PL winning manager sacked. Over achieving will almost always end up with a bite on the bottom. Ridiculous decision.

Say it isn’t so…shameful move by the board…. and shame on the players if they “bounce”…

Bizarre timing after the Sevilla game. I know they lost but there seemed a bit of hope at last? As ever with these things the players reached the plateau last year and took their foot off the gas. Kante no doubt crucial but it shouldn’t have had the cataclysmic effect it has had. You can’t sack the players, so you have to sack the manager and freshen up the players to be motivated again. That’s modern football.

Terrible decision. At least give him the time to try turn it around. He leaves a Leicester legend

    Shameful.

That will teach him for winning the league.

The only surprise is the timing. New Manager bounce might just save them.

Seemingly done with no new man immediately ready to come in which is a surprise. Craig Shakespeare to manage the team into the Liverpool game.

Amazing to think that the last two Managers who have won the PL title in consecutive seasons have now been sacked.

One point above the relegation zone, he deserves to go. Football is a cruel game, sad but he had to go.

Not convinced we’ll see a bounce that quickly. Players need a serious awakening. Wasn’t much of a bounce with Guus last year.

Yep, we face yet another new manager bounce. Three points for the Foxes.

Mikus, the day Guus was appointed Chelsea beat Sunderland 3-1.

He steadied the ship Nine, but you hardly flew after that.

I was sort of hoping they would move him up instead of sacking him, but a change was definitely needed. We haven’t won in so long now. Everton in the cup would be the last time, god knows when it was in the League. This season, I have seen Claudio devoid of ideas. His tinkerman style has come back but I think this is more down to not knowing how to play our team. Going down cannot happen, no matter who you are, not in this age of football. It can mean life and death for your club financially, I’ve seen it before at our club. It seemed clear to me that the players no longer believed in him or themselves and that is his purpose as manager.

We will forever be grateful Claudio for what you achieved for us, but football is a cruel world. Good Luck!

My money is on Pardew coming in. If we can get him on a short term contract I think he can really turn things around quickly, something he has a track record in. His long term record isn’t the best, but I think he would be the best man to turn us around right now.

This move is just as likely to provide the final bullet to the head as it is to save the Leicester situation.
Another bunch of know nothing foreign owners in knee jerk mode?
Certainly, looking at the run in, I think Ranieri could have turned it round.
I rather fancy Bournemouth to enter the relegation stakes in the coming weeks and Palace don’t look too clever either having obtained no bounce from big Sam’s appointment.
I know there is little sentiment in football but this is abusing the privilege. No doubt they have bunged him a gob closing amount of money to keep schtum about the background goings on.
These guys should be in politics………..ha ha ha
