It is early in the season and we must not get carried away but this was an excellent away performance. We are undefeated, kept another clean sheet, scored a couple of cracking goals, nicely made and deservedly took the three points. The distraction with the Chris Wood transfer did not impact at all on the pitch.

Caleb Ekuban gave a good showing but Sáiz and Alioski looked classy and stood out. Jansson was immense and, fair play, Cooper alongside him (who I still am not sure about at this level) was good. I just love the way Ayling goes about his business game in, game out. Let’s hope that the injuries suffered are not too bad.

Regarding Chris Wood, all I want to say is “thank you and good luck” if he goes. It is almost a sure thing. He did a very professional thing in withdrawing from the team before the match and he did it in a very correct way. I would have hated for him to have turned up and put in a half hearted performance because his mind was elsewhere and he did not want to get injured. It would have been like playing the Mackems with only 10 men.(The Charlie Taylor way was different and hugely offensive). Decent money is on the table for a player who wants to be elsewhere. I am hopeful that the club has some irons in the fire to balance the loss.

Bring on Forest for the next match. 37 more points and we can forget about the “R” word!

I agree Phoenix. He went about it in a dignified manner. In any other job, nobody would think twice about changing company to do the same tasks for 3 times the money. I’ve always wondered how Jordan Rhodes would get on for us but is it too late in the day now? No matter, let’s welcome whoever arrives with open arms and hopefully plenty of open goals!

I can’t believe how much better I am feeling now than when I last posted after the Preston home game. To be only one of 2 teams in the whole EfL to be unbeaten in all their games so far this season is fantastic.

Saiz and Alioski I feel will be immense for us this season and I think TC is a very cool, calm and collected Head Coach who seems honest and to the point in his interviews.

Hopefully, we can sign a striker to replace Chris Wood before deadline day and that he is the final piece of the jigsaw for a real promotion push this season.

I don’t think I can believe the start to this season and feeling some feelings that I have not felt in many a year so far as Leeds United are concerned.

What on Earth? We have an owner who is quietly bringing about a positive change in the club in terms of the playing squad, the purchase of the ground and the development of a decent looking management structure that looks like it is rebuilding the foundations replacing what was either non-existent or weak. We have a Head Coach who is new to English football but who presents as a determined, dignified individual going about his business without any histrionics, knitting together a new team which has been boosted with a few classy individuals, gives a straight answer to a straight question and not having a hissy fit when his star striker decides wants to be somewhere else. What’s not to like.

Just for reference, the first 5 games in past seasons our record was: 2014 with Dave Hockaday in charge (still unbelievable!) -Won 2, Lost 3, 2015 With Uwe Rosler in charge – Won 1 Draw 4, 2016 with Gary M**k in charge Won 1, Draw 1, Lost 3. It is early days in the season but I think we are capable of giving anyone a game just now.

Goodbye to Doukara (no loss there), Thanks to Bridcutt (was what we needed at one time but not now). There might be a couple of others to go yet and I would not be surprised to see Sacko be one of them either out on loan or outright sale.

    Bring on Forest!

By the way TSM – Cat got your tongue old friend?

    Keep the faith. WAL
