He he, everyone sees things differently I guess. Fair play to all the points above, it may have just been rhetoric after a bad defeat.
But for some reason it got me going! He’s right, we have been shite for the last half a decade. We haven’t gone further in the CL apart from the QF’s once. We’ve been outside the top 4 most seasons since SAF. I thought he put everything into perspective very well. What were we expecting like? Fellaini to score a hatrick? Now, if next season he’s still making the same ‘excuses’ then all is lost and it’s the end. Some people think it’s the beginning of the end, I’m not so sure.
I felt that it’s the beginning of the beginning today. Hope he has a great summer and leads us to glory next year. If not then we roll the dice again.March 16, 2018 at 8:06 pm #1613426Deep and rough anal bumming of Sandra in Bury.
March 16, 2018 at 9:50 pm #1613440The man needs to breath some life into the team. The team looks finished and void of ideas. I wasn’t impressed but let’s see how he sets the team up on Saturday
March 16, 2018 at 9:51 pm #1613441Watched it on bbc.
The man said when he leaves we will have Matic and Lukaku…. hahahaha
March 16, 2018 at 9:53 pm #1613442I maybe drunk like happy but that doesn’t fill me with any optimism
March 16, 2018 at 10:05 pm #1613444Personally I think all he was saying basically was your no longer an elite club and I am Jose Maurinho your saviour.
Excuse me while I clear my throat erm Jose you are not our saviour we will be a giant with or without you.

March 16, 2018 at 11:06 pm #1613455Meltdown.
March 17, 2018 at 3:01 am #1613458Wow mother of all cringes longest 5 mins 😣
March 17, 2018 at 3:35 am #1613459He’s right, we have been shite for the last half a decade.
@happyhurling – That’s what we’ve been trying to tell you for the last half a decade!!We were right, but would you believe us. No, it’s been spin after spin from you.
March 17, 2018 at 7:54 am #1613466How THAT can be seen as brilliant is beyond me. Maybe if you’re an opposition supporter who loves to watch your rivals burn or if you’re seriously deluded or just incredibly naive. He’s managed to divert all blame for this debacle while crapping over the club and it’s history but not without championing his own achievements in the process. Or, as I like to call it, being Jose Mourinho. I’m a patient man but I have no patience left for this man.
Jose’s always been all about result but now, with those nothing to write home about what’s left. The performances are as abysmal as anything I’ve seen and it’s blatantly clear that the players are fed up with his negativity and narcissism. This press conference summed up everything that’s wrong with Mourinho. To sack him NOW would be terrible timing but I’d still do it without blinking. That’s how bad it is with him at the helm.
March 17, 2018 at 7:59 am #1613467I like the 2nd conference, he’s been honest and direct about the players and their mentality. We prioritised the Liverpool game and the players that came in for Sevilla either weren’t good enough or didn’t perform.
We all thought the quarter finals was probably our level this year, and if we rested players against Liverpool we probably would have made it through this round and crashed out against anyone decent. It didn’t make it any easier to stomach watching it.
We need to get behind the team and see if we can overpower Brighton! Then Jose needs to be backed again in the summer to see if he can get us to the next level.
March 17, 2018 at 8:07 am #1613468The line “there are many Sevilla players who could play direct in my team” is the one that really gets me!.He’s just admitted that his own player recruitment and squad restructuring over the last 2 seasons at a cost of around 300m has made us inferior to the 5th team in La Liga, who incidentally are so damn ‘good’ that they have a minus goal difference and operate on a fraction of our budget!.
Fuck me,what an admission to make and what a shambles we have become.March 17, 2018 at 8:21 am #1613471Suddenly Sevilla are world beaters, they have a shit record away from home, if they didn’t have that retard Murial playing from the start, the game would have been over in the first 30 minutes. You could see from the first 10 ten minutes that Fellaini was a passenger, anyway it’s done lol.
March 17, 2018 at 8:56 am #1613485I like both conferences! He speaks his mind, he speaks the truth and it’s good to see him angry. Now he needs to galvanise the team using this disappointment, harness the spending power of the board for big investment and get back to doing what he does best which is winning titles.
Blacky – Maybe he was simply referring to the dross in our team (that you’ve pointed out over the last 500 years) would be replaced by some Sevilla players?
No point in arguing about it – this is either the beginning of the end or the start of something great. Time will tell.March 17, 2018 at 9:16 am #1613492When he mentioned Matic and Lukaku somebody should have asked him about Pogba and how’s that working out.
You’re right blacky, but he’s just looking for a bigger transfer pot but there are better ways to do it.
Mike2005, mentioning that the players needed to grow up should have been said a long time ago but I never heard him say he was also at fault and it was a bad night all round.
March 17, 2018 at 9:46 am #1613506I don’t know what on earth is going on. His predecessor talked about philosophy and process, subsequently bored us to death; now this guy is waffling about heritage and process. Someone wake me up after this nightmare is over!
We didn’t have the players to beat Seville? Your selection of fellaini and tactics to let them play had nothing to do with it? Everybody else’s fault but his!
March 17, 2018 at 9:51 am #1613507@happyhurling – You directed a post to me in the Heritage thread. Its best if we let that thread die and use this one. Note: for those who haven’t seen the video I posted it in that topic.
Yes he’s right the team has been shite the past 5 years. But when we told you that, you argued it wasn’t. Now you do a U Turn.
If we had exited to Bayern or Barca fair enough but it was Sevilla. If we played well and it didn’t go our way, fair enough. But it was neither. JM has spent 300m and had almost 2 years to train the team. Its largely HIS team and tactics.
IF there is “dross” in the team why does he not get rid of it. He is the one giving Rojo a new contract and begging Fellaini to say. Of Rojo he said ……
“Marcos has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of seasons, He is always ready to put his body on the line for this club.”
He did not defend the players or the club. He defended himself, boasting about himself and panning the club and players. And YOU call that “Brilliant” !
If its not worth arguing about why then did you start the topic. I know why. You hoped to lead the cheer with everybody joining in saying “Great stuff Jose”. You miscalcutated, everybody is saying “No Way Jose”.
March 17, 2018 at 10:10 am #1613524Dear God,his 2nd conference just confirmed it for me,this man has lost it! Calling Conte senile and himself acting like this? This cancer simply has to go in the summer,no 2 ways about it.Matic should have never been signed you cunt.
March 17, 2018 at 10:16 am #1613530There is something fundamentally wrong @ the heart of this club, something rotten @ the core!Cannot wait for this season to end and hopefully a major clear-out,starting with the manager himself.
