any reason why United or Chelsea cant appoint Hughes as their next manager, imagine what ho could do with better players, he did okay while at City and want be as much trouble as say Mourinho is likely to cause or has caused?

Doing a great job at stoke. Be interesting to hear homzy view on stoke as they are playing some great stuff. The first goal yday was sublime football. The front four are energetic, quick and very intelligent. Shawcross is back to his best. From what I’ve seen, Glenn Johnson seems to doing quite well going foreard and defensively

I actually wanted Hughes at Spurs as a manager though on a personal level I didnt ever really like him – always came across as an arrogant type.

Nasty old City fired him after 9 draws in a row. After spending loads.

Why does no one remember QPR? After spending loads.

I remember the same things John does…I think this current team is a highlight rather than the general. Off course, maybe he has learnt his lesson and all that, but I’m not getting too excited about him yet..

He’s only been sacked from 2 clubs out of 5 if I remember correctly.

He’s been excellent at Stoke, Villa, Fulham but had difficulty at City & QPR

United are way too big a club to be thinking about Hughes. To get back to where they want to be they will need one of the very best in the game ala Mourinho or Pep

Hughes has improved greatly as a manager and coupled with his vast playing experience I think he would do very well at any club including clubs like United or Chelsea

everyone manager in time has a level as they go up and Hughes is not far off the level of the normal big name managers and I say that on top of having a personal dislike for him-if United or Chelsea can get Pep then okay but I believe his given his word to City for what its worth, Mourinho as much as he is successful brings a lot different kind of problems to every club he joins. His not simply going to change his character even if United demand it from him. Chelsea also told him when he rejoined that they want the manager who is the face of the club to portray an image that would be likeable to the Authorities, Media, Fans and neutrals, they also wanted the youngsters to be slowly but surely integrated and also demanded a flowing attractive type of football and from I heard he agreed to all this though he never implemented any of it, so his not changing for whichever club he joins.
