If we get Sturridge fit and keep him fit then we will finish top4. No doubt. But it is a huge doubt as to if this is possible. Nobody from Tottenham, Utd, Arsenal or Leicester have a striker as good as Sturridge. He could still make 20 goals if he played the rest of the season. Sadly its unlikely, so we must hope that he is fit to face the teams above us at least and take points off them.

i dont think liverpool will make top 4. We are to inconsistent and this is Rodgers team.
I dont think we will see Klopps real liverpool until he gets some of his own players in.

No doubting Lovren has improved but he needs to keep going. A few mistakes in the next few weeks and the vultures be out for him. Mignolet has the most clean sheets in the calandar year but hes still conceded over 110 goals in two and a half seasons. Two wins give us renewed confidence but we cant go overboard. Saturday is a huge test. If are only 5 points off 4th after sat then its been a good chrsitmas and a good dtart to the seson considering we have played all the top sides away from home. Still, the problem seems to be the so called lesser teams. We are too unpredictable.

Agree about Firminio. Hes done ok last two games. Better then Couthino who was very disappointing last night. He is constantly cutting in from the left and shooting. Lalanna works so hard for the team but we need more from our front 4. We need more pace. We only looked a real threat on the break last night when Ibe came on. We clearly need 5 players. A keeper, a centre back, a central midfielder,a wide player and a centre forward as Sturridge cannot be relied on

Mathematically we can still do it. Realistically, it’s going to take a monumental effort from the boys 2nd half of the season, plus we’d be relying on other teams dropping points too. I think it’s highly unlikely. If Man United pip us to 4th spot,I’ll be devastated,as they’ve just been so poor this season, and we’ve shot ourselves in the foot too many times, and not taken advantage of other teams dropping points

I know it’s only half-way through the season, but the West Ham game is massive in terms of targeting a top-4 spot. All the way down to Southampton in 12th, all of the teams are very capable of consistently beating the other teams in the top 12, so it’s particularly important to win a game when there’s the opportunity to actually put a bit of daylight between you and the opposition. The other key factor is being able to turn Anfield into a bit of a stronghold again. After Saturday, we will have 8 away games and 10 home games remaining – with all of the main protagonists still to come to Anfield.

I agree with jimshady.I think Spurs have a better chance than both of us.So solid at the back.Options in midfield and in Harry Kane they have a top class striker.

Manchester United (as much as an ABU I am!) stand a better chance than us!

Everytime I get my hopes up, we are proved otherwise.

We’ve a long long way to go and the clash at Anfield in January could be a 6 pointer or just another game for bragging rights.
