Mario Balotelli has the chance to “re-launch” his faltering career back in Italy after he returned to Liverpool for pre-season training.

I don’t think he’s part of JK’s future plans and it’s not productive for all concerned for him to be moping around unless there’s a serious U’ turn which I doubt.

If a deal can be done with Sampdoria, then I’m all for letting Balotelli move on for good.

The Italian clubs still want Balo. The purpose of what all they did is just because they want to sign him at an unreasonable low price, on free the best. We should tell a coach to say publicly that we are satisfied with Balo. and we are trying to let him have one more chance.

I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s just been moping around.

Here he is, making some new friends:

Video says it all really. A lad that just hasn’t grown up. Hopefully an Italian club is stupid enough to take him. He’s not worth any money in my opinion but offloading his £90k wage should be enough to offload him.

I’d say that one of the ducks would take him in an IQ test.

His ego needs cutting down to size. He’s played with Inter, Ac Milan, Man City and Liverpool and just because of that he thinks he is something amazing. Good footballers don’t stand still, they try to improve each year. Balotelli has gone backwards yet still acts as if he is the best thing since the invention of sliced bread.

Maybe a stint sitting on the bench at a team like Norwich would help him to regain perspective. Sorry Norwich.

i have no idea what we are officially asking for in terms of a transfer fee, but assuming he is on £80,000 per week that’s £4mil we will save in wages by just cutting our losses and saying goodbye (I think he is now on the last year of a 3 year contract). Not to mention the benefit of not having him around the rest of the players, in the media, etc. Will anyone be willing to pay his wage demands? We will see. I doubt anyone will pay the wages AND a fee – it’s so obvious that we don’t want him at the club and that he won’t fit into klopps style.

Then again, he has promised to sort it out, start looking to improve and to become a ballon d’or winner. Yeah…right!

To think that when we bought him, AC Milan originally wanted about £30mil!
