Anybody else think JM is making a huge boo boo agreeing to sell Martial if he wants to leave? Looking at older players, towards the end of their careers, seems futile but if he gets his £60m, who does he buy?

@united80 just ignore redblood he’s a clueless clown whose testicles have dried up and walks backwards. A very bitter man.

With regards Martial, I would sell him as soon as an offer of 60m+ came in for him. There is a talent there somewhere but his attitude smells worse than redblood’s breath.

There are plenty of players as good as martial I don’t see anything to say wow this guy is future star. He disappears in games for long periods, unless he improves his workrate he isn’t talent will be wasted

Tommy- As long as DDG and Bailly stay I couldn’t care less about the rest, including Pogba and Sanchez.

Why is it that the (arguably) 3 most talented players at the club, Martial, Pogba & Sanchez are not performing? Nothing to do with Jose I presume! His treatment of Shaw is disgusting who he seems to find an easy target. All these players could be gone in the summer and then what are we left with? Would they be performing better under a different coach? Maybe. I don’t like their attitude but it seems to me the manager is also failing badly in not being able to motivate these players. It’s the same old conundrum, do you sack all the players or just the manager!!!?

I think you sack three quarters of the players and back the manager.

For me the only disgusting thing about Luke Shaw is his diet and the fact that he is still at the club, the tubby little man child.

Jose has not learned from De Bruyne, Salah, Lukaku etc. Martial is still only 21 years old. He has all the potential to go the distance. Selling a player like him could be a big mistake. It’s time for both Woodward and Mourinhio to go. Woodward is the king of profligacy and hiring dull managers. United could have Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar and they’d still play this doom and gloom football. Look what happened at Chelsea twice, and Real Madrid the players revolted and sent him packing. If anyone think this going to end any different hasn’t being paying attention. Mourinhio, Sanchez, Fellaini, Darmain, Smalling, Jones, Young, Valencia, Blind, Mata, Shaw, Herrera, Carrick, Ibra, should all go before Martial.

    This conversation is moot.

Martial is not for sale unless you read the silliest of the rags.

I would like to know why so many talented players are struggling under Mourinho? Surely it can’t be that they are all just a bunch of spineless pricks. Something is seriously wrong at the club at the moment and i’m not sure getting rid of all the players is the answer to fixing it.

Also, agree about Shaw. If Mourinho doesn’t fancy him then get rid of him. No need to humiliate the kid. Valencia was way worse than Shaw on Saturday night. Think all this public humiliation goes back to the fact that Shaw rejected Mourinho in favour of us when he left Southampton.

@fatrooney, I agree with some of the point that he goes missing, but I have noticed he only goes missing when we are defending deeper. That is just not his footballing nature. He loves to drive at defences and force the opposition backwards, but JM wants to hold the ball longer and walk the ball into the net. For me, martial showed at the start of the season just how fast he is and how dangerous he can be, Mourinho has reined him in. This is also the same with Pogba and Sanchez.

My other point with this conversation is the two names being bounded as targets, Perisic and Matuidi. Good players but they are past their prime. 5 to 10 years ago, definitely worth a punt, but no longer. It’s getting to the point that anyone over 30 will get the better chances and opportunities and don’t give me the “Mctominay is getting lots of game time” speech. I’m only 43, maybe I should put my name forward for being scouted eh?
I wouldn’t want to see Martial walk away with the potential he has. Fergie got rid of Pogba as I recall, this could possibly be very similar.

    Tommy and Fatrooney

Where was Ronaldo Gerrard Lampard Scholes Beckham Neville etc at the age of 21. I think I will remind you young exciting players breaking into the 1st team not regulars carrying the hopes of team.

The only under 21 players who were carrying the hopes of their teams were Rooney Messi Owen Fowler Fabregas.

Martial came here to a foreign country as a teenager under LVG scored 18 league goals as a 19 year old turning 20 playing mainly as CF and carried the team that season. Jose joins club and strips him of his shirt number and position and hands it to Zlatan.

Jose sticks Martial permanently on the left and slates him publically for not meeting his expectations. Last summer Jose spends the whole window chasing Perisic to play left and when he fails to get him starts alternating Martial and Rashford on the left as Lukaku is the only player Jose trust to play CF.

Martial plays 1st half of season and by the time the January transfer window comes is now showing the form consistently he was showing under LVG. Jose brings in Sanchez and plays him on the left and moves Martial to right meaning has to change his game again from CF to LW to RW. HE doesn’t instantly hit the ground running and plays poorly and is dropped.

I think guys you have been totally unfair in your assessment of Martial and ignored the lack of faith the manager has shown in him.

This why we need a director of football no manager should be allowed to sell our best young players just because they don’t know how to man manage them especially when most managers don’t last longer than 2 to 3 years.

Is he too expensive to go out on loan, to go to a team where expectations are lowers, to play every game, to iron out any weaknesses (attack more on the outside than cut in), to play with freedom to express yourself and then come back to us. We don’t seem to be bringing players on, is it a lack of desire by the players or are they not getting the support they need.

@moral-Agree,his ego is bigger than the club, cant have that can we?!

@N1xer-Creative players struggles under Mourinho, cant have that either.

@united80-Martial has bags of potential, more than any player at United.
He likes to play fast and run at defences. He would thrive under Klopp philosophy and man management guarantee but Mourinho and Martial doesnt mix.

@ika-Your very right. Kick out the fucking narcissist as soon as possible.
I strongly believe a director of football is the most important signing for a decade. I would appoint Cantona. Knows the club and certainly knows football.

If the board backs Mourinho to 2020 we maybe will be thankfull to Mourinho for the man who ended the Glaziers reign.
