As the weeks go on, our league will take shape. So far there are 4 teams with a 100% record and I suspect we will have none by matchday 5.

Some random thoughts on each game from me:

    – Spurs vs Liverpool will be a cracker. If Kane can’t open his account against the rubbish Liverpool defence he needs to take a few weeks off and rest. I expect Liverpool to score at least 2 goals to show their attacking prowess (Mane in devastating form against Shrewsbury).
    – Arsenal will have a tough game but will register their first win. Sanchez or Ozil to make the difference. Now that they are 5 points off the top I expect Arsenal to kick into form (as usual).
    – Leicester will blow Swansea away. Vardy, Mahrez, and Musa all scoring.
    – Chelsea will be devastating against Burnley. Conte to take a risk by starting Fabregas instead of Matic; Batshuayi and Costa to start together up top.
    – West Ham will get a right whalloping at the Etihad. Too many injuries to Bilic’s side and they look quite jaded to me judging from last night. Bilic will have to show his “bounce-back ability” this season.
    – Benteke to open his Palace account.
    – Middlesbrough will stun West Brom with their well oiled attack.
    – Moyes to suffer another loss to Southampton.
    – Everton vs Stoke? Meh.
    – Manchester United to register a comfortable yet unspectacular win vs Hull.

Loving the return of the Premier League so far fellas. What are your thoughts?

this could well be spot on hatters though I fear another draw or defeat and possibly one more before we “kick on” 🙁

hatters i think spurs will beat liverpool quite easily especially if henderson plays as a holding midfielder. We have no Can or Couthino either and spurs midfield is much stronger then ours.

Spurs have a solid spine. Two strong centre backs, two srong central midfielders and kane up top.Without a doubt kane will score tomorrow. i think spurs will 2 or 3 nil.

i cana seee Aresnal and utd winning easily. City to win as well and i really think benteke will do well at palace

@steveosnakeeye. Trust me mate. Wenger’s Arsenal are about to kick into gear. I predict a 10 match unbeaten streak.

@sean. You are typically negative about your prospects and when I look at your assessment, you might be correct. Coutinho and Can being out is a big miss and I have my doubts about Klopp being able to play a defensive counter attacking game. Perhaps Liverpool won’t be as strong as I thought. Klopp should play deep, pack the middle, and play Firmino, Strurridge, and Mane in a counter attacking formation.

@mufc. Maybe you should pick another side to support until Mourinho leaves or gets sacked??

It depends on which Liverpool turn up, the ones that score 5 or 6 in a game or the ones that can’t hit a cows arse with a banjo 🙂

Anyway the weekend is here so have a good weekend all, off to the pub 🙂

@paxman. My mistake mate. My problem is I see Burton, Shrewsbury, Cannock, Melton, all the same to me. It’s all closer to Mersey than anything else to me mate. The ol’ timer used to say that hehehe.

I think we have enough to get past WBA. Problem is our injuries are stacking up, and have no idea about the Rhodes situaton.
I’m back in the UK for the first time in three years, so will actually get to do a few accumulators

I think we’ll win,if not get at least a draw. Most predictions I’ve seen are for Tottenham to win,but we seem to have their number in recent times. If we won,it wouldn’t shock me. I’m never worried about these types of games. It’s the Burnley’s,Watford’s,West Ham’s that we slip up in. Even without Coutinho,we have a lot of goal threat. Sturridge is scoring,Mane is on fire. It’s just whether we can keep them out at the other end

I can’t see ST. We are far to weak in midfield. Stewart has to play as Can won’t play. We can’t play Henderson as defensive midfielder. Spurs have two excellent holding players. Two big strong lAds. They have two quality centre backs and don’t concede many goals. Of course Kane will break his duck today. I’d be delighted with a draw. Just can’t see us winning at all.

Leeds away at Forest today, not very optimistic but we are improving as a team. Continued improvement in performance will hopefully get some belief flowing throughout the club.

Or we will be terrible and it will feel like a kick in the nuts lol
