What is the point in Jose starting mind games with Conte? He isn’t competing with Conte.

He needs to start his mind games with Koeman and Pulis.

Well it’s a bit rich when this certain manager chooses to park the bus.

The one thing I would say in Jose’s defense, when Chelsea first won their PL title back in 2005, for me, there was a wonderful array of players in that squad and refreshing to watch.

Some great individual players down the years, and the 2009/10 squad involving Drogba and Anelka were one of the best.

One particular similarity I have noticed in relation to Conte’s Chelsea is that a lot of the time, it is 1-0, 2-0 then shutting up shop and banking those 3 points. This was the prime factor that steered Chelsea to winning the Premier League back in 2005 with only 1 defeat to their name, and over 90 points accumulated.

Maybe Jose’s trying to illustrate he is better.

You would normally class something as boring if it doesn’t interest you or it’s repetitive.

Now Conte must interest Mourinho for him to comment on him, so that rules that one out.

His interviews are controlled and measured and not controversial so maybe not the most exciting.

His pitch side antics though show a different side to him.

Other than that the only thing he does on a regular occurrence is win football matches, maybe Mourinho is finding that a little tedious….Pagan

Remember Jose moaning about Conte getting overcited with his celebrations. Yet how many times has Jose ran along the touchline or slid on his knees.

This is not unfamiliar territory with Jose and as Johnny says it can’t be mind gamers because currently United aren’t competing with Chelsea.

Unfortunately it all ended badly for Jose at Chelsea last season and ultimately it was best for everyone to go in their different directions.

Clearly it wasn’t the way Jose would have wanted it to end and there maybe an overhang from that and perhaps he hasn’t taken well to the turn around at Chelsea under Conte after the disasters of his last season at Chelsea.

Whatever the reasons Chelsea aren’t just another PL team to aim at and this is not the first swipe he’s had at Chelsea this season it would be a shame imo if Jose damaged his Chelsea heritage particularly with the Chelsea match going fans with these kind of comments.

As always with Jose a chunk of what he says to the media is often better left unsaid.

He wont get a response from Conte he’s not that kind of Manager and I would hate to see Jose’s side swipes damage his heritage with the majority of match going fans at the Bridge where he is still held in high esteem for his contribution to the club.

Already bored of Conte’s touch line antics. Is it just me who immediately thinks of Norman Wisdom?

@stuilse – You make me laugh. This guy will lose a few games next season and you will be crying out for another manager. Conte wasn’t so cocky yesterday at a wet and cold Burnley. Was he?? Wise Conte didn’t jump into crowd like that when Chelsea played Liverpool at Anfield his wallet would have gone, lolololol

Never worry stuilse old warroturd is at his little mind games which is why he likes little Jose Pulis and his. Of course Tony Mourinho is wasting his time trying his infantile shite with Conte. The latter has already made him look like a prize tool at the Bridge. As Johnny rightly says little Jose Farqhart would be better off trying mind games against other managers fighting for top four instead of the title winning boss.

Glad I make you laugh Martial…someone’s gotta. Now then I’m sure Conte will lose a few games next season, why he may even lose a few more this season. It’s just that everyone has lost more. As for his crowd surfing antics…love it. But he saves those for home fixtures. Unlike your cocky, disrespectful manager who sprints down the touchline at places like Anfield ironically enough and then tells the away fans to zip it. As for crying out for another manager…that’s all you lot have done since Fergie retired.

Does Mourinho actually say Conte is boring? He said Chelsea were defensive and win with counter attacks.

He’s a very bitter man who can’t stand the fact that he was sacked by Chelsea twice and therefore acts like a spoiled child. He’s better off playing mind games with Bilic than he is with Conte given the current gap between the teams.

This is another example of the negative side to Mourinho. It’s clear he is jealous of Chelsea winning the league and he’s an incredibly sore loser so he is taking digs at Conte.

I imagine him waking up at ungodly hours in a cold sweat, haunted by the nightmare of being in 6th position despite being on the longest unbeaten run in Europe’s top 5 leagues. I don’t mind Mourinho’s petty digs and unsavoury comments – he’s a top, top manager and I have seen his impact already – I’ll take his flaws as well as his virtues.

hatters@10:12am hatters, thats about the size of it mate we all will sell our souls to the devil to win the trophies we crave.

United fans hated Mourinho as much as the Liverpool fans still do a couple of seasons ago but thats all changed now and if a Mourinho appointment guaranteed Liverpool the PL title win their fans still dream of which it probably would even Liverpool fans would welcome him to Anfield with open arms no matter what they might say now.

All football fans are fickle no matter who they support and the almost certain guarantee of trophies makes us all even more fickle. 🙂

Oh dear Martial, even your fellow Utd fans agree that Jose is being pathetic. Conte 3 – Jose 0…the first 2 were for the 4-0 mauling and Jose’s pathetic whinge about Contes ‘apparent’ disrespectful post match celebrations…
