Any rational fan knows that Wenger is done. Without a doubt. We need to start the process of replacing him now. I’m sure that once the dust has settled on that, he will always be remembered as a great man for our club and rightly so. We all know what he has given us over the years and that’s not in question. Everything comes to an end and we need to deal with it.

However, we also need to make sure that the players are held accountable for what we are seeing on the pitch as well. We can talk all day about tactics and selections but I saw no pride on that field last night. I didn’t see anyone (bar the Ox maybe when he had his 10 second tantrum) trying to salvage some self respect from that game. Do they not feel any shame for producing that? I know again, attitude often reflects the leadership of the team but these are supposed to be professional athletes. There is perhaps only Alexis that takes any responsibility and you can be sure, he is off in the summer.

I look at this squad and other than Sanchez, I don’t see a world class player. I see some decent players (Kos, Bellerin (on his day), Santi,) and a hell of a lot of average or overrated players. Players who think they are something special. Its sad as a fan to feel such little affinity to this group. Who would we really be bothered about keeping? Again, aside from Alexis, I couldn’t really care less about any of them. Complete bottle jobs who should be ashamed of themselves

Apologies for jumping in on what is obviously a painful subject

From our experience I would say that player attitude and team spirit comes primarily from the manager. We have seen Jose (twice) and now Conte really work on this aspect, build up the dressing room mentality and the desire to win to a level that seems to imprint on the players. The results achieved then bolsters this belief

IMO, Wenger has not done that for quite a while and as he appears to have accepted mediocrity (and by that I mean coming 4th is acceptable and not challenging for the league is acceptable) this clearly transmits to the players

We all know that when you are on song then you are good but equally we all know that if we play a strong powerful game then there is every chance that Arsenal can be beaten

It starts and finishes with the manager and much as I would love him to stay if I am being purely objective then he should have left years ago but certainly should move on come the Summer. KTBFFH
