    Hello again,

I have read this article and agree with everything in it! (see link below)
I agree we do not want too many additions to the team and cause any problems to the balance and stability.
We need possibly 2 or may be 3 additions to provide competition for places and backup for key positions, certainly centre back, centre forward & a great keeper would be ideal!

I will be watching with very eager anticipation 🙂

Half the month has passed without as much a squeak emanating from anywhere (unless, of course, one is gullible enough to swallow all the gossip and rumour that does its customary rounds during this time).

Monk has intimated, in more ways than one, that he has no intention of going into the market big time. I imagine he will bring in, only, a striker. We have several options in mid-field and there’s a fair amount of versatility at the back (demonstrated so ably-bodied on Friday eve). One thing is certain, however: Monk is not going to bring in a goalkeeper (not in this window, he ain’t).

Well I suppose he said all the things that we would expect him to say. Given where we are I am comfortable with the “softly, softly” approach and not expecting anything much to happen in the foreseeable future. There may be, and perhaps should be, some players leaving.

Lee Erwin and Jordan Botaka are out on loan and really not doing anything at all; there is no point in them coming back into the fold. It is a harsh comment but I am being realistic. Diagouraga looks as if he is headed to Rotherham so that would be good too and I also think Mat Grimes should try his luck elsewhere. All in all though this is just speculation. We have to wait and see.

    Keep the Faith.

Yebbo, Yes, Phoenix. With you on that call. The players you mentioned must move on. Such is the nature of the game. Some will stand the test of time, others will not.

Just seen the news: It’s a day out for our fellow faithful down Sutton Way at the Green Gander in the FA Cup 4th.

Our Barnsley game is live on Super Sport!

Exciting times to look forward to.
