Amazing result. What a performance. This team seems to have no fear…long may it continue.
My man of the match was again Dembele. The way he shields the ball, glides past players, breaks up play was brilliant…his all round game has got better and better.

Stunning performance…again! You know guys, we might not win the Title this season, but there should be no doubt, that we are, by far, the best team in the Premiership. This is without question the best team we have produced since the “glory glory” years. Fills my heart with pride. No Billy big bollocks who think they’re too good to put in a shift. No one hiding when the going gets tough. A manager respected by the entire team, who have absolutely bought in to his philosophy. One touch football that quickens the pulse. Really special times. Long may it continue.

Never been this stoked, ever, since I popped my cherry on Boxing Day 1979 with a 4-4 draw with the Saints. There’s been some decent teams, been some great teams, some exciting teams, been some absolute shite teams, but never seen a team like this one. A team that is seriously kicking butt and most of them are still in nappies. I want to adopt them all!! Lovin’ every single second of this season and already looking forward to next season.

The 64 million dollar question, who the hell to we even try to get in the summer to push on? I really can’t think of any realistic target for the 1st 11…

It’s some team alright and what is standing out I’d the fitness of team.We are destroying teams now in last quarter of matches..yes no big superstars in team who think they are too good to put in a shift. .Poch makes management look easy and shows you don’t need so called “superstars” to be competitive. .it’s all about teamwork, belief and hard work.No doubt we have amazing players too and I believe they are so good because Poch has blooded them and allowed them to express themselves. .I can’t help thinking that the likes of Alli, Dier, Kane or Rose wouldn’t have got much of a look in at other clubs..This is the best Spurs team I’ve ever seen..now is to time to build on it.Hopefully this is Spurs golden era.

Amazing TEAM performance, players look sharper and fitter now than they did 3 months ago. Sounds silly but are like a machine, everyone knows there job and it’s all down to team work. They are giving everything for each other, the manager and us the supporters!!

I turn 43 this year, always dreamed of seeing a Spurs side this good but never really thought i would. My boys are young, both Tottenham mad and hopefully we can enjoy more of this over the next 5 yrs 10 yrs I hope.

What a great time to be a Tottenham supporter. My head and heart both say we can win it this year!!!

We’re coming for you, we’re coming for you, Leicester City we’re coming for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievably good result and performance last night. Thinking back to when Levy hired Poch over De Boer saying Poch interviewed really well and had a clear philosophy with regard to what he wanted to do with the squad and team.

To be challenging where we are now (and arguably being the best team in the League at the moment) I think we have to give Levy his credit as well as Poch and the players.

    Haha Sands,
Nice one mate. Levy deserves credit for appointing Poch! Very good.
Let’s have a little look at Slippery Dan’s track record shall we?
Takes over at Tottenham in 2001.
Managerial appointments…Graham, Hoddle, Pleat (twice), Santini, Jol, Allen (twice), Ramos, Redknapp, Villas-Boas, Sherwood and finally Pochettinho. His track record is absolutely appalling.
I think you’ll find the expression which most acurately describes his appointment of Poch is that “Even a blind pig finds the odd truffle now and again” ?

Bloggy, completely agree .This is the best Spurs team I have seen myself since the Glory years.
Magnificent stylish football played with such flair and at breathtaking speed. As for work rate and fitness – just mind-boggling. Having had so many years of disappointments over so many years, sometimes feel I have to pinch myself to believe that this fabulous side is indeed my beloved Spurs- such is the transformation from just a few seasons ago. This team fears no-one, is undaunted by challenge, and nerveless in the face of pressure. In fact the one who is nervous is myself-fearing to even make predictions in the Prediction League these days for fear I will jinx things!!!
Well mate if we carry on like this, we might turn the meaning of the adjective “Spursy” completely on its head! Best Scoff

Bloggy, I think we can cut Levy a break for now, after all he landed a diamond in the end. The interesting thing is going to be what happens when some rich twat offers him 200 million for Kane, Alli and Poch

    Scoffy,
You superstitious old tart! I wondered what had happened to your forecasts. Mind you…having said that…don’t you dare jinx us up now!…
It’s a great season to be a Spurs supporter isn’t it? Although perhaps not the best season to have given up your season ticket…doh!
    All the best mate.

    Hi Ricky,
Here’s hoping that your “in the end” remark is the case. I don’t think anyone will even remember all the mistakes he’s made if that proves to be the case and we do indeed hold on to Poch for the long term. As to the players…well let’s not depress ourselves with thoughts of what may or may not be the Boards attitude to short term financial gain versus long term on field success.
“Live in the moment”…my new found motto! ?

Hi Bloggy – I know Levy has had a lot of managers and perhaps I am too naive in my praise but I really don’t think he has been as bad as the stats may suggest. From my perspective we have progressed from being an uninspired mid-table side to one challenging the top 4 once Jol was in place and we have strived to progress from there. Is there another club that has done much better in terms of managers in that time (other than those with limitless funds).

Initially I think most of us felt the appointments of Hoddle, Santini, Jol, Ramos, Redknapp and AVB were good choices?

Looking at our main competitors around the time ENIC took over (Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa) I think we can safely say we are a tier above now!

    Hi Sands,
Good to have you back posting my friend.
You know the argument as to whether or not Levy is good for the Club or good for Enic is somewhat academic at this moment. No doubt it will become more relevant as our transfer activity at season’s end commences. Right now I’m inclined to simply enjoy what has been a magnificent campaign thus far, and to hope and pray that it might yet come complete with a cherry on top to make the dream complete!
Indeed this has been such a wonderful season that I for one don’t feel the need to rewrite history regarding our Chairman. His record in appointing, and indeed in sacking, managers speaks for itself. For me, it’s indefensible. As to the overall improvement in our fortunes you may well have a point. Be nice to win something though wouldn’t it?
    All the best.

If Levy is to be given credit, he certainly took his time to really earn it!!
Yeah, so he brought in Pochettino who has definitely proven himself to be the shot in the arm that this club has desperately needed for so long, and to be fair, he really listened to the manager and backed him in turfing out the bad apples who wouldn’t buy in to the new regime. That was really key in my opinion.
But… what if Levy had stuck by Jol or AVB and given them more time? What if Levy had not salivated at the mouth every time one of the bigger clubs so much as glanced in the direction of our key players? Who knows, but we are where we are now.

The Levy test now is that we know the mega-clubs will test the waters and try to tempt away some of our key players. Players who have embraced a philosophy, and players who have grown into a fantastic team unit. Watch them post-match on the pitch or in interviews. Their attitude, team spirit, camaraderie, and collective hunger is something we’ve never seen at Tottenham before.
If the club is to continue progressing, Levy needs to vehemently protect that.
