On Sunday we will wrap up what has been a disappointing season. its almost certain that we will start the next campaign with a new manager and without CL football baring a last minute miracle. where we finished in the league is a reflection of our performances this season. everyone at the club has to take their fair share of the blame. time to move on to the next chapter in this fair tale story. where do we go from here? let us sit back and watch.
May 11, 2018 at 9:55 pm #1635260“Where we go from here” is the key phrase imo CMan. The Summer is key to pointing the club back in the right direction.
Massive massive Summer for the club let’s hope the powers that be make all the right decisions.
May 11, 2018 at 10:29 pm #1635266It will be such a shame it ended up soar. i really can’t see how any coach that replaces Conte will do better given the restrictions that are in place. i won’t be excited as i know in 2 years later we will find in similar situation. as for the game on Sunday. i hope our players turn up for that game. i would be better to finish the campaign on a high.
May 12, 2018 at 2:55 am #1635289nothing soared mate but yes pretty sour must admit. Still, maybe we can win the FA Cup and finish off nicely.
May 12, 2018 at 8:08 am #1635299I’m actually looking forward to next season, bring back smiling faces, even Romans clapping hands and big smiley boat race.
To much emphasis being placed on CL football, forget seeing top for as success, that’s the mistake the arse made and means nothing in financial terms unless you get to the later stages, in having any real impact in what big clubs revenues are now across the board.
Who knows with a WC year, no CL football for players may actually be a blessing in disguise in terms of rest and fatigue.
Not sure what restrictions were in place for Conte, got some big signings, if he has failed to get a tune out of them for whatever reason, then perhaps he has failed in that.
Still convinced Contes heart due to personal reasons has not really been in it this season hence all his negativity, and he will be settled back in Italy as his main priority, with a few quid in the bank.😏
May 13, 2018 at 2:30 pm #1635739Interesting team. Barkley starts?
May 13, 2018 at 2:41 pm #1635751Very sensible team there Nine. whether we like it or not Barkley remains part of our future plans. and the fact that he was signed and given a 5 year contract suggests the club has high hopes for him.
May 13, 2018 at 2:55 pm #1635758BP restrictions on the manager were quite clear – its just you prefer not to see them.
Just want this season to end now and move on.
Lets see what we come up with today!May 13, 2018 at 3:02 pm #1635761How can he select Barkley when he has not even used him from the bench. Not only will he be physically but mentally lacking fitness.
Yet another frustration served up by Antonio!!!
May 13, 2018 at 3:30 pm #1635777Sorry to say this but Christensen is def not good enough to be considered “our future!!” So far yet another woeful performance from him.
May 13, 2018 at 3:53 pm #1635801Total crap!!
Only positive is that its only 1.0
Quiye clear that the manager is going and the players dont gove a t*ss!
Are Antonio and the players even bothered to sort things out at half time? Newcastle habe lost their last 4 games and we are making them look so good!
We have no chance in the final next week if this is whats on offer.May 13, 2018 at 3:58 pm #1635806Absolutely terrible first half truly awful from Chelsea possibly the worst of the season.
Not one shot at all.
Massive change around required in the 2nd half to reclaim at least a modicum of respectability!
I don’t care what Liverpool are doing either play for the shirt or go whoever you are!
Those Chelsea fans who have gone all the way up to Newcastle deserve a proper second half performance.
May 13, 2018 at 4:26 pm #1635829As you all know i have defended Antonio but after this for the sake of the club he should go before the final otherwise we have no chance. Put Jody in charge for the final -he deserves the honour to lead the team out at Wembley after all he has achieved.
May 13, 2018 at 4:27 pm #1635832There are no words to describe this performance.
The club need to refund the fans that have travelled 400 miles for this atrocity.
May 13, 2018 at 4:33 pm #1635836Lost for words to describe this humiliation. can’t wait to see the back of this man. Newcastle has been on holiday since they confirmed their safety. and suddenly they turned up and put 3 goals past us. and you want us to believe that this Chelsea is better than the one you have inherited? are you serious? it is United’s to lose in the FA Cup. we have no chance.
May 13, 2018 at 4:34 pm #1635840Far too many changes made over the last two games, players not up for it and Conte being a dead man walking have all taken their toll.
Sorting ourselves out between now and next Saturday will be a massive massive task now.
There’s not one player out there tiday with the possible exception of Courtois who can hold their heads up high .
May 13, 2018 at 4:36 pm #1635843Embarrassing and Conte just stands there. I too have defended him this season, but on this performance you cannot defend him.
I cannot help but think with the last two matches he is continuing to send the message “Well these are the players you signed for me!” He is undermining everything to do with the club. I too would agree sack him now, use the coaching staff we would have left, even bring in Hiddink for the Final. Conte should not be allowed to lead OUR team out at a Wembley Final!! He has lost the players obviously and you need a positive winning mentality going into a final!!
May 13, 2018 at 4:44 pm #1635854Well at least conte didn’t sell off our best assets unlike our last manager. No wonder the club don’t want to give transfer freedom to the manager
May 13, 2018 at 4:49 pm #1635861Deleted.
May 13, 2018 at 4:51 pm #1635863I may have to gauge my eyes out after that bollocks
