A perfect combination of Jurgen Klopp and fan passion has helped Liverpool reach the Europa League final, writes Dave Tindall.

Indeed, we are no Middlesbrough (2006), nor Espanyol (2007), nor Benfica (2014) or Dnipro (2015) but we might as well be…such is the hard work we make of any final we ever seem to be in during the 2000’s where we’re expected to prevail. Birmingham, Alavés, West Ham and Cardiff come to mind…and it’s what is keeping my feet firmly planted on the ground for this one.

Riz-man I agree. I know finals are always tough, but we do tend to make it very hard for ourselves don’t we? Crazily, the one final where I would say we were the better team (in 2007 vs AC Milan),we lost. Sevilla will make it tough for us,and have some good players, but for me,they’re no better than Villarreal (and are actually behind them in La Liga). If we perform on the day,we will win,and will be able to look forward to CL football next season, which will hopefully allow us to sign better players in the summer

suarezsteeth – I hope so too because I’m not as young as I once was and I can’t cope either mentally or physically with another of these hard fought finals. :o)

It will be tight because both ourselves & Sevilla have not qualified for the CL through our respective leagues. It’s a huge prize for the winners.
