So, he advises specially to his boys to ‘up the ante’ for tomorrow afernoon. I get that in the context of rivalry in itself, and Ferguson was always a grade A “insert every available swearword”.
Clearly, Chelsea residue or some form of resentment. What’s his beef with Liverpool?
I don’t get it. I hate him and I resent Chelsea for 2014.
He played 6-3-1 against us at Anfield that’s how much he would prefer just coming away without a loss.
I don’t believe deep down Jurgen Klopp has any like for this somewhat agenda-driven individual. He’s a perfect fit for Manchester United. He’s that much of a Bastard that he;d rather somebody he just likes for the sake of it beats him than Liverpool and Arsenal beating him. He had it in for Arsene Wenger too but Arsene is 100 X the class that Jose will never be.
What was his hate then? Champions League Semi Final 2005?
Haha, Rafa eliminated him good and proper.
January 14, 2017 at 10:58 pm #1416867Oh dear……
January 14, 2017 at 11:03 pm #1416868Validity!
Errm, cheers by the way to you too; I’d happily buy you a round!
January 15, 2017 at 1:12 am #1416885Nil may have a few scoops in him but he’s got a valid point about Jose being bitter towards Liverpool. I personally think Jose is a bit gone in the head. I think he’s bitter towards Liverpool because years ago he wanted this job and the club went with Rafa. This boiled over big time when we knocked them out of Europe twice, the main one being the ghost-goal situation that he wouldnt shut up about for years.
Jose is the perfect match for Utd when it comes to focusing 2 things that Liverpools fans may inherently dislike. It’s efficiant for us but he seems to be doing well there now. I had him pegged for failure if I’m perfectly honest.
We have a real test ahead tomorrow, it’s Utds cup final for sure (as someone else said on another thread) but even though it isn’t quite that for us in ways, it’s just as big of a match in others.
I want to see us put Utd to the sword tomorrow, my dislike of Jose is really only a tiny part of it though. My title aspirations havent been too healthy for a while now but they can have a shot in the arm. .
January 15, 2017 at 5:40 am #1416897It’s obviously from when we k/o’d them from the C/L when they had a supposedly way superior squad.
At the end of the day who really gives a toss, he’s an arrogant ego maniac that pretty much everyone (bar the club he manages fans & staff) can’t stand. Maybe that physio lady is an exception to for the staff.January 15, 2017 at 7:09 am #1416904Hi NIL,want a skinned apple bud?
January 15, 2017 at 7:17 am #1416906I can understand why Liverpool fans might dislike Mourinho it probably started with the League Cup Final defeat at Cardiff and ended with the 2-1 defeat at Anfield that derailed Liverpool’s title challenge a couple of seasons back with much in between.
Mourinho is only ever really liked by the fans of his own club and in truth even that is not always 100% of them. But you have to give him credit for winning what he has at so many different clubs very few Managers achieve what he has at so many different clubs.
Declaring hatred though for anyone in football is unhealthy because at the end of the day football is only a game and there are so many more important things in life and if anyone doesn’t get that then they should go and visit a Cancer Hospital.
It was another late night rant from Nil which thankfully ended there last night although if the result goes the wrong way today who knows what might pop up tonight hopefully if the result was to go the wrong way this afternoon Nil will remember that he’s already sitting on a serious warning from James.
January 15, 2017 at 8:21 am #1416917That’s unfair. There’s nothing sinister, it’s something I read and made a point about. I would start this thread 9am in the morning. Nine, getting a bit tired of you to be honest.
You driving this ‘theme’ constantly that doesn’t exist. It’s not your right Nine to comment in such way and you’re making any contact with me, personal.
January 15, 2017 at 8:33 am #1416919Yeah, Mr Mak, I read that somewhere about him being bitter because he didn’t get the job with LFC. It made me wonder like Ferguson, he used to always be that ‘extra up for it’ when it came to the Liverpool games when he was Chelsea boss.
I still think he’s been harbouring a grudge ever since the Champions League Semi Final knockout back in 2005 with Luis Garcia’s goal.
I don’t believe it’s any other reason like Liverpool not agreeing to move the fixtures (or something like that) back in 2014.
January 15, 2017 at 8:52 am #1416925Not sure how Mourinho would have been bitter about not getting the Liverpool job, he was appointed Chelsea manager 2 weeks before Benitez was appointed Liverpool manager.
Didn’t Benitez develop a hatred towards United and Chelsea during his time at Liverpool? Even mocking Chelsea fans for the way they support their club.
Hasn’t Wenger developed a hatred towards United, Spurs and Chelsea during his time as Arsenal manager?
Mourinho hatred towards Liverpool was more of a dispute towards Benitez, we know they do not like each other and Benitez was just Liverpool manager at the time.
January 15, 2017 at 9:09 am #1416929Agree Nine.
My post above could be incorrect in regards to Jose hatred towards Liverpool. Has Jose ever said anything disrespectful towards Liverpool or about Liverpool. According to Gerrard himself, this is what Jose said about Liverpool fans-
He always told me about his deep respect for our supporters. Jose would have had a fantastic time bringing huge success to Liverpool.
So where is this hatred towards Liverpool from Jose, it is just non existence. People are just clinging on to events of a few years ago and want to blame someone. Unfortunately this whole thing has been fabricated by Nil.
January 15, 2017 at 9:23 am #1416933I had no love for Jose after the fingers to his lips gesture after a gerrard own goal. Mainly because it seemed he thought it was his stroke of genius. But my hatred for Jose started when he was at Madrid. After the eye gouge on tito I knew the man wouldn’t be worth pissing on if he was on fire. 9 will argue he wins trophies etc. But does that matter when you are such a deplorable human being. He’s a scum bag, and no amount of medals will change that.
January 15, 2017 at 9:37 am #1416938Dirty harry, that’s the perverse side of Jose. I read and seen however online when he cried after one of the Inter Milan players was leaving. Things got ugly in his time at Real Madrid and his second spell back at Chelsea.
He’s never well received whenever he goes to Anfield. I get the feeling there’s an underlying hate towards us though. I know Fergie had it in his younger days as he wanted to knock Liverpool off their perch and successfully did.
January 15, 2017 at 9:46 am #1416942Genius manager. 2 european cups. Countless trophies. 1 of the greats. Like him or hate him
January 15, 2017 at 10:46 am #1416963Very good Manager but Nine is right he’s loved by the clubs he’s managed and hated by others. There is a reason for that and usually it’s his conduct and what he says etc etc.
You can’t doubt his ability to win matches, cups etc. what you could question is the style in which he does this. This is the reason why I honestly would never want him as our Manager.
I also disliked Ferguson for obvious reasons but truly admired his style of football.
January 15, 2017 at 11:13 am #1416976Historically he hates us because we were a thorn in his side under Rafa. 2014 was residue as Gerrard was still playing, he knew Brendan from Chelsea & we were up for the title. He will fancy it again today because there’s much at stake, but personal antagonism is not something Klopp gets into. That tactic may not work against this Liverpool. Let’s see what happens & how far we have come under Jurgen.
January 15, 2017 at 11:54 am #1417000I think we are mixing up hatred with rivalry Liverpool have been a major rival to Mourinho across all of his PL years and Mourinho is a winner so he will always want to beat Liverpool and he will now big up the even stronger rivalry between United and Liverpool and let’s be fair Rafa wasn’t backwards at coming forwards in fanning the flames of the rivalry between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Tbh I haven’t agreed with some of what Mourinho involved himself in across his two tenures at Chelsea and I do think his celebrations in the 2-1 game at Anfield were probably more than a tad over the top although Mourinho did explain what was behind that in his interview with Garry Neville.
To suggest that it’s Mourinho’s hatred of Liverpool that led him to call on more support from the fans today and then criticise him for encouraging the United fans to give that greater support at OT v Liverpool seems a tad ironic to ms because Klopp himself has encouraged the fans in their support of Liverpool at Anfield on a number of occasions.
Hopefully it’s a great game the best team wins and we’re all only talking about the football this evening and we don’t see any silly posts from anyone.
January 15, 2017 at 12:06 pm #1417010Jose is in great form now as he is winning games. He’s very quiet and not getting in trouble like last season and the start of this season.he turns nasty when things aren’t going his way. I Dont believe Jose hates Liverpool at all. He’s praised our supporters a few times. No doubting he is one of the all time greatest managers and I had no doubts he would turn Utd fortunes around. Absolutely despise the man but he’s a great manager.
January 15, 2017 at 12:07 pm #1417011Totally agree nine and cm. hopefully we are not talking about refs etc later.
January 15, 2017 at 12:17 pm #1417012The special one had special hatred for Rafa & Arsene to be fair & I’m not sure what Wenger ever did to antagonise him other than be unsackable. As for the clubs, Utd need the rivalry with Liverpool to try & stay ahead in the league title stakes, but latterly Liverpool’s rivalry seems more intense with Chelsea. We don’t want to fight this season out with Utd. We want to fight it out with Chelsea.
