Lovren and Wijn have been out and unlikely to feature tomorrow. Plus, Lucas has a muscle injury (still). I thought we had a clean bill of health, but now a selection headache where the defense is concerned.

I agree Bob, I think we will just about win the game. Those Leicester players will be smarting from the criticism they’ve had.

I didn’t know Wijnaldum has been injured. if he can’t start tomorrow that’s going to throw our balance way off. It’s so bloody annoying that we can’t seem to ever have a full strength team for any time at all.

I’d been calling for a high tempo game from us but with Can coming into the team, that slows our play down, essentially enabling the parking of a bus.

Hightown, ha I won’t be predicting quite that scoreline this time. I wouldn’t say no to 4-0 though 😉

Bingo, Leicester shouldn’t be focussed on progressing in Europe in fact the best thing that could happen to Leicester now is that they go out of the CL.

Leicester have to concentrate fully on their next 13 PL games if they are going to survive no matter who the Manager is.

Bingo, I think that’s where there focus was all season. Their league form was inexplicable & the need for that explanation partly attributed to Ranieri’s sacking. The trigger, if needed at all, will have come too soon. Tomorrow night I believe we will either find their focus is back or they will still be split in sixes & sevens. I hope for the latter. I have gone from wanting them to win the CL to being relegated. They should have stuck with the man who was a hero for everyone who loves the underdog winning the impossible. Sacking him like that was awful. YNWA

I agree with Sanji Leicester have been far to focussed on the CL at the expense of the PL and then the PL losses have stripped their morale and confidence.

Interesting article in the Mail today that suggests Ranieri stuck with Pearson’s tactics from the beginning of last season because that’s what the players felt comfortable with and the rest is history. This season according to the article Ranieri constantly changed the tactics confusing the players?

Rumours that the players have asked for Pearson to come back?

Hiddink would be a good interim call but he will be 71 next birthday and I think anything longer than that might be too much for him.

I don’t think Liverpool have to worry about an appointment being made by tomorrow which obviously might aid Leicester’s morale.

I suspect we will see a reaction from Leicester tomorrow but I still think Liverpool will have too much in their locker for them.

I bet Sky can’t believe their luck in scheduling this game tomorrow given everything that’s happened.

I dont know about that 999. The best thing that can happen for them is a good run both in the league and europe. Would you be happy with your team crashing out of the Championsleague?
They will be looking to set the record straight today. I still suspect that the foxes will be focused on Europe, one good game and they progress.

Bingo, tbh I think ultimately Sevilla will be too good for them anyway they were very fortunate to come out of the first leg still in the tie.

The most important objective for Leicester is staying in the PL which will be no easy task for them and even should they be fortunate enough to get past Sevilla it’s only putting off the inevitable because Leicester just aren’t good enough or equipped to go much further in the CL and I suspect the majority of Leicester fans will be smart enough to realise that and realise where their priority lie.

It’s unfortunate for Leicester that they have such a tough game tonight lose tonight as is likely and they only have 12 games to save their PL status and they need to start picking points up soon continuing in the CL will only get in the way of that.

Yeah they should just throw in the towel, admit to themselves that they cant focus on both competitions and forfeit the game against Sevilla.
Its not like there are 3 cup games til the final. Its not like the players are not capable of a upset. They are 2-1 down against Sevilla. They will be looking at that game, its the biggest game of their professional game yet.
If they actually progress in Europe, they will have made the right decision about Ranieri and they are to good for the drop if it gets tight down there at the end of the season. If they get relegated on the other hand the whole circus could turn into another Pompey.

Bingo, they haven’t been able to handle both competitions to date though have they.

Tbh I don’t think they will have a choice to make but if they could proceed in the CL it could build confidence and help them in their fight to survive albeit the extra games would stretch them.

I very much doubt though that the CL will be on their minds tonight.

A draw would be a fantastic result for Leicester tonight I can’t see them getting it though.

Not sure how accurate this article is, but it makes for a depressing reading about klopp.

No they have not, they will be trying to make some kind of response today.all they need in the league is a few games. 9-12 would be enough to jump up a couple of places in the league. The odd game out is enough to see them progress in Europe.
They got everything to play for, it will be an interesting game.

Bingo, let’s hope it’s as good as yesterday’s Final without the controversy, it is an even more interesting game now given what’s happened.

I get why some might be so anti Leicester now but I would hate to see them relegated as it would tarnish the fairy tale still further. I’m sure Claudio wouldn’t want that either. Cheers 999

    Redsforever, appreciate the link.

From what I’ve seen, the majority of training sesssions are held in the evening and I agree with the point of it being quite intense.

I don’t know the players personal circumstances and whether or not they have families. I played in a 6-a-side amateur league myself for 3 consecutive years and with it being played outside on the astroturf, I didn’t really like the fact that our kick-off times were 8, sometimes 9pm under the floodlights.

I get the fact that JK is maybe trying to get the players used to coping with the late nights and cold conditions, but what about when our games are played at lunchtime?

My personal preference for P.E. outdoor is either mid-morning or afternoon.

Training traditionally for a lot of clubs for a Saturday game would be on a Friday with a quiet night in and then a chance to wind down in the evening with a day off Sunday and back on the circuit Monday, but if there was one criticism of JK I had, then perhaps it would be this and judging by the timetable, that regime is quite heavy.

I know from playing really late too and coming home, even after a bath, I wouldn’t be instantly tired to go straight to sleep.

Honestly I’m just hoping that Europe is still a distraction from the league. Until they are out, they got a game they can nick. Would there be a bigger story than Old Big Ears heading to Leicester.

The Leicester player are going to be right up for this one after the last few days, they will go back to playing like last year with a counter game. We need to bring our A game form the start to win this Mane/Frimino need to run in behind Huth & Morgan as much as possible. Also our full backs need to bring some quality going forward. It is in games like this i don’t rate Milner @ LB & Clyne`s just gone quite.

S7, reading that article is depressing because it raises doubts whether klopps style will work in england.
