The only question is will mourinho go to type or will he go for it? He is under a lot of pressure at the moment, the united fans although could be happy with the results are not happy with the way they play. He got ridiculed for being very defensive minded at anfield, will he risk the same from everyone again? I think they will go for it more than they did at anfield, as the Home team the pressure is on them. We can use that, first 20mins will be interesting
March 9, 2018 at 12:57 pm #1609594If they had drawn the game on Mon night yes I think they’d have to go for it but they now sit 2nd ahead of us.
He’ll set up not to lose thus ensuring keeping 2nd place.March 9, 2018 at 1:04 pm #1609599I agree ginger, it’s shame palace threw it away at the end. The only issue is that united still have to go to city in April, they can’t afford to many draws and even if he does draw with us tomorrow and sets his team up more defensively if spurs win they will be pulled in to compete for second place to. It is close, I don’t think a draw helps either of us tomorrow, my fear is klopp will think like that to and go for it and leave it to open for united to pick us off. As much as love these games I also hate them…
March 9, 2018 at 1:15 pm #1609608Mourinhos record against the other top teams with Utd isn’t good. He’s happy to take a draw as long as they beat the teams they’re meant to be beating.
A draw away to Utd is always a decent result. Our run in is pretty decent. They’re liable to drop more points.
As I said earlier I wouldn’t be surprised if we beat them but I’m predicting a draw.March 9, 2018 at 1:23 pm #1609616Totally agree with ginger. It will be more important for gutless little Jose not to lose as opposed to needing to win. He will stifle our main men and choke the game but I can see them sneaking a win. So hope not and, like rob, I would give my right nad for a win but I just don’t see it. Utd rarely lose at home under the master bus driver.
March 9, 2018 at 1:45 pm #1609636joses record in home games againest the top teams except city is not bad at all. Its the away form which is shocking
he has lost two homes games since he came to utd. Both to city
we know what hes like. he will do everything to stifle us. We need to keep our cool and not getting anyone sent off.
we need some luck as well anbd we never get it at old tarford
March 9, 2018 at 2:23 pm #1609657Correct Sean, we get zero luck at the toilet and we have that cretin Pawson in charge which disadvantages us before the game even kicks off.
March 9, 2018 at 4:46 pm #1609732With VVD in there as well we actually have the tools to park the bus ourselves…I wonder if these experiments at the end of some of our games where Klopp plays 3 central defenders are a key to what we could try?
I’m not actually mean to say we will park the bus in an extreme sense but it’s very possible there will be a variation of the tactics we tried to employ against Spurs. We might sit deeper repelling their attacks and then use the space and our pace to break on them. With VVD in the team we are more capable of that tactic at least.
March 9, 2018 at 5:51 pm #1609739Mwake, tomorrow we will really see what this team is made of
We need everyone to stand up and be counted but especially vvd and Karius. No silly mistakes.
March 9, 2018 at 6:26 pm #1609743Wij is fit also and according to the on-line physio room we have zero injuries. When was the last time that happened?
United on the other hand will not have Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Daley Blind available for selection.
Two or three one to us.
March 9, 2018 at 6:43 pm #1609748One option is to sit deep and then use our speed on the counter-attack. But what about if this strategy backfires?
I just say we play our usual attacking game, but with a lot more caution in midfield and defence, as United are a very dangerous team at home, with several players who can hurt you if they sniff a chance.
Put it this way, our attackers can’t wait to be unleashed tomorrow (especially Salah), and they will be the key to a victory
March 9, 2018 at 6:44 pm #1609749Rob, unfortunately their best attackers are playing tomorrow, and we have to be very careful and contain them. Still think we can win though
March 9, 2018 at 7:03 pm #1609750Same here Song. Lukaku can be cancelled out with a centre back assigned to him. A number of teams have done that to him this season. We then have to pressure their mid hard. Hendo, Can and Ox likely our triumvirate in mid so it’s imperative everyone does their job either side of the ball.
March 9, 2018 at 7:19 pm #1609751Rob, that should be the midfield for tomorrow.
This will be one of those games, where in order to win it, our midfield and defence will have to step up to the levels of performance of our talented attack
March 10, 2018 at 3:38 am #1609780Is Pogba fit? Rumours that he is out…
March 10, 2018 at 9:30 am #1609836Fellaini is in their squad lads
Long ball up to him after 80mins
Nerves are gone. For fucking once let us have a great day lol
March 10, 2018 at 11:21 am #1609865I got a feeling This will be a terrible game to watch & they will get all the calls as usual & wreck our recent good form, it happens every time with this mob. Seeing all the “experts” on LFCTV. & the like saying we will have too much up top for them even enhances what I think will happen.
2-1 or 2-0 to them.March 10, 2018 at 11:36 am #1609875Just love that lineup !
Big statement from Klopp in midfield and CB – Milner and Lovren deserve it !
Walk on !March 10, 2018 at 11:37 am #1609877McTominay to be overawed and booked or even sent off!
March 10, 2018 at 12:03 pm #1609897Happy with the line up! Come on let’s go do this! 3 points clean sheet!
