Phwepsi,
Hazard was no where near as bad as Willian. Hazard was the only attacking threat in the first half won two free kicks, one we did score from and one we should have scored from.
Don’t know what game you watch most the time but games away from home against rivals is often hard for the players to play at their very best. As you can tell both teams weren’t at their best and thats why we share the spoils.
Very happy we didn’t lose and the teams once again can’t capitalise on our dropping of points.
January 31, 2017 at 10:26 pm #1426838Why when we have a poor performance is hazard singled out he was no better or worse for us tonight
Many players were constantly giving the ball away tonight, the tactics deployed can be questioned, this constantly soaking up pressure does not allow our front players to get on the ball with time or players around them
All that said every man and his dog knew a different Liverpool would turn up tonight
Thought Pedro and hazard done well when they came on and David Luiz deserved mom
Roll on Saturday and three points against the arseJanuary 31, 2017 at 10:27 pm #1426841Fabregas not hazard
January 31, 2017 at 11:06 pm #1426956Disappointed that we didn’t take all 3 points tonight. but still i can’t complain about it. other results have gone in our favour luckily. i think Costa could have done better with that Pen. but still this shows his determination and hunger which a good thing. Hazard isn’t at his best since that Westbrom injury. could that have done something wrong with him?
Luiz was deservedly MOM. again we conceded a cheap goal. i hope Conte will sort. i would have taken this draw with heart beat and with these other results if i was offered earlier today. i would hate to lose or draw against Arsenal. i think we should go for the win. i would assume Pedro and Hazard will start game.
January 31, 2017 at 11:15 pm #1426980Actually starting to think £50m for Vidal would be worth it as long as we can ship Matic out to China for £35m. He was so sluggish today.
Hazard was crap, willian was crap. Pedro is actually our form player. Came on and did things. I think we should start Fabregas in stead of Matic as our passing was woeful.
January 31, 2017 at 11:43 pm #1427011Some blues honestly saying hazard was bad? Thought he was terrific. Carried us forwards, always finds out a way out when under pressure, rated his performance. We are lucky to have him. Anyone else clock his defensive work?
A great day for Chelsea! Yes we could have won it with the pen and last 15 mins pressure but Liverpool are very, very good. Controlled the game for long periods. With the other dropped pants it’s a great result away from home.
Arsenal next… wounded animal or there for the taking ?

February 1, 2017 at 12:29 am #1427041I think “pants” works better!
February 1, 2017 at 5:28 am #1427061Hazard was terriffic ???? Your now on my posters to ignore list
February 1, 2017 at 7:54 am #1427100Amz totally agree
Matic isnt the way forwad. It was the same against spurs.
Vidal is a no at 29
We should break our balls for verattiFebruary 1, 2017 at 8:35 am #1427136Personally I thought we played with 10 men last night as Hazard was a complete passenger and Fabregas contributed more in his little cameo than Hazard did all game. I have posted this before but for me, Hazard has been off the pace for about a month now so not sure why
I see a big difference between players giving the ball away (which we did) and those simply not doing their jobs and for me, Hazard is the chief outlet and creator and he did not take anyone on and invariably tripped over the ball
Regardless, it was still a good team performance and we did what we had to apart from converting the penalty to potentially take all 3 points. So satisfied (especially after the other results) but tinged with a degree of disappointment. KTBFFH
February 1, 2017 at 8:44 am #1427148sorry, but I really don’t get this Hazard bashing when we don’t play well.
ohers were as poor and he shouldn’t be the scapegoat.
Who won the free kick for the goal!
And i bet conte regrets taking him off as more thna likley he would of scored the penalty and we would of had the three points.Agree on Matic though seems to be stuggling in the middle, pretty sure Ake RLC Chalobah could do a job in there if Fabregas continues to be ignored.
February 1, 2017 at 8:48 am #1427154Thought it was an interesting observation from Hoddle last night about where we are conceding goals
Alonso is not the greatest and there are times when he gives the ball away and gets caught. However, both him and Cahill seem to have forged a good understanding together which allows Alonso to add that extra attacking dimension to our game. But most importantly, and for all his flaws, we do not see many goals come form down his/their side
Goals conceded are now coming down the right where Dave and Moses seem to be exposed. Could this just be a height thing – not sure. Moses is learning his defensive duties but for me no longer carries the same attacking threat as he did at the start of the season when he won player of the month awards. Is Dave having to compensate for him. Don’t know
However, for me this only confirms my feeling that Zouma will be bought in to play at the back and I assume in place of Dave and then a decision is required as to the RWB role
If we can beat Arsenal then I would not be surprised to see Conte start to try and integrate Zouma into the team to see exactly how well he plays (after the injury) and how well he adapts to a back 3. Obviously he has played in the FAC but that is a different level to what he would face on a weekly basis. It would also get Zouma integrated for a full season next year as well so the back 3 would then be well versed in their duties. Conte can then decide if we need to go out and get another CB as cover, as a replacement or simply not bother (thinking of Christensen here). KTBFFH
February 1, 2017 at 8:50 am #1427157Its not just this match. Hazard was poor against hull awful against spurs and didnt do alot against leicster
Cesc needs to start against arsenal. Whats the point playing matic for security when he is too slow. Gives the ball away. And has poor desicion making. Its worth taking a risk for what fabergas brings offensivley
Yes both ydays goal and totenhams 2 both came from the exact same place. Its no conicidence. Its our weakness and the top teams are exploiting it
February 1, 2017 at 9:12 am #1427171Poor all round performance except for Luiz. Interesting that most of our chances came when Pedro and Fabregas were introduced. Hope Conte takes note. Conditions were also not great but that applies for Liverpool as well who deserved a draw. Decent point anyway.
February 1, 2017 at 9:20 am #1427178Perhaps Hazard has been carrying a few niggling injuries. Might explain why he’s not as dynamic. All players have ups and downs in form, I suspect he’ll be back to his ways… Unless… Unless there has been a little talk of where his future lies after this season. He did say he’d like to win the title again with us but didnt offer any concrete assurances as to what he’d do after… BUT, im putting it down to a loss of form or he’s being asked to do a little more defensive duty at the minute.
February 1, 2017 at 9:46 am #1427199Our best players last night were Kante, Luiz, Fabregas and Pedro. Pedro was quality and provided a constant attacking threat.
February 1, 2017 at 10:13 am #1427224Hazard did say that it was taking out of context but there is a possibility he could want a move in the summer. Question is where too? We can demand over 100m easy. Will anyone pay that for his displays this season. Hes been good but not worth that. He wont replace anyone in madrids first 11. Nor would he in barcas. only 2 places would be munich or psg and i doubt either would be in for him at that price
February 1, 2017 at 10:50 am #1427253RDP – while I think that Hazard has been poor of late, unless it was confirmed he was injured I would start with him. we all know he is capable of pulling anything out of the hat and a moment of his genius can change a game – and that is probably why he gets criticised when he does not produce because we all expect him too…?
Must admit that although Luiz played really well last night I thought Kante was outstanding and would have run him very close for man of the match. KTBFFH
February 1, 2017 at 10:54 am #1427256AMZ – Fabregas created more in his cameo that Hazard did in the whole match but I am reluctant to start Fabregas in a game as I do not think he can last the pace. Similar to Hazard, there is no denying the ability of Fabregas and when on song both players are game changes
IMO, Hazard is (normally) more consistent that Fabregas and I prefer to use him as the super sub to change a game if required. KTBFFH
