“The goalie is like a jelly. He isn’t physically capable. He’s Heurelho Gomes without the shot-stopping.” David de Gea has come a long way

Good article that Ian…I remember how bad he was at first but I’d forgotten how long his poor form lasted and about the training and diet issues. Also how he was seriously competing with Anders Lindegaard for the number one spot and the Dane really was a terrible goalie. That night up at Newcastle when Lindegaard got the yips and we got dicked 3-0 might just have been the turning point for our David of Galilee.

Keeping him at Old Trafford every season is always our biggest signing of the summer.

i honestly thought he would leave us this summer but if Mourinho manages to keep both Romero and De Gea happy and content with their GK roles then we are set for that position at least for the next 10 years. The fact that the Real madrid link has cooled down this summer is a huge boost, last year and the year before was a major headache with the De Gea rumours and links to Real madrid. Dave should be RED just like Herrera
