Hi All, or Chris MM anyway. So having got through the minefield of registration here are my thoughts on losing at home to Exeter and drawing at home with Yeovil: In both games we had vast majority possession, majority attacks, but pitiful shots at and on goal. Problem is that we spend most of the time passing sideways or back. As PC said in a radio interview on Saturday after the game, we can’t blame Yeovil for parking the bus, it’s up to us to find a way around it – how true. Tubbs just isn’t the same player this season, either playing as a 1 up front or in a two. But most serious of all, no-one seems to want to shoot direct. That’s where we miss Jed Wallace. So this week’s training has to be a decent dose of “shoot on site”. Also to play for penalties – I don’t meet diving, but we’ve got players skilful enough to run into the box with the ball, and that creates panic in the defence so lets use that and get a penalty more regularly. The crowd was very patient right to the end on Saturday but it was very very frustrating. PC has done a good job on our defence, and got us playing some nice football, but please Mr C make more of it going forwards.

I remember Pompey playing AC Milan in Europe few years back. I know there have been a few dark years at Fratton Park since your famous FA cup victory, but good to see your top of the league table. Good luck Pompey, hope you get back soon to where you belong, in the Premier league.
