The possible Ace or Aces in Arsenals pack are the returning players in Sanchez,Coquelin,Welbeck, Wilshere and Cazorla with some of them being out so long they will be like new signings assuming they can get themselves back to being match fit and find some form after such long lay offs.

Spot on. I dont think City could have coped with an injury crisis of the size of Arsenal’s, given their sqaud depth is inferior in terms of numbers and quality.

Nasri, Kompany, Aguero, Delph, Zabbaleta, Silva, all out for lond periods the last four only just returning returned. Clichy, Yaya, Mangala, Fernandiniho, Kolorov, Bony. All also injured at times or currently out. Also quite a lot of big game and premiership winners in that lot most returning for the run in. But hey we haven’t had injury problems! 😉 Jim

All good points Jim especially the one about the players experienced at winning titles.

The fixture list also favours Arsenal. 16 games to go. Arsenal have 9 home games and 7 away games. City have 7 home games and 9 away games.

What really matters is how you pull through the last ten games or so. Remembering City’s last title victory we had to win about the last 6 in a row – something similar 2 years before. A lot of those games were tight but it’s the mental strength of coming through game after game.

It doesn’t matter who someone thinks has the ‘best 11’, it’s about mental strength with a bit of Stardust thrown in.

    So we’ll see!

Arsenal’s injury record has actually been much better than City this season with 22 injuries compared to City’s 47. Arsenal players have missed a cumulative total of 465 with city players missing 769. I’m not sure Arsenal could have coped with City’s injuries but thems the breaks.

United , Spurs and Everton away all coming up for Arsenal and the United and Everton games follow the Barcelona CL games those 3 games could be the crucial games along with City away.
