Seeing WHU leaving Boleyn (is that how you spell it) or Upton Park caused me to pause and reflect if it should ever happen that it may be decidied to move to Plastic Park rather than stay at Jurassic Park.

On reflection whatever it costs one way or another we have no option but to stay. The reason I say this in not nostalgia but Fratton is where PFC live and what we have all come to protect when the club was nearly killed off, it is like the red Indians being moved into reservations or the Aborigines having to give up their lands not an option.

Portsmouth is an historic island city and in the same way we look after the historic ships in the port, Fratton is synonymous with this protection. The ritual of the arrival on the island the sight of the floodlights from many miles away and the walk into the stadium could never be replaced by some “KFC Chicken Six Pack Stadium” replacement plastic job, so my vote is to stay put. Enuff said.

Yup I just about agree Chris, though there are some very nice low-cost grounds around, eg Reading’s.
