VVD got 12 minutes last Saturday did well lol
Seriously, I heard Origi scored tonight for Wolfsburg, haven’t seen the game but happy that he has scored.
Digressing a little something we seem to be lacking at the moment is a goal scoring figure. We are relying on our creators to also score the goals which is good but we need an Aubayyang type finisher too in our team to make it complete up front.
September 20, 2017 at 6:26 am #1534134Mwake as you know I agree but Klopp doesn’t seem to think that way and tbh from what I saw I don’t think he’s overly bothered about getting knocked out of the cup (hence saving Sturridge for the CL).
I like Solanke but he needs time to make his mark and for me in some ways he’s already showing signs of being better than Origi in his movement (just needs to work on his finishing).
Firmino’s a good player but he isn’t a regular scorer and at the moment we still aren’t clinical enough. We could hope that Sturridge will stay fit but I’d get someone else in and assess him over an entire season (I still don’t think he’s finished and think he will be available more this season – but of course will never fully be available game in game out).
September 21, 2017 at 2:18 pm #1534743Agreed Bob! If it wasn’t for his loss of speed Sturridge would be the ultimate modern day striker. He’s still very dangerous but because of his nature, he needs to play with a partner. He’s no good as the lone striker up front, in a more classic 4-4-2 system Sturridge would be deadly.
I do like Origi, I think some of his problems were mental rather than physical. Hopefully, the time in Germany will give him the confidence. Origi has the physique and pace needed to be a success in the PL but sometimes his positioning and awareness were lacking, he drifted away from the striking areas meaning passers didn’t have a target when we were advancing. Benteke did a similar thing before he got sold, but I think it was a mental thing.
October 15, 2017 at 5:20 pm #1545179A goal again for Origi (header) in a 2-2 away draw at Leverkusen. Maybe a young player we could have singed Jonathon Tah played for Leverkusen too.
October 15, 2017 at 5:26 pm #1545181Tah looks good but I want an older, experienced, established centreback to come in not some youngster who develops and makes mistakes on our watch.
October 15, 2017 at 7:44 pm #1545211Ginger agree whilst I think Tah is better than Lovren and Klavan but he will make some mistakes as he’s so young. But he’s got loads of potential ….
The player I’d go for is Koulibaly followed by De Vrij.
Obviously VVD should still be considered but we need at least one of those in Jan.
November 19, 2017 at 12:11 am #1559020Seems Origi has dropped to the bench for last two games or so. Don’t know if its injury related but I haven’t heard anything about that so I’m guessing it tactical. If so that doesn’t bode well for him or Liverpool. If he is struggling at Wolfsburg what chance does he have at LFC?
November 19, 2017 at 9:39 am #1559065He’s a good honest pro Mwake but can’t see him making the mark with us. I mean if you look at it Sturridge is finally managing to stay fit and doesn’t always get a game and I believe he’ll go end of season. I wouldn’t want that replacement to be Origi, I mean who would you rather have to call upon out of the two …
Rather buy a striker eg Aubameyang whose had a bit of a fallout with his club and rotate between him and Firmino and Solanke as back up who for me shows more than Origi.
November 19, 2017 at 3:46 pm #1559194Agreead Bob If we can get auba on the relative cheap I say go for it!
November 28, 2017 at 7:46 pm #1563147December 19, 2017 at 11:19 pm #1572340lol you know it’s not your day when…
December 19, 2017 at 11:48 pm #1572343I can see us getting a shed load for him on that form lol
February 17, 2018 at 2:32 pm #1600762Origi is due to line up against Bayern Munich at 2.30pm today. A good opportunity to see how our man is getting on and see potential CL opposition too.
February 20, 2018 at 8:55 pm #1602059It seems Grujic is playing really well at Cardiff in the defensive midfield role so we may see grujic ready to play there for us there next season.
February 24, 2018 at 8:59 pm #1603799Not really a loan watch but seen Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham scored another goal today… He now features as a attacking winger as much as he does as a fullback. He would be the perfect buy, would provide Robertson with some genuine competition and also Mane too! Also our man Seye Ojo can on as a substitute on the right winger today in a 2-0 win for Fulham. Maybe we could do a cash and player deal giving them Ojo…just a thought…
February 24, 2018 at 9:17 pm #1603805Poor guy, wasn’t so long ago we were desperate to have Origi at LFC. Looks like Jurgens judgement was spot on in letting him & Benteke go. Interesting to read Sakho is refusing to play at Palace for fear of aggravating an injury. Starting to feel bad about doubting Jurgen about Coutinho as well now. Definitely proving doubters wrong he is.
February 24, 2018 at 9:18 pm #1603806Sessignon is a good shout Mwake.
March 5, 2018 at 3:23 pm #1607392Cant wait to get our hands on this man!

“The Guinean midfielder was back in action after a hamstring issue and gave another demonstration of why Kopites can’t wait for his Anfield arrival.
Keita shone with a leading performance as RB Leipzig held Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw, with the soon-to-be Red registering a superb assist for the goal that put his side ahead, which you can see here.
Keita won possession in the middle of the park before showing great vision and technique to spot a through pass and execute it perfectly—teeing up Jean-Kevin Augustin to make it 1-0.
The assist understandably grabbed attention but it came in an impressive overall display from Keita who stood out his side’s star performer on the day.”
