January 26, 2016 at 1:17 pm #820364We’d be crazy to break our transfer record, 2 great seasons in the Ukraine and that’s about it.
January 26, 2016 at 1:34 pm #820436The Evening Standard are running with a story that following the sale of Ramires for £25m Chelsea are prepared to match Shaktars fee of £38m for Teixera as well as sign Pato????????
January 26, 2016 at 1:59 pm #820550Nine: If Chelsea are willing to bid £38 million then they can have him, I will not be disappointed.
January 26, 2016 at 2:01 pm #820553I think it’s probably just paper talk mate with Chelsea more likely to be saving all their pennies for the new Manager in the summer whoever that may be.
January 26, 2016 at 3:36 pm #820769Chelsea aren’t after Teixeira.
January 26, 2016 at 3:40 pm #820784It’s looking good alright.
January 26, 2016 at 5:14 pm #820952Seems Chel$ki is getting rid of Ramires to found this.
January 26, 2016 at 5:15 pm #820958Behemoth He’s told them to sell him to Liverpool. He wants to come herw
January 26, 2016 at 5:20 pm #820964I really hope so ST, I do but Im a tad of a pessimist. 😛
We have been burned to many times with these kinda news in the past so Im taking this with a pinch of salt.January 26, 2016 at 5:32 pm #820976Behemoth that’s true. Rumour is that we will pay them £30m up front, the rest will be paid in installments. If Chelsea sneaked in and took him from us now, I’d be gutted. Why it takes Liverpool so long to get a deal done I just don’t know. The negotiations seem to drag for so long. Hopefully this time,we will get our man
January 26, 2016 at 7:03 pm #821060I really hope so too. Tho I do have some issues with the huge fee for someone that doesnt have international experience and has only been proven in Ukraine. But hopefully we will have him and he proves me wrong!
January 26, 2016 at 7:09 pm #821063Just throw in some add-ons if he’s successful, like we did with Firmino. Then if things go pear shaped, we at least won’t have to pay as much.
But from what I’ve seen, this guy is worth the money.

#hhhhhh wish to see so many changes gett tired of trophylesssssJanuary 27, 2016 at 10:07 am #822092AbdiAziz Hashi Egal – You are living in cloud cuckoo land, also if never helps when a lot of players are brought in in one go. We need a new Keeper, 1 CB, 1 DM, and a striker and that is about it.
I would go Ter Stegen, Hummels, Gustavo / Kedhira, Not sure on the striker, it depend on whose available.
The first three wouldn’t be cheap but would go straight into the first team and would improve us immensely we have a strong squad now it should be quality not quantity.
January 27, 2016 at 10:09 am #822104AbdiAziz Hashi Egal – I don’t see the killer striker that plays for Lapland Rovers…Father Christmas. ;o)
January 28, 2016 at 9:33 am #824993The player clearly wants to come, but the asking price is around 39 whilst we’ve tabled around 25. Anything beyond an excess of 32 might seal it, but it’s a lot of money and obviously, this needs to be wrapped up over the weekend.
January 28, 2016 at 10:01 am #825062LFC spent ridiculous amt of money on average players like Lovren, lallana, henderson, carroll, allen, downing to name a few, who had “PL experience” and these players hve done nothing great – shaktior is a team that has a huge Brazilian pool connection and often dig good players, gets beaten in CL matches but participates each year although some would argue ukranian league is far from competitive – 2 players we did not get was willian and miktayrian (preferred Dortmund) – now we’re haggling for a mere 10 million and comments are that prices are high – nowadays any team in other countries when dealing with PL clubs are inflating the prices mainly because of EPL TV rights, so to be competitive we need to splash money on right players and not average ones
January 28, 2016 at 10:06 am #825074ynwa, still a lot of money to be fair and personally, I think it is a big leap when we’re talking 25 million, to the asking price of 38 million – that’s Chelsea, City and if you like, United’s territory.
I agree in principle, we SHOULD have that type of spending power and that would enable us to bring players like Lavezzi and Reus in, which is what we obviously want, as finished articles, but we’re going to need to start offloading players to balance the books.
I feel for Klopp because he now has to brunt of the mess made from previous transfer windows.
January 28, 2016 at 10:10 am #825083abdi: That’s the first post I’ve seen from you but are you here all week?
