What can you say? If this is not a mismanagement of the highest order, I don’t know what is. Why the lad never had a chance while with us? Is it because of Wenger’s alleged favoritism? Sure he was underwhelming at WBA. But name one attack minded player who wouldn’t there. Anyway sounds like a waste by Wenger. At the time he left, the Ox was not pulling trees, was he? But Gnabry never got a sniff…

Personally,I never really found Gnarby that impressive to get starts not to say he’s not a good player. If bayern are attracted sure he must have something in him.He went to west brom and failed to make an impression. The fact that he got playing time at not a top club is all the more reason for him to prove himself.

What really frustrates me is how little we let go of him for.The fact that bayern were interested in him we still couldn’t’ even get more than £20m.If it’s anything the club mismanages most, it’s in the transfer market and undervaluing our own players!

This will be one of wengers biggest mistakes.
He has the all the attributes of oxlaide, iwobi, Walcott in one. He is the player that should of been playing well ahead of all of them but wasn’t.

I said a few years ago the same thing I am now, even last year before he left I was. Had a poor time at West Brom but let’s face it messi would struggle to play in a Tony pulis West Brom side.
Everyone in Germany loves him and rate him so highly. Lowe has been raving about him for years.
This is like it’s letting pogba go, difference is we would never try to sign him again.

Completely agree guys – getting rid of Gnabry was a Wenger classic. He would have done particularly well in the new formation and he has goals in him too. I’m sure he’ll go on to be a major Bundesliga star and in two or three seasons he’ll have the likes of Madrid and City bidding silly money for him.

Whilst I am absolutely gutted because I always rated him (thought when he got into the team he always played well and tormented defences), we’re forgetting context. He only had a year left on his contract, Wenger offered him a new deal and Gnabry turned it down because he wasn’t going to get enough first team action. You can’t guarantee youngsters first team football. We’re bigger than any player and shouldn’t be blackmailed, especially by a kid. He struggled at West Brom but to be fair the two weren’t ever going to be a good match.

Goonerz, however much the media would like to convince us otherwise mate, no player has ever been guaranteed first team action. Even Ronaldo and Messi are guaranteed a place, but what Wenger should have done was convince Gnabry that he’d be given a chance – that he’d get a run in the side and if he did well enough, he’d keep his place.

We got £5m for him and if you ask me, it would have been worth keeping him for his final year and risking having to release him for free, in order to spend that season convincing him his future was at Arsenal.

Al: I agree with you. 5M is peanuts these days. But it is Wenger we are talking about here. Just like he screwed up Lasana Diarra, while overplaying Flamini and hoping the latter would extend his deal We know what happened. A guy gets paid a ton of money to manage our assets. He sometimes does such a poor job, it’s baffling. Just like now he is after Leno, whom I like. But why would he come to warm bench? Our own Schezney is going to Juve in the meantime. And for peanuts apparently. Why?
