Blow 150m on van dijk and griesman? Dont agree mr mak. We need upgrades on a few positions
June 1, 2017 at 12:47 pm #1489459Mr Mak I never rated Salah either, but that was then not now.
He went to Italy and improved immensely, and the stats don’t lie, 34 goals in 2 seasons from a winger is a great return. If Klopp is after him, then I think it’s a good move
June 1, 2017 at 12:50 pm #1489461redsoforever, no need to worry about our left-back position, the transfer window has not even opened yet, deals will be done.
As for Sessegnon, he wanted to stay in London, and you can’t overcome that
June 1, 2017 at 12:52 pm #1489462I think Salah would be a good addition. I watched him at Fiorentina and Roma. He has pace so can come in for Mane when he is out. He can play upfront to. I didn’t realize he had 19 goals this season. He’s still quite young. We have been linked with Lucazette. I’m not sure he has the workrate required though..
June 1, 2017 at 1:01 pm #1489467Mrmakaveli if we had the funds I would love us to go and get Griezmann. I think it would be a fantastic signing. He’d suit Klopp’s pressing system because he tracks back and will run all day long like Mane, he’s quick, he’s a big game player that will be the difference maker in big games.
June 1, 2017 at 1:10 pm #1489469if we are able to get griezman then we should go for it even if it does mean 87 million, but I don’t think there’s even a sliver of a chance… think United will eventually sign him, Atletico have angel correa a ready-made replacement at least until January when they can sign lacazette or Costa etc…
If griezman is not moving, I would like us to put in a cheeky bid for Correa though
June 1, 2017 at 1:11 pm #1489470Salahs actually left footed so no reason why he couldn’t play off the left too.
I’d like us to have 3 actual wide players. We may buy more than one.
Never been convinced Coutinho was a wide player. He always drifted inside.June 1, 2017 at 2:47 pm #1489552Salah`s not worth 40mil is he ? I would be disappointed with paying above 25mil for him
June 1, 2017 at 2:55 pm #1489555Realistically would/could Liverpool spend £85m on one player in Griezman????
June 1, 2017 at 2:56 pm #1489556You have to pay premium for the good established players these days
June 1, 2017 at 2:57 pm #1489557Transfer prices have shot thru the roof these last 2 yrs.
A 24yr old winger that scored 19 and assisted 15 last season, 2yrs left on his contract and an international to boot? It’s the way transfers are going at the min. I’d be happier with around the £35mil mark but then again I thought we’d overpaid for Mané. Look how he turned out.
June 1, 2017 at 3:03 pm #1489568Dont forget Salah also scored 14 goals for roma in the 15/16 season. Roma came second this season 4 points behind juve. I will be very surprised if they sell him for anything less than £35m
June 1, 2017 at 3:08 pm #1489571Salah is good and would be a great addition, had a really good season but not more than 30 million.
If we can get Salah from Roma,i would also take paredes and manolas.
A good central defender that can come cheap is benatia of Juventus.
Is definitely an upgrade to klavan and has a better distribution as compared to lovren or matip.
June 1, 2017 at 3:15 pm #1489573I think the right price for Salah (considering his age and goals/assists), is around the same as what we paid for Mane i.e. 30m-35m
June 1, 2017 at 3:28 pm #1489585I think Roma are looking 50mil euro or 43mil pound. That’s their starting point.
I imagine/hope that will be negotiated down to something closer to the Mané fee which would be about right for me.June 1, 2017 at 3:39 pm #1489591nine while the discussion about us signing Griezman is a bit cuckoo… I would think the only problem would be attracting griezman and maybe Klopp’s reluctance to sign superstars, budget wise we could afford it but his wages would be a headache I guess, anyways bit of a pointless discussion… like I said Correa would be the guy to go for but don’t think Atletico will sell with the transfer ban
June 1, 2017 at 3:42 pm #1489592Hypothetically If Salah costs 40 million then that is potentially 150 million for Van Dijk,Keita, Salah and let’s say a cheap option at lb… don’t see room for a Striker in the budget, looking more likely that we’ll keep Sturridge and maybe buy another backup(a bit more established than Solanke)
June 1, 2017 at 3:51 pm #1489594Reports that we’ve had a 34mil euro bid turned down for Salah emanating from Italy. That’s just under £30mil.
June 1, 2017 at 3:52 pm #1489595Its fair to say that we will break our transfer record this summer but anyone thinking we will double it is fooling themselves.
You guys should also note that most of our transfer fees are based in installments. Or a big part of them, for example we would be paying premium prices if we succeed better in the league, or if we establish ourselves in the Champions league, or if set player scores a set amount of goals.
I still highly doubt we will pay more than 50 million for a player. We also have to keep it in mind that those kind of players get more money for image rights than others.
June 1, 2017 at 4:16 pm #1489608Actually according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma want £30.4m for Salah, while other reports say Liverpool have bid 30m Euros but Roma want 45m Euros (£40m),
Seems all these figures are being made up, although they seem to be in the rough ballpark.
At least there seems to be something happening here
