I was expecting the side to show passion and go for it. I got an eighty minutes no show then 10 minutes of going for it and should have forced an equaliser.
Newcastle worked hard and had a couple of first half chances but any other season even the last one Stoke would have won this game, thus shows how much we fallen and are now in a relegation battle if we care to battle.
Certain players looked frustrated jack, but sadly playing Crouch our best centre half when defending set pieces kills Shaq’s game and his lack of effort was embarrassing.
Credit to Edwards another promising home game and bar one pass Adam tried hard.
Hughes and the team seem not to be aware of whats happening around them on the pitch and think things will just fall into place without a need for urgency to help get the crowd going as they are killing any atmosphere playing tippy tappy backwards passes in their own half for most of the game. This is not even a rant just a summing up.

Sadly, I am beginning to think that this is to be our last season in the Prem. We have 16 matches left in which we need to win at least 5 and draw the same number. At the moment I cannot see us getting 5 draws, let alone 5 wins. We need an Etherington/Beattie type transfer window to boost the squad and get us out of trouble. We need two full backs and a good defensive midfielder at the very least who can all come in and hit the ground running, but where would we get them from? Things look very bleak at the moment and I cannot see them getting any better soon. I am dreading Saturday – as things are going at the moment Coventry will beat us and fairly easily. I hope that I am wrong about all the above, but my natural optimism is almost completely gone.
