Following the clash with Ospina which injured Pedro, Pedro is now returning to London. Shame to see his pre season disrupted let’s hope he’s 100% soon.

In relation to Kenedy what was he thinking what a plank especially in China. Probably the end of him at Chelsea.

After seeing it in action a bit, I’ve gotta say I absolutely love that new Nike kit!

Regarding Kenedy, the whole point of these Asian tours is to increase our popularity and our global fan base, which leads to increased revenue. I’m sure nobody really wants to do it, and it’s probably not the ideal preparation for a new season, but it’s important financially and as a brand. Kenedy has just undone all that work with one completely pointless Instagram post.

As i said in another post “I don’t rate Kenedy” as player he comes across as not very smart he always looks a bit headless to me and now further proof that he is not a smart individual with this social media balls up.

If I understand well what Kenedy posted on his instagram, I think Chelsea should fire him. It’s really racist and unprofessional.

from what I can gather he called Chinese people Porra which is an abbreviation for Portuguese people in fact Portuguese people often call themselves that, however the way he may have suggested it was probably seen as offensive or maybe to call a Chinese person a Portuguese is also a kind of an insult, one of my best friends is Italian and people often mistake him as Portuguese and he hates to hear that remark. Anyway I think Kennedy is in the path of better local academy players and should be sold.

not nice, that seems quite a generous assesment of what porra means in Portuguese? Whatever it actually means it clearly was a very stupid thing for Kenedy to do especially in a country like China and especially as bort highlighted the whole point of Chelsea FC going there was to promote the club to the Chinese market.

It might seem harsh but I would cut him lose now but maybe that’s because he’s Kenedy and not Eden Hazard. 🙂

Kenedy couldn’t get in that highly talented Watford team. I say send him to Vitesse/or European team on loan then sell him next Summer.

My thoughts on the Bayern game:

I thought Chelsea did alright in the end. You have to consider two of the goals Bayern scored were from 25-30 yards. The first taking a deflection.

First half: The wing backs were caught out up the field too often but I wouldn’t completely blame them as I thought Boga, Batshuayi and especially Willian kept losing possession in attacking areas far too easily when really they shouldn’t have, either with bad passing or bad control. Losing the ball so easily when your full backs are trying support the attack ends up with lots of space being left behind and I thought Ribery was the one doing all the damage on the counter.

Second half: A lot better more disciplined and made the score respectable. Cahill was the outstanding defender today. Batshuayi got yet another goal he is looking good in front of goal.

Having problem to post recently, kind of site too busy, something like that. Only saw 1st half against Bayern: we were completely outplayed. Alonso was caught out of position when Bayern scored. (as bort said, but he generalized as wing back). Even though Alonso scored.

Moses was a bit more solid and he provided 1 assist too. This is the problem when we play with Cesc. Our midfield becomes too open. Kante alone cannot close all spaces.

We need Bakayoko sooner than later. It’s worrying that Matic will leave and we don’t have cover for the beginning of the season.

This is exactly what pre season is all about. Highlighting strengths and weaknesses.

You can never read much in to the results as it is unlikely that Chelsea will ever play the same combination of of 11 players in a competitive game.

Also with the exception of that twat Ospina, the tackles in these games rarely tend to be full blooded!

At least Conte is get a good chance to assess up close and a lot of the squad are getting useful run outs.

NOT an ideal pre-season. Only 3 matches and we lost 2. But if we can get our defense gel again as last season, we would go far. We were sloppy. Lack of Matic’s presence was really exposed during pre-season. We need Bakayoko to be back. Kante is an excellent player, but he can’t do everything. He needs a partner, and against teams playing possession like Bayern, Inter, Spurs, City: Cesc is our weak link. He is creative but lack of defensive character.

Now looking forward to the Community Shield. For me: we need to win this Cup, this will give us confidence ahead of the coming season. Arsenal may be without Alexis I think as transfer saga continues. I hope too that Morata will adapt quickly and score us loads of goals.

for what its worth this site is working again so maybe you would like to utlise both Teamtalk and Footydebate-its a far more user friendly site from what I have seen even though I have not yet used it at this stage, there are also people from T/T on it-no harm in debating on different forums.

not nice, the Footydebate site is purely a general site isn’t it?

So no club sites available also very few posters and pretty much all of them from Teamtalk anyway.

I was a founding member of footyplace and from experience I can tell you that the grass isn’t always greener particularly in respect of club sites which are a struggle to get off a the ground but it’s all down to individual choices and anyone can post wherever they want.

Be a shame to dissipate this site though which despite the odd upset which is usually a storm in a tea cuo is still at least imo a great Chelsea site with a lot of great posters on it. Cheers 999

999 anyone can stay on as many sites as they feel – I have always been on many other forums besides teamtalk for years-the footydebate is essentially for all debate under one forum which is okay for now. Also TT need to do something about their technical issues its been going on for months now. I will always stay under the TT Chelsea forum but that does not mean you cannot use other sites or forums as well. The more the merrier.

9, afternoon mate. Hope you don’t mind me posting here. Footydebate was only ever supposed to be a play thing for me. I didn’t really have an intention to try to drive TT posters to my site from here. It was only ever planned to be something for me to practise on.

I only ended up posting the link on here because I was tired of the constant excuses and lack of communication from the people running this site. The site gets fixed for a whole then a few weeks down the line is barely usable then the cycle begins again.

As not nice suggests, there’s nothing wrong with posting on multiple forums and it would be a pleasure to have you contribute on there if you ever fancy it.

As for the club sites, again, because it started as a hobby project, they weren’t included but it’s something I’ll no doubt add. Either way, would be great to hear from you by email. You can find my email address on that site in the sticky topic. I, for one, won’t mention my site again on here as long as it continues to have issues fixed and not ignored. I fully intend to continue posting on both sites.
