Roy Keane wants to return to club management but the Republic of Ireland assistant boss will remain in his current role for Euro 2016.

Be interesting to see where Roy Keane might pop up he has the passion and the know how to be a Manager but he can’t be an easy Manager to play for or indeed for a Chairman or his Board to control.

Think he makes a better nr2. I imagine he is too inconsistent and volatile to be the main man.

Keane is a dinosaur who cant adapt to modern days of football, not only in tactics, but culturally as well. If he were Arsenal manager, he would ban selfies and would likely yell at the players saying how ‘back in my day’ we never took selfies. It would be as silly as David Moyes taking hot chips off the menu at Man United. Why did Moyes do that? To show he was boss? The players knew Moyes was boss, yet subsequently the players only resented Moyes for taking a petulant position to reaffirm authority the players never questioned in the first place.

The best managers work with the players, not engage in a struggle to reaffirm a position of authority over the players. I think Keane buys into his hard man image so much that it will prevent him from ever lightening up and allowing his players to enjoy themselves.

I reckon he is a terrible manager

I certainly agree with those who say Keane is not a good manager. I can’t see any big club giving him a chance. He’ll be floating about in the Championship at best, unless a relegation threatened team gets really desperate.
