I was going to score the players again but even after time to calm down I wouldn’t give any of them higher than a 5. I was luckily enough not to have to pay to watch that abject performance as I was a guest. The old Leeds curse of turning a good player bad could have struck again. Evans STILL doesn’t know his best starting 11, and IF he does then why the hell isn’t he playing them? Persisting with Wootton just seems bloody minded stupidity. He must be able to see changes were needed yet he held out hoping one of our two static strikers just might have an attempt on goal. It was never going to happen Steve! And don’t be trying to kid us that all will be well when Wood comes back. It’s not as if he’s set the world on fire.
Now Preston are ahead of us, and how much have they spent?
Absolutely fed up again, and yet again it’s only February!

Can’t disagree with any of that and this is the summary of my World as far as LUFC is concerned. It is patently obvious that what we have in terms of quality that we can put on the pitch is poor; the only saving grace is that there is some potential in terms of the kids coming through. However, those youngsters need to come through with older heads around them to show them what to do, how and when and to be blunt what we have is a bunch of very ordinary players plying their trade in a league that is above their standard.

Also, I am coming to the conclusion that Steve Evans, for all his bluster, does not have a clue for getting the best from what he has available to him. What he is very good at is blaming everybody and everything around him and not accepting any responsibility at all for what is happening on the pitch week in week out.

I think the next half dozen games will be pivotal as regards his future employment. I am dreading the prospect of him being in charge for next season.

Sadly, I am in the Fed Up Club too.

I, who normally have alot to say, am absolutely lost for words: for the first time, I cannot find anything to write home about. There’s no news, nothing exciting or even controversial to discuss. It’s like we’re in the middle of a state of stasis or paralysis. With the rubbish we’re playing and the mediocre lot at our disposal one can’t even engage in the normally stimulating exercise of anticipating the prospective line up for our next game.

I never felt this way before. Even in the dark years after our post 2004 relegation and our spell in the third tier, there was so much of interesting things to write about, to speculate, to ponder. This is the pits and beyond, compounded by the mass exodus of all our regular team talkers.

Yes, Lasher, you’re spot on mate: it just gets worse!!!

I’ve supported our beloved club since way back when through all the glory years when we were simply the best and through the dark years of the 80s when we were stuck in the old second division. I have to say it now, categorically: this has to be the worst chapter I have witnessed. I doubt, more and more each day, that the glory days would ever return in my lifetime.

I’m just trying to forget about football. The players are dire, the manager is embarrassing, the owner a liability. The club has flatlined.

Trying to get into beach volleyball instead.

On the day Liverpool’s owners respond positively to a problem at their club, Cellino is caught on camera saying he increased ticket prices in one stand to punish fans. Slightly different ways to treat your ‘customers.’

The bizarre thing about the Liverpool incident is that the fans have been treated exactly as they do not want to be treated – as “customers”! Sure the management have been quick to apologise just as any decent supermarket would and seemingly put the ticket rise to one side although in the end analysis fans will end up paying more than they are now next season. A bit of smoke and mirrors if you like or even everyone’s a winner.

In our case there is an increasing antagonism between MC and the supporters, each treating the other with contempt. This will only end in tears and the despair around it all is that there seems to be nothing to lead anyone to believe that things are going to improve for us fans in any way, shape or form any time soon. Sigh!

I know that we are up the proverbial gum tree but for the life of me I cannot understand these folk who want to run the Sheriff out of town, no doubt expecting him to take a bath on his investment to boot and then completely prepared to take a leap into the abyss. Perhaps they would rather that LUFC ceased to be.

Unless I have missed something there is no-one there who wants to buy the club – is there?

I don’t know what the answer is but cutting off your nose to spite your face is not it.

I wonder how many other sayings I could have dropped in there………..

    Bored now!
