So just trying to collect our summer rumours together. So far Chelsea have been liked with:
Strong Possibles:
CB – Antonio Rüdiger
RB – Stephan Lichtsteiner
CM – Radja Nainggolan
ST – Romelu LukakuMaybes:
CB – Kostas Manolas
CB – John Stones
CB – Emanuel Mammana
CM – Miralem Pjanić
ST – Gonzalo Higuaín
ST – Alvaro MorataNo Chance Think Agains:
CM – Paul Pogba
AM – Antoine GriezmannNow for possible sales of the current first team members. These are the players who have some real doubt over the clarity of their Chelsea future:
CM – Mikel
CM – Matic
AM – Oscar
ST – Costa* Hazard and Courtois have said in recent weeks they are staying unless something miraculous occurs.
May 31, 2016 at 8:51 pm #1044092I would move out Nainggolan to maybes after (rumoured) he said to prefer Man Utd.
After all these years, I don’t think Mikel will go. Especially if Matic goesMay 31, 2016 at 9:01 pm #1044107Aindro,
Nainggolan is in that bracket because every day there is a story linking him to Chelsea unlike the the players in my “maybes” bracket. The United Story is a rumour just like everything is a rumour until the entity involved says otherwise.
I’m not saying we are going to sell those players I am saying there is little clarity about their futures.
May 31, 2016 at 9:07 pm #1044113bort: And I just found this link: http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2016/05/31/24141402/chelsea-to-miss-out-on-juventus-defender-lichtsteiner
Chelsea set to miss out Lichtsteiner (I would be happy if it’s true)
May 31, 2016 at 9:20 pm #1044137Me saying “Chelsea are set to sign Lionel Messi!” would be more accurate than anything Goal.com posts haha.
Though everything is a rumour there seems to be a bit talk about Lichsteiner.
I think Lichsteiner would be a good signing for the next 2 seasons to get the Conte project kick started. You need a short term plans to deliver your long term plans.
Lichsteiner is a great hardworking experienced professional and will improve our right side a lot until we can either sign or develop a better right/left back in the next couple years.

June 1, 2016 at 9:05 pm #1045394Cool whats your source?
June 1, 2016 at 9:24 pm #1045412Daily Star:
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/519978/Chelsea-Transfer-News-Gonzalo-HiguainMyself it;s working hours here, what I do is from time to time I google with this keyword: chelsea transfer and put the search tool to display only results from the last 1 hour to have the latest news if there is 🙂
Not too convinced with him before, but he did score a lot at Napoli
June 2, 2016 at 7:47 am #1045541The transfer window opens officially on July 1st and closes on August 31st at a time yet to be decided.
June 2, 2016 at 7:52 am #1045547Chelsea to offer 101m Euros for Pogba???
Like bort has suggested though there are still plenty of rumours re Chelsea and Pogba that one would still be the surprise deal.
June 2, 2016 at 10:36 am #1045886I also thought the window opens in June, it makes little sense to open in July as that gives new recruits a mere month to integrate into the new surroundings and new team.
June 2, 2016 at 11:11 am #1045976city have just signed Gundogan, a reasonably good player but forever injured, this proves how little top talent is available in the market.
June 2, 2016 at 2:09 pm #1046390as Badfella type says, I think transfer market is already opened: City just signed Gundogan.
99: I would not hope for Pogba, no CL, he just won things with Juve, very unlikely to sign for us. I would prefer Conte concentrates on other targets (if not on Euro :p)June 2, 2016 at 2:18 pm #1046405You can negotiate for players and I’m sure we are actively doing that, you can even pre sign players as Chelsea did with Costa and Fabregas in 2014 but this Summers transfer window “does not” officially open until July 1st and runs until August 31st and players can’t be registered to their new clubs until July 1st.
Any complaints on when the transfer window officialy opens should be addressed jointly to the FIFA/UEFA/the FA.???
June 2, 2016 at 2:36 pm #1046462aindro, I agree on Pogba mate as I said in my post despite the constant links to us that are probably more to do with Conte than anything else that one would fall under the “surprise deal” heading. Allegedly he has also bought a house near Barcelona.?
