivable. while at Palace and Swansea, its easy to fly under the radar. Chalobah was told to fight for the right to start. and he refused to do so. personally i don’t care whoever plays for the team. as long as we don’t disrupt our winning culture.

TOTally agree with chelseaman as we covered this last summer. Winning comes before youth every time. Conte has done more in 2 seasons than managers the past 10 years. Hes brought christiansen from academy to first team and ampadu isnt far behind him although he needs a 2 year loan preferably in germany. That doesnt mean that tammy and rlc are good enough for the club.

The people screaming dor youth to be given a chAnce have to be satisfied this season but some people are just never happy

I think the ownership and the board need to start thinking about adjusting their seasonal targets.

In years to come if we continue to bring in level of player we have been in the last year or two and this mixed with the wanting to promote youth from the academy. The club will struggle to bring in the big titles with the other clubs over spending to get the best.

We are going down the road Arsenal did when they built their stadium.

chelsea.man: probably because Auba is deemed too similar to Morata? Chelsea (or Conte) seem to look for a striker in Costa’s mould. Hence Carroll. It would be awful if we spend money on a frequently injured striker who is 29 years old.

I think we should buy Auba. The player wants to leave. And he is a goalscorer, both in Bundesliga and in Champions League. We need that kind of player, who is clinical, can finish chances. Or probably it’s his price (50m?) that put us off?

Now about youth: agree with 999, no point talking about Chalobah. He left. And anyway we have a good core in CM: Kante, Drinkwater, Bakayoko (hopefully) and probably Barkley who has more attacking style.

I don’t know how Aubameyang is considered similar to Morata? Aubameyang likes to play off the shoulders of the defenders. And his main asset is pace. Whereas Morata likes to attack the crosses within the box. I think Morata is more closer to Carroll than Aubameyang. I don’t if age and fee could be a problem. Given the rumours that United are getting Sanchez for £28M plus Mkhitariyan. And if we value Mkhitariyan. Is valued around £25m. Plus United are paying Sanchez £400k P/w. You will think that Aubameyang is not that expensive and is as consistent as Sanchez.Aubameyang

I personally think Tammy and the club made the wrong decision in going to Swansea. There is nothing creative about them at all and I think are the leagues lowest goal scorers. I would’ve rathered him join another EPL club for a loan deal. I’ve mentioned it before don’t judge the lad over the fact he isn’t scoring or scoring a lot. He’s learning. A certain Harry Kane didn’t score that many during his loan spells but is now being linked with Real Madrid & is Spuds all time top EPL goalscorer.

Aindro. No point talking about chalobah… there is because we have another batch of young players who want to play for the club who will be sold or loaned out. Given how the team played with zero passion yesterday – I’d like to see people give their all for the club. Tend to find those loyalties in home grown players…

I mean how many of us would pick lingard at Man U in our side? Yet, he’s won them games this year…

well yet again if last nights game proved anything we are now in desperate need of an accomplished striker, though I cannot really mention or think of anyone which is probably the same reason why the cub are not really chasing anyone except the likes of Carrol. At the moment no-one seems capable of scoring, Batshuayi was as surprised as everyone else when the ball actually went into the net and only just as well.

Chelsea Lee – my feeling is that in Paul clement (ex Chelsea) we were able to do a loan deal for Tammy with some kind of “assurance” that he would be given some games. On their day (more previous than now) they were a decent footballing side and I presume the expectation was that Clement would be able to revive their fortunes

This has not happened, Clement is gone, Tammy has been injured and now the new manager obviously does not rate him enough to give him a game (not even on the bench again last night)

    Best laid plans etc. KTBFFH

In all honesty after last nights “performance” does anyone honestly believe we have any hope of recouping the fee we paid for Michy. If we got half we should be grateful

Personally, I would just take him behind the stand and shoot him to put him out of his misery. An atrocious performance regardless of the goal. KTBFFH

Notnice – very true. My feeling is that if they think that Conte will walk, is investing 50+m in a player like Aubameyang (for example) really worth it…? Probably better to wait for the new man in the Summer and go on his preferences

Trouble is staying with what we have clearly can put the season in jeopardy when I am sure that Roman would want CL football next season. KTBFFH

You can say what you like about shooting bats… wasn’t a great performance, but he scored… two outcasts combined… given no one else has scored since December I don’t care what a striker does so long as they score… goals put points on the board.

dennis wise was asked about the possible signing of Carroll, well, he laughed, he too probably cant believe that the story has substance in it, but it has.
And some actually posted after last nights game we needed him, really, think there are 16 games left so on his return on games played he would probably manage three, a lame duck who, and forget what Moyes is spewing out, that WH would be delighted to get any sort of fee for.

Bp. I made a joke about needing a route one target for our style of football. Total tongue in cheek.

West Ham should be happy to get him off their books for free… even if that was the case, I still wouldn’t want him.

I just want to see the back of conte before he makes anymore shit signings. Carroll is a lump of turd.

    Extract from

    BATSHUAYI EXIT LIKELY

Michy Batshuayi is likely to leave Chelsea on loan this month, according to Sky sources.

Sevilla want the Belgium international, and there’s the real possibility of a loan swap with West Ham for Andy Carroll.

West Ham manager David Moyes watched Batshuayi score for Chelsea against Norwich in the FA Cup on Wednesday. Moyes always like to watch players live before signing them.

After his performance last night Moyes will be making sure West Ham have a Barge Pole on hand !!
