There are press comments about how much money JM is to be given to make UTD a winner again:

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/493737/Exclusive-Jose-Mourinho-given-300m-spend-Man-United

I know its only the Daily Star but for JM to get UTD back on track it may cost that much. I just hope there is a Director of Football looking over his shoulder to make the final decision. JM’s record at Chelsea wasn’t the best – he bought plenty of rubbish at high prices. Pedro, Cuidrado, Felipe Luis, Costa. We don’t want the same thing to happen at OT.

Nothing wrong with Costa or Pedro but Cudrado was a mistake Luiz was not given enough game time-Maureens main buying and selling issues was that he did not want Mata, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Lukaka – all excellent players who thrive in the EPL. He even got rid of Robert Huth in his first spell, he was always a decent player

I’m not sure how much say Jose had in the purchases. I think that was part of his problem there, he asked for player x and got player y who wasn’t quite up to it.

There is a few things what I don’t like about JM, but further he would be the best choice if he could control those ones.

First he should be stopping to put himself in the spotlight. He should promote United and not himself. Second of all, he is not staying too long at a club. He should commit to United as it was his last job on earth to in everything!!

Good points are, he got lots of experience, what is good for United.
He attracts big name to United to make United successful again, if we go for Giggs I wouldn’t see that. Overall even that it is all in the media, am glad to get rid of LVG!! JM would get 300M to spend in the summer. I would go for Stones/Varane/Pogba/Griezmann/Muller/Sane or Bale. A good match from young excellent players to experience players.

Personally I would be really happy for Jose to go to Utd as the ding dong with City would be worth watching. As a Chelsea fan I was never that keen on him coming back as playing decent football always comes second to getting the result for him. You can argue that is a good thing but it gets very boring and few marquee signings want to play it for long – just see what has happened to Chelsea this season. When Spurs beat Chelsea last season Jose was so horrified that he reverted to type immediately and ground down everyone rather than playing them off the park. He did that against all the big sides as well.

I think his methods are also becoming a bit stale. You just have to look at his haul of silverware since he left Inter. In 6 years he has won 5 trophies compared with 17 trophies in the previous 8 seasons. Even if you strip out the Porto years (although he did win the CL with them) he won 11 trophies in 6 years – one of which was barely half a season with Chelsea.

I also hate the way that he always wants to buy his way out of trouble. His need to win means that he won’t develop youngsters because he won’t accept players making mistakes which affect his very technical game plans. United had better accept that their youngsters won’t get a look-in for any big games and very few of any others either.

As always with Mourinho it will end up in tears. Sure,he might get results but its only in short terms. I dont think he is the right manager for Man United.
