I guess the big hitters will be back tonight.
Kompany isn’t fit for this.Clichy is touch
and go also?Monaco are top of the pile in France, and have scored
lots of goals in a poor French league.Falcao has got 19.How bad was he at United and Chelsea
in the two years previous? From what little I’ve seen of them. We’ll have
to keep a close eye on Mbappe.Lemar.Silva.Bakayoko
(if all selected)Plus their Brazilian right back Fabinho.Who we’ve been
linked with.February 21, 2017 at 10:40 am #1438229It’s very important for the EPL that City win this tie. Pep has to pick his best players, so no Bravo please. If Monaco are so swift then it may be time to spell Toure. Hopefully Aguero will be up for this one and get a couple of goals. It should be an interesting match. Time not to be caught on the break.
February 21, 2017 at 6:38 pm #1438472Confirmed team
Caballero, Sagna, Stones, Otamendi, Fernandinho.
Yaya Toure, Sane, Silva (C), De Bruyne, Sterling.
Aguero.Subs
Bravo, Zabaleta, Fernando, Nolito, Navas.
Delph, IheanachoFebruary 21, 2017 at 9:39 pm #1438573cannot believe that, What a performance. Great game Blues now finish them off and above all win the next match with the same intensity
February 21, 2017 at 10:03 pm #1438591Jesus what a game!! Between Hope and dispeare was furius on Otamendis performance so mad.
But finale we got to se a glimt on what Aguero can do when he is in form and have his confidenc back so good today Hope he can continue. a great gameFebruary 21, 2017 at 10:16 pm #1438596What a game. Had to watch on TV. Exhausted!
How good was the attack.
How bad the defence!Otemendi rating? 2/10 for me.
Aguero will get so much confidence from that, whew….
February 21, 2017 at 10:32 pm #143860444 years of being a city fan condensed into 93 mins. That’s why I love this club – CTID( and I nearly did tonight!!)
February 22, 2017 at 1:26 am #1438627WOW what a game and what an atmosphere… some quick points:
– Ottomendi absolutely rubbish, a walking liability and an expensive more hairy Richard Dunne (one step forward, one step back)
– Fernandinho – whilst I love him as a player, is no left-back, Monaco knew this an exploited him to the hilt… please learn Pep
– Aguero – like a man possessed. Unplayable at times!
– Sane – is turning into a real top player (ditto for Sterling)
– Ref, not watched the game back on TV yet but their were several contentious calls which friends (who I respect) at home were having differing opinions. The quicker we have video 4th officials the better (that said the feeling of injustice, led to a better atmosphere, which raised the team!)
– Stones – was lambasted on the radio home, I thought he made one mistake (Falcaos second goal) and as above Ottomendi was a far worse culprit
– Finally, I have rarely clapped an opposition goal at City (Zolton Gera a few years a go being the last one) however I applauded Falcao’s 2nd strike tonight – what a great finishSetup to be a cracker in 3 weeks time!
February 22, 2017 at 1:28 am #1438628I should also add I was really impressed with the Monaco No14 – he was superb!
February 22, 2017 at 4:19 am #1438629As a longstanding City fan, I have to say that today’s game was the most exciting, most compelling and most fulfilling game I have ever watched. Ever!
February 22, 2017 at 5:44 am #1438632What a game that was.Best I’ve ever seen at the Etihad.
I’m still marvelling at the second half performance.Pleased for Kun.He looked like a man possesed in the
second half 🙂I hope Kompany will be fit for the second leg.
February 22, 2017 at 6:38 am #1438636Could not sleep after the that game.
Had a puls that must have been so near a heartattack.
Otamendi had a very bad game But beside John Stones defending on Falcaos goal he did a good game i think it could not have been easy play alongside Otamendi in that game. But to be fair i choose to say that Falcao did a superb effort on the goal so strong on the ball rather then blame Stones.
But yesterdays game showed again how we do not got any fullbacks. until we get that we Will not se the full effect on Peps style.
You could Also se Aguero was fighting as he should when he lost the ball or made a bad pass he runed and got it back he was sensational yesterday. Hope he is back in formFebruary 22, 2017 at 8:29 am #1438665Only saw the highlights but looked a cracking game and a brilliant atmosphere, especially in the 2nd half. Think we might been to score at least once over there though…
Agree bluefen on fernadinho, never a left back and we lose so much energy in midfield when he’s not there. Pep looking at Milners conversion maybe?
Btw, did they have Bravo in goal for Augero’s first?
February 22, 2017 at 1:25 pm #1438830Must take issue Huntr, “the most exciting, most compelling and most fulfilling game” I’ve ever watched was QPR, May 2012. That will never, ever be rivalled.
