Pre kick off I would have taken a draw. At the end as frustrating as it was a great Rooney free kick a draw was fair.
Stoke had to defend for almost an hour but the defensive work for a change was solid. The teamwork worked together but we could not retain the ball, so when Afellay came on we had a five minute spell but I thought max of 4 mins injury time was enough as no injuries but the goal at the end of 94 mins after 5 mins was added.
United played their best they have at Stoke in my opinion in the PL era. We battled and took the lead when the match was even in play, we had opportunities to add to it if we played a better final pass, but Grant also made a couple of instinctive saves. The atmosphere was great and Clattenburg got stick but I thought as a rule was fair and commanding not letting MU players ref the game, though a couple of MU should have been booked.

A precious point. Would have preferred to see Muniesa and Bojan come on instead of Imbula and Ngoy though. Let’s see how much impact Saido has for us. Still 16 games (48 points) up for grabs.

A very fair summing up, Clitheroe. The whole team played well, although I didn’t think that Joe Allen was up to his usual standard, but he still put in a good shift. Man of the Match for me was Bruno. He was tremendous and I really hope that Stoke are able to get him signed up now before other clubs realise how good he is and gazump us. Unbeaten in 2017 – long may it last!!
